Nice! Also, this isn’t Mario, but in AC:NH, when you get a squid, it says it’s off the hook, an Easter egg and reference to Splatoon 2.
Also, for NSMB3, if you crouch on a white semisolid long enough, you go into the background.
You didn’t include the link reference in sm3dw
The next side on Super Mario Bros 1 said Mario free Toads from the curse.
Somone named Emil is cobycat so close rigt?
if you beat Super mario galaxy 1 and 2 with luigi, at the end of the credits it says "Thank you so much for playing my game" with Luigis voice. Normally it's with Mario
and also the hidden green stars in super mario galaxy 2.

easter eggs are truly astonishing to come across.
Dolphin was also the codename for the Gamecube.
just saying it says the mushroom people were turned into bricks not blocks of bricks so the koopas turned them into bricks then put several people into those blocks so when you break it your actually freeing multiple people stuck together
What about peace sign in oddysey? This video is awsome!

i dont want to be that guy, but...
actually, the manual is talking about the ?-blocks. not bricks.
Citation Needed....
And to my understanding when you break a block you are releasing the toads not killing them, but I may be wrong
@@zanehaas3062 Its been pretty well researched, I mean - I am 48 years old now... You can imagine how many Retro UA-camrs I follow... How many Reddit Threads, How many In Depth Dives I have looked into including old magazines...
...And NOPE! When the game came out - The Instruction Manual has images of Toads being changed into BRICK BLOCKS...
...As for if they DIE when you break them? Nintendo and lead Designer Sighirou Miyamto (I apologise for my spelling - I know I have that wrong!) have simply never gave a definitive answer... As its Nintendo, I would assume you actually Break The Spell!
But in Canon... We simply do not know! There is NO OFFICIAL WORD - We can only speculate.
You say stuff like:
„There are way more easter eggs in this game, but I wont show them here“
Although the title literally says
„Every easter egg in every mario game“
And then you even go over the ones most people already know about, with half of the video consisting of describing a world-wide known game. This feels very boring and like a random bad news article or a middle school presentation.
I like to think that breaking the block frees the mushroom people, and they revert to their original form when the pieces of the bricks fall offscreen and reassemble into the mushroom selves! 🍄
you know that they are talking about question mark blocks right?
@@CircleAnimations it says bricks and not blocks so its each individual brick is a person so your helping several people glued together get unstuck

Super Mario Bros. 2 (USA) is just as “true” of a Mario title as any other Mario game. It was originally developed as a Mario Prototype and later received the Yume Kōjō branding. When being released in the US, they put Mario back in and changed some other elements to fit. The game has been rereleased as a Mario title in Japan on many occasions and even got a Japan only sequel, BS Super Mario USA.
Multiple enemies and other elements from this game have become staples of the Mario franchise. Shy Guys, Bob-ombs, Pokeys, Ninjis and even Birdo are all from here and are major parts of Mario’s World to this day. Mario waking up from a dream at the end of this game wasn’t a reference to the fact that it wasn’t a true Mario game - it’s to show that the entire game took place within the Dream World of Subcon, as the manual directly states.
No it's more like they made the world for the show then made it a Mario game
“Give a listen” *plays clip where Mario is running through a bunch of coins so all you hear is coins instead of the music* 😅😅
The flute in Super Mario Bros. 3 plays the same tune as the flute in Zelda 1 does.
11:49 Nintendo is paying respects to the 2D Mario games
😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮
Also the manual also says they give u gifts when hitting them so the mushroom peeps are question blocks
The Mushroom people that are brick blocks are the brick blocks that give coins and power-ups. The bricks you break are just bricks.
THANK YOU!
Everyone always fails to mention that part.
Not question blocks, just the brick blocks that turn into hard blocks when hit and give you items.
@@seandwalsh3 no question mark blocks too
@@bohoonkim501 no, it explicitly says it’s just the Brick Blocks that become Hard Blocks when hit.
If you beat the original Super Mario Bros and dont reset your console, then all the Goombas will be replaced with Buzzy Beetles!
Actually, you achieve this as you save Peach, you unlock hard mode.
7:20 mushroom kingdom ppl bruh these are mario faces
2:07 it also actually works with 0, but since you get the corresponding number of fireworks, you get zero fireworks :/
Lol
19:14 this is total stretch
Yeah, its actually referencing hit ? blocks from super mario world
9:10 interestingly enough this is also called KK song in Animal Crossing.
Omg ur right
That's because Totaka, who made that song, puts it in every game he works on, Animal Crossing and Super Mario Land included
19:18 actually, those blocks are probably just pink snake blocks, not a reference to Kirby. Just putting my thoughts out there.
Do this with mario kart! There are so many easter eggs in mario kart like the cool reference to mario kart wii in mario kart 8 deluxe's labo section of the title screen
In super Mario 3d land, after you beat w8 castle 2, if you go back to the title screen, when Mario goes through the title screen level, his moves will be more flashy than before, with him now cutting corners and doing more advanced techniques like the rolling long jump.
No offense but your not killing toads in SMB you’re actually freeing them
9:47 as a lego fan and Nintendo fan, I find this quite shocking
You: makes a video titled every Easter egg in every mario game
Also you: not including every single Easter egg because you previously done them in other videos
Me: so it’s not every Easter egg in every game
So true
The truest thing
i'm sorry but can you PLEASE stop saying that mario 2 in the u.s. isn't an actual mario game? everyone knows that at this point.
In SMB3, there's the whistle we see the TLoZ, and plays the same song which would become the intro to OoT.
9:16 you can hear an iPhone turn off from the recording

