  • 🌲 “Off-Grid Adventure: Little Presque Isle & Bareback Ridge Hike” 🏕️
Join us on an unforgettable journey as we delve into the heart of Michigan’s wilderness! Our UA-cam video captures the essence of off-grid camping and exhilarating hikes in two stunning locations:
    1. Little Presque Isle State Park
    Cabin Camping at Harlow Lake
Nestled among birch and pine woodlands, 5 rustic cabins await your arrival. These cozy one-room havens accommodate up to eight people.
Equipped with bunk beds, mattresses, a wood-heating stove, table/chair, fire circle, axe, bow saw, and cooking utensils, these cabins offer a true back-to-basics experience.
No running water or electricity-just the soothing sounds of nature. A nearby hand pump provides fresh water, and a vault toilet ensures comfort.
Pet-friendly lodging is available in cabins #4 and #5. Bring your furry companions along for the adventure!
The roads are accessible for all vehicles, but be prepared for a short walk (up to half a mile) to reach the cabins.
Remember to pack light, bring your own linens, and follow Leave No Trace principles.
    2. Harlow Lake trail summit - Bareback Ridge
Note that in the video I wasn't sure if we were on top of Hogsback or where exactly we were, but looking at the maps now that we are home, I THINK it was Bareback Ridge.
🎥 Don’t miss our UA-cam video-it’s a visual feast of natural wonders, family bonding, and the thrill of the great outdoors. Hit that subscribe button and let’s embark on this wild journey together! 🌿📹✨

Dad's young at heart. Great family fun. Outdoors has some much to offer. My mom got my into the outdoors, she's gone now, but memories will last forever.

You guys go to the best places. Thanks for taking us along. By the way, it was Bareback trail you took. You should take an offline map on your phone and flip GPS on for your next trip as it will show you the route you are on to Hogback Mtn.

Thank you! I had downloaded an AllTrails map ahead of time but it didn't turn out to be very descriptive of what was around us.

Do you do any smelt dipping up there?

The smelt do run up here, I've never gone to do it myself... I'm told that it's nowhere near the numbers they used to get but IDK.
