You need to get State Park admission which was $30 if I remember correctly, parking was free, and we paid per site that we stayed at (I think $7-$12 a site but I can’t really remember). There are a variety of trails that you need to follow and back country sites you have to stay at.
I loved hiking up there. An early winter camp was awesome.

@AlexHatlevig so did you have to reserve the sites ahead of time or just pay for just site usage then hike to any site?
What time of year did you hike the 29 miles in the Porcupine Mountains?
