How to do an oil change on a Yamaha Dragstar 650.... this particular bike iis the XVS 650 A cllassic but its much the same for all of the XVS 650 range!
@hacky2008 I have problems finding words.... on the cuff! you should do a vid like this on your painting, your projects are great but theres nothing like a good how to video!! :P
Unless there is a specific reason to use that oil on this series of bike... As for the filter, that is done at service time, I changed the oil for summer, then changed again for winter, for, again, a very specific reason on this series of bike...
Before you do anything, go buy a couple of marine grade M10 x 50 bolts. This is due to the allen bolts holding the rear cylinder exhaust on are notorious to get out, may need to apply some heat, and are made of cheese...
That's a major operation, that involved the removal of the exhausts, footboards, the right hand engine cover and sundries... Best left to your mechanic, because getting wrong blows the engine and a new engine is ver very hard to find cheaply.
Cheers man, great video. Glad to see someone else giving out about the stupid placement of the oil window !
love your work my friend thanks for the tips your a legend.
Jesus Christ thank you, i could not find where the oil level indicator was!

How many litres of oil is changed?
Should use Vtwin oil for air cooled motor....not just 4T....always change filter too!