Probably reading the script from his phone, turned it off at the end of the segment.
In Mario 64, you forgot the Song of Storm painting before the stairway to the second story

btw, those mysterious figures in Galaxy 2? Those are known in the files as hell valley sky trees, which death valley I assume part of that name is also the file name for the galaxy they appear in that game. It's believed they are tree spirits. They also are programmed to be a set distance away from the player character, so no matter how close you try to get to them (even through cheatcodes), you will never reach them.
I wouldn't call information in the manual as an easter egg, since it was plain as day and easily readable when you bought the game back in the day. Not really an easter egg, that's how NES developers often had to set up the premise for their games.
Also, you said you're not going to include glitches and exploits unless the devs intended it, but then proceed to include a glitch for SMB2
Or our of bounds stuff in SM64
Since I can't find any comment about it: The music in the Special World in SMW actually changes if you just wait on the screen for a while.
Just stop reminding
Mario 2
The “F” in sm64 is just the edges of the collapsing Bowser blocks
i think super luigi u deserved to be added to this video, alongside the rpg games (Super Mario RPG, Paper Mario, the Mario and Luigi series), but all in all, it was a great video! there were some I never even would have thought to check for!
Just so you know the Piantisimo 2 character in "Super Mario Sunshine" was not meant to be a Zelda Easter egg but is supposed to be a famous Italian Marathon runner, though they may have used to running man from the Zelda Games as a Model for the character as that would have been easier for the programmers, also you should know that there was supposed to be more lines with Mario actually talking in the game but those lines were written out in the final draft but the content is I think available somewhere online
Its IL Piantisimo not 2. The font is really bad in Sunshine in this regard. Many people get confused but it's understandable

Can you please make that separate video of the Easter eggs from Odyssey? Would love to see it!!!
Fun fact in Super Mario Bros. for the NES whenever you break a brick, in lore, your actually freeing the toad not murdering so not breaking the brick is a bad thing
When i play either super Mario bros., super mario bros. the lost levels or super Mario bros special, i prefer to play the super Mario bros crossover (1 of the best flash fangames (i use flashpoint infinity version 9.0 to emulate flash games)) because it has pretty much everything from the original 3 games, but the original lost levels no changes on other setting is improved a little in that fangame cuz instead of the 8 stars thing & you SORTA need to do the same thing as in the the all-stars version, but its not the exact same, world A, B, C & D are part of the main game instead of being secrets & peach ( the character your character + skin is saving will not be in world 8 but instead instead a toad (possibly someone else depending on who & in which skin you play as) is there & peach (or someone else again depending on who & in which skin you play as) is in world D-4 instead + it has from 10 characters, each of them & the game itself with a few to quite a hand full of skins, a save feature, different difficulty's, the ability to replace a toolbar by either a buzzy beetle, a spin or a spike top, letting green & / or red piranha plants come out of either some or all pipes (or not sure, but there might be an option for no piranha plants at all, different moves for some characters, letting damage either make you turn small or turn you back to the previous power up or letting damage instantly kill you, even with a power up & more, there are also chats that you can unlock by either beating its unlock condition, like beating a level (or any 1-1 on any difficulty, not sure which 1 of the 2) gives you the infinite time cheat, break a certain amount of blocks to unlock the chat that allows you to break blocks with the head as everyone, stomp a certain amount of enemies to unlock the everyone can stomp chat, beat a world or beating the game once (not sure anymore about which 1 it was) to unlock the extra checkpoints cheat, kill a certain amount of hammer bros to unlock the cheat that turns all enemies into hammer bros & more, you can also unlock i think all cheats at once with a certain code at the bottom of the cheats menu (you can probably look it up) which is good for those who can't be bothered about unlocking them the legit way, so basicly i think this is the definitive way to play smb1, lost levels or special after 6 or 7 years
In Mario Odyssey in the rooms where you have to feel where the moon is it plays the Super Mario Bros 3 music from the card houses
If you ask me the thing about Luigi being playable in Mario 64 should have been something they added to the Switch re-release and still could as in the form of DLC(Downloadable Content) kind of like how if you hold L+R in "New Super Mario Bros" for the DS you can play as Luigi instead of Mario, also think that this would make up for the corrected glitches in the re-release that "Speed Runners" were unhappy about in the Unlimited Backward jump being corrected, though I for one am glad they did that as using glitches to speedrun in my mind again may only lead to more problems in the gaming system which would most likely affect other games as well
I love games that have easter eggs. They're like secret presents.
Did he say star instead of moon

