has anyone just stopped and listened to the percussion playing after the sax as Eric B sings the outro? that has to be one of the funkiest rhythm/beats I've ever heard!
Thanks mom, for having that amazing 60’ & 70’s album collection. Don’t know where I’d be if I didn’t grow up with them. I’d probably be listening to Nickelback instead of here, with the greats
Li conobbi su vinile negli anni 70. Io ero giovanissimo ma un amico più grande che lavorava a Londra mi parlò di Eric Burdon e gli Animals... Da allora fu grande amore...i War.... Guilty!!!
Howard Scott on the guitar, blows my mind!! He still gets down with the WAR sound, with his WAR bros, Harold Brown/drums, BB Dickerson/bass, Lee Oskar/harmonica, but they are called the LOWRIDER BAND today, the REAL WAR band.
INCREDIBLE! An historic performance by one of the best white blues singers and the premier funk/soul/jazz legends WAR. I'm so blown away by this...viewing should cost an admission fee! Thank you 'magnusmagic7' for the video treat. Burdon and WAR are totally 'timeless' here. I wish all their fans could log on to see this! Thanks again so much!
...MY FAVOR BRITISH WHITE BLUES SINGER Mr. ERIC BURDON and WAR, I WAS 10 YEARS OLD THE FIRST TIME I HEARD HIS UNVELIABLE VOICE AND SINCE THAN I'VGOT EVERY ALBUM I SEEN OF HIM, NO MATTER WITH WHOM HE RECORDS, ERIC WAS HERE IN ELGIN,IL JUST THIS PAST AUG-24-2013 AND WENT TO SEE HIM HIS PERFORMENCE STILL GOOD AND STRONG VOICE STILL KICKING...!!
This is such a fantastic, even transcendent performance! Charles Miller is simply on fire here with his alto sax solo. And Eric's got it goin as well. If only they had used this live version for the "Black-Man's Burdon" double disc set, even though the studio version, at an extended 8:30 minutes, is pretty damn solid as well. What a fabulous band of true musicians!
@@michaelvlcek1766 I happily defer to your expertise in brass. I know Miller played alto, tenor, and baritone sax, along with flute and clarinet. An amazing talent, and what a horrific tragedy he was stabbed to death aged 41 during a botched street robbery. But thankfully his musical genius will live on as long as these recordings are preserved and that at least some from our flawed species retain a capacity to recognize and cherish great musicianship.
@@yusufu9 I remember when I found out that Charles Miller was killed. It was years after his death and my heart really felt woe and sadness. I love his beautiful soulful playing and have listed to the long version of The World is a Ghetto thousands of times and still listen to it. Sun oh Son on their Live album really showcases his talent. He will always hold a special place in my heart.
@@Memo-nd6fj I was sad to learn of the tragedy as well -- taken away in the very prime of life, but what a musical testament Charles Miller left behind for all of us blessed to know of his greatness.
That whole entire album is solid and what albums that came out after they left Eric burdon wow badass The world is a ghetto and deliver the word are my favorite to war albums
Lovin´more every day War-Burdon, a truely magic fusion Rock, soul, blues& latinjazz. The perfect join of interracial guys that brings great music all time.WAR deserve 2b at Hall of Fame,A LOT!!
everybody so great, excellent percussions, sax so athmospheric and still driving the rhythm, ....but mostly I'm impressed by the Guitarrist. Steady, Tight, Rolling, Driving it, Grooving like hell during the whole song (set), just WOW!
I always thought Burdon was awesome but after seeing this vid I'm pretty sure he is also the sexiest man to ever walk the face of the earth. Grrr Baby, grrr.
Wow! What a fantastic performance from all the musicians. Eric Burdon is up there in talent with Plant, Daltry, Jagger, and Lennon. War you ask? Quite simply one of the best bands ever.
My fave from the "BRITISH INVASION" which I witnessed first hand. Was about thirteen when I first got turned on to the Animals and knew right away there was something special !!!! Eric Burdon is a survivor because he's real in every sense of real !
I like this classic Eric Burdon video, I also notice Lee Oscar, since I'm Harp player! even though the sax player drowns him out, you can hear him little bit towards the end!
Thank you!! For your sharing this! I want to volunteer to be in he time machine transports me back to the he time of my youth to do his all over again!... just his time in slow mo!

The voice of a Rock singer with the style of a Soul artist. Incredible.
EB was always a blues singer.
Eric has an excess of sex appeal, he is absolutely beautiful... ❤ and that voice! His particular stile of singing is the best ❤
❤Sí, yo lo amo 🫣
Es único, no tiene imitador❤ERIC LO MÁXIMO.
No fancy stuff, just a natural voice used to perfection. Wondrous
Yessss! He's wild crazy raw sexxx!
Eric, War, why the F didnt I go see them. One of lifes regrets.

There’s a groove, and then there’s this tune.
I am so sorry I have never seen him in concert. ❤
Finally a song that has broken my fever for more cowbell.
that cowbell rocked the whole joint
Eric Burdon one of the most greatests singers ever
The Best
The band was firing on all cylinders here. Eric Burden....... my lord what a voice.
ok, I need my whiskey now...
This is probably the best live recording of EB & War ever made.
I would love to see They Can't take away our music from this show.
