    Lost my wife to Covid 7 months ago. Had purchased the Instant Pot a couple of years back and have been using it on the average of about once a week. Was looking for a meatloaf recipe that wasn't too complimented with 25 different seasonings! Yours was perfect and came out beautifully! My son has also made it quite often and says it always comes out perfect. Thanks for the video. I'm not subscribed!!

    Thank you so much for this very needed and very well done channel. You do a great job of showcasing the versatility and ease of use of the duo crisp/air fryer lid. I love that you cover everything from bread to making multiple dishes at once to veggies or crispy fries, and IP starts with air fryer finish. Keep up the great work, Rachel!

    Thank you very much for your videos. I love them all. Tomorrow I’ll be making this recipe. I already bought the dish for the meatloaf. Thanks.

    I made the meat loaf, cooled it and cut it into slices, before freezing it. I now have a weekday meal option by slice! Tasty stuff.

      Thats a good idea, may I ask your method of warming it up. I think that would be a good option to prep meals for my family

      @@NightTimeMommyReviews Well, you can take out the slices you need and defrost it overnight/during the day and then microwave. Or 'pan-fry' as you would a frozen burger to gain a slight char/caramerlization.

    I'd like to be able to use the instant pot to sauté my veg (celery, onion, garlic, bell pepper), in 2 or 3 tsp of oil, til they get soft and fragrant. When I take them out, I let them cool, before I add them to my raw meatloaf mix. Can I use the instant pot to do this sauté part instead of dirtying a separate skillet? If so, after I take my veg out and turn off sauté, do I need to scrape the pot bottom and wipe the oil, or leave it there and just pour the potatoes and stock over it?
    Do I have to let the pot cool down from saute before I start the pressure cooking?
    My family still call mine meatloaf diaster. Sometimes you eat it with a spoon, other times you need a chainsaw. Seriouly. After making these for 50 yrs, you'd think....
    I'm trying to make this a one pot meal. Maybe you have some pointers.
    Thanks. I loved your video. Very easy to watch and gave lots of info.

    Would love to see a double layer cake recipe made in instant pot without using accessories you have to buy. Use regular cake pans with no lids. I’m assuming I’d use right time foul. Do it pressure cooking and then a regular bake. The adding water is what confuses me if I’m doing a regular bake. I don’t think I will use it same
    As when I saw your video on baking bread. I don’t understand yet being new to the duo crisp which I got a month ago. I’ve not been able to find others doing a successful double layer in their pot so would appreciate if you could cover both. Thanks! Love your videos. Keep up the great work!

      I am going to have to play with this one for sure, but I am up for the challenge

      Looking forward to it! Have a carrot cake I’m dying to make! I saw a woman do a double layer with cake pan towards the bottom on a trivet and then another trivet over it for second layer. She didn’t cover her pans and pressure cooked. It was a fail. I’m hoping the same principle would work but make sure tight foil covers if pressure cooking? Would this layering work too if only using bake function?

      @@darlyneredd5836 I think it certainly is possible using the bake feature, but they may need to be rotated as the top layer will cook faster than the bottom. I am going to be testing it out for sure

    • @darlyneredd5836
      @darlyneredd5836 4 роки тому

      If I place the trivet right on top of the other pan, sealed with foil like stackables do, will that work? Still will need to see about baking 2 at a time but if too low will that matter? Think pressure cooking more the way to go for more flavor, right? See-I’m reading up. You are helping so much! Appreciate you being so accessible Night Time Mommy!

      Sorry I keep using you as a sounding board: I found deep metal water dog food/water dishes in storage (about 6-7”x4” deep.) Once sterilized😉-stack foil sealed dishes on top of each other with trivet between bottom and another flat trivet to pressure cook OR bake?

    Do you not get much grease from the meat loaf

    Dumb question! Would that be the same recipe for an oven baked meatloaf?

    • @NightTimeMommyReviews
      @NightTimeMommyReviews  4 роки тому +1

      Thats not a dumb question. You certainly can use this recipe for baking. For baking in a conventional oven, I would recommend 350 for about 55 minutes. You may need to watch it at the end :)

      Thank you. I love meatloaf but haven’t ever made one. I don’t have an instant pot so that’s why I asked about an oven. Or maybe I’ll try it in my ninja foodie grill. At any rate, thanks for the response.
