I don't know if you saw (in the full reaction) the post-credit scene. I personally would tell you to read the manga from the beginning. And I think it doesn't take anything away from the anime reaction.
I say this as someone who is caught up with the manga.

I recommend that you listen to the opening and ending and now read the lyrics, believe me, it will hit you differently after watching the anime

Also teared up the moment the ending song kicked in and Himmel said those words. Toughened up when he said it'd be embarrassing if we were to see the next season, then cried more the moment I realized there'll be no more Frieren Fridays until then.