No. Read the rest of the manual. Page 8 clearly states that only the Brick Blocks that can’t be broken (the Brick Blocks that contain items/coins and turn into hard blocks when hit) are transformed Mushroom People. imgur.com/gallery/NN0leNL
Just so you know I think that the Blue toad thing you mentioned for "New Super Mario U" is only available in the Switch re-release version, I think
The first Easter egg isn’t talking about the brick blocks, its talking the question mark blocks that give you power ups
Another Lost Levels easter egg. if you touch the flag when your coin count is a multiple of 11 and the last digit of the timer is the same (Example: 77 coins when the last digit is 7), you will get a 1-UP
Personally I find the Rosealina missing part of "Super Mario Galaxy 2" to be a bit disappointing, though I think that Nintendo did try to make up for it by having her as a Playable character in "Super Mario 3D World"
Great posts Copycat! Love your content. Maybe a "Best Castles of Nintendo" video sometime?
You forgot that in new super Mario Bros wii if in multiplayer or single player holding toad when you finish an level at 11,22,33... you can unlock different toad houses at the start of the world depending on your time.
66: A mini mushroom *shows Mario getting a Super Mushroom* bruh
A very broad definition of Easter eggs here. Many of these are questionable, but story details spelled out in the manual, glitches, and stuff unintentionally left over by the developer definitely don't count.
The Dolphin thing is also reference to the GameCube, as it was almost called the Dolphin.
I was surprised to find so many easter eggs here I didn't know about! Great video!
Also, does Super Mario Land 2 really need an Easy Mode? If any Mario game should have one, this one isn't it
In super mario oddesey, the hand signs when grabbing a moon are based of SM64, SMG, and another one i cant recall.

I don't really care enough to correct you on everything, but the big issue is that Project Dolphin was the codename for the GameCube, not Sunshine. The island being in the shape of a Dolphin is a nod to that. This isn't even something that's obscure, lots of people know this with minimal research
You forgot about galaxys U R MR GAY. If you dont know what Im talking about watch the sparkling stars on the title screen.
This is not EVERY easter egg man! There's 30+ years of eggs. Not ALL of them have been found haha. Fun vid tho
Fun fact: toads were called "Mushroom Retainers" until smb2 usa in 1989
I remember once reading an article where someone very closely analyzed the text on the star statue in the courtyard. Apparently it reads "A secret star lies here" which, in the DS version. A star does come out of that statue after collecting the 8 red coins from the Boos.
@@praquenomereal Nintendo never said that as far as I can tell. There was one guy on reddit who had asked Nintendo about the "L is real" thing and got a response. The responder said that the text is meaningless, and the developers put it there as a joke. Now, as a Nintendo of America "Game Play Counselor" I'm a bit skeptical of how much insider development info he had access to.
The writing may well be gibberish filler text that they knew would be crunched to the point of illegibility. If not though, the best reading of it that I've seen is "A secret star lie here ~" that Sean above referred to. There's no definitive answer though.
L is real 2048 doesn't make much sense beacuse that number means nothing , Eternal Star makes a lot of sense beacuse this is a star statue. But I think this is just some random scribbles
O love how the NEW in the NEW SUPER MARIO BROS yeah its not gonna be "NEW" in 10 years
One Easter Egg you missed is in the level that looks like the dessert galaxy in "Super Mario Galaxy" where the castle you see in the Background after you hit the flagpole appears to be(at least to me) a look alike of the "Saint Basil's Cathedral" featured in the Game "Tetris"
Just in case I have never mentioned this to you before is that while the American Manual says the Mushroom People were turned into bricks, it could be a miss-translation from the Japanese Manual which may have meant something different like the land was turned from Mushrooms into bricks or that they meant blocks instead of bricks as the blocks are unbreakable.
This might not be an Easter egg but the records house in Super Mario Bros. U is actually Nabbits house
One Easter Egg you missed in "Super Mario 3D Land" is the P-Wing level skip power-up which you to the best of my knowledge can only get in a unique Purple house thing which appears as a reserve item that allows you to skip to the end of any level which for me is the only way I could ever beat the final special level that appears only after beating every other aspect of the game
