Now here is a real-life metal detecting expert. One of a very small nucleus of them, still living. Bravo indeed Gary Blackwell. From a non XP user. XP only employ the very best, genuine testers.
One of the best things about buying a Deus is the amount of great information and testing you pass on for users....Ive been an avid Teknetics and Nokta user for a few years, great machines, but, the Deus to me is next gen, and the information you impart is a wonderful guidance for users to get you there....well done sir. ;0)
Hi Garry, thank you for this video that proves that the new XP disc is proven at the depth level, it's really impressive. Have a good day and see you soon... Toch, Gironde, France
Thanks Gary, helpful as always. New to Deus II, so learning lots. First dig with it on Sunday! Hope to say hello at Detectival in a couple of weeks. All the best
This gives the impression that the large coil is deeper than the smaller 9 inch coil. But this is not the case, the large one simply covers more ground. But the secret weapon for coin shooting is the 9 inch coil!
Cracking video I've always used the 13" coil with my deus 1 it always Amazers me what it can pick up on roman sites and medieval sites picking out them small targets I use the x35 13" coil it's excellent and this is what I've been waiting for for me to get the deus 2 👍🏼
A big question for me is balance. I gather the larger coil weighs 100g+ more than the 11” coil. Does it make the detector too heavy and off balance? I father that was a big complaint about the 13” on the original Deus I? Feel free to send me a free one and I’ll do a review! 😊
Have you got yourself a cameraman now Gary??? Another good video, again would of been great to see 3 machines with 3 different size coils with a comparison on those deeper signals. You are uploading quite a few pasture videos recently, that was a beautiful patch, great weather too. I got my coil yesterday 😁
Hi Gareth, good to hear from you, glad you got your coil. Stuart does the filming for XP we have been working together ever since the original Deus video series.
Looks great.. I bet it won't fit in the xp backpack though?? The 11" seems to fit quite snugly.. I'd like to have a spare coil and the 13" would be great. Nice video as always. Great tip about the frequency change too. Thanks.
Some coil size comparisons would be great. My wife and I have been detecting for around 5-6 years now. I've found around 13 hammereds with my 11" coil, my wife has found 2 with her 9". We've put in a similar amount of hours. Possibly quite some difference in find rate with a bigger coil.
I see you are using the WSA 2 receiver module and I am looking to purchase the module to use with my WS6 master and I already have the headphones and would like to get just the module receiver....any idea where I can find/purchase that little baby? Mike in sunny Florida
That's the thing with depth detection. Digging through 25 inches of rocks and roots like that must be rewarding. But sometimes there's a medieval ax hidden down there.
It's a pity it's the same as the Deus 1 13 x 11-inch coil. I would prefer a 12 x 9-inch coil. Mybe i will get the coil but it's a bit big for my beaches with all the Iron. And the lugs in the centre of the coil! Last Sunday at the dig i found a small Fob Seal with its stone inside. I didn't know till i washed all my finds. I thought it was a misshaped bit of lead. Glad i didn't lob it in the hedge. I was getting fed up with all the lead i was finding lol. Good vid Gary.
Ive had all makes of detectors deus 1 I wasn't a fan but the deus 2 is my favourite detector by far I don't think I will ever change, ive tested mine against a manticore on the same targets and the deus won , what I want to no is the 13in coil any deeper than the 11in ? Personally I doubt it as my 9in is just as deep as my 11in , I haven't tried the 13 in so I'm interested to no it would be better for the beach
Hello, the biggest difference between the 13" and 11" coil is the ground coverage which allows you to cover more area in fewer sweeps. Regarding depth, the difference with the 11" is honestly not significant.
Some way cool bits there iam doing a premiere at 815 UK time pop over meet some otther metaldetecting people and your channel link as well your brother tezza 👍

Well done young man for the information on the big coil. Keep them coming
Thanks Tim

Thanks for your thoughts Ralf.
Maybe true on smaller items,
but on larger coins and relics especially in the UK 13/11 coil definitely has a advantage over the 9" coil
Hi Gary! Thank you for this video.
How do you think, what difference in the deep between coils 13x11" and 11" on same settings?
I would guess on a large coin perhaps 4cm.
You will notice a better depth difference on big targets.
@@The-skillschool thank you!
@@The-skillschool Gary, could you take a testing coils 11" and 13x11" on same setting and show some deep targets?
Great vids mate, been a real help to me having never used an xp before I got my d2 👍
That seems like a great coil. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks TRMD

How much deeper does the 13 in find coins than standard coil in your soil?
A big question for me is balance.

The weight and balance is very much the same as the 13" coil in the Deus1

Great tip about the frequency change too.
Thanks.
It fits perfectly in the backpacks.
@@The-skillschool oh, that's good to know.. Thank you very much 😀😀
Did the balance issue get fixed? I really like that coil on the Deus but the balance is way off.
Some coil size comparisons would be great. My wife and I have been detecting for around 5-6 years now. I've found around 13 hammereds with my 11" coil, my wife has found 2 with her 9". We've put in a similar amount of hours. Possibly quite some difference in find rate with a bigger coil.
It could be different detecting techniques or simply luck .
Can I have a Deus 2 shirt??? 😊 Great video as usual Gary!!!
Sure! Check out our Where to buy page to find your XP dealer: www.xpmetaldetectors.com/en/implantations.php
In cm is 28 this one in the video?. Plus it comes with the machine or extra??
