Also - there are passives from tree that give: passive skills give +55% increased energy gained => 10*(1+0.55+0.55) = 21 energy on crit =>5 hits required for 90 energy
I agree that based on the wording this loop should be possible. I am hoping that it would be possible to run multiple meta gems that synergize with each other. Assuming a crit still causes elemental ailments getting I could see a scenario where you use Elemental Invocation + Elemental Discharge to cause ailments and remove the ailments only for the loop to add it with a subsequent crit and more ailments. Mana will definitely be an issue if the trigger gems require it.
I'm not sure if you acknowleged it but most metagems (like this one) acts as "auras" and reserve spirit. I also suspect that the mana reservation rate on support gem is gonna affect that spirit reservation. It might become an interesting challenge to build around if this ends up as costing too much spirit for a six link or if this limits the other auras you might want instead.
@@FiatNyx i cant wait to find out! I am not sure if the spirit cost will scale, but if it does, then we will just need to build around it, or take it slow

Hey friend! I was also thinking about the possibility of looping. If that doesn't work, do you think it's possible to set up two separate configurations? One could be focused on "Cast on Crit" with three spells and a support gem to increase the chance of shocking, and the other could be "Cast on Shock" with three different spells, using increased critical chance. This will make the first setup trigger the other setup and visa versa. Additionally, we could leverage weapon swaps in this scenario, where the first weapon set maximizes crit chance, while the second setup boosts the chance of shocking. For the passive skill tree, the first set could focus on crit chance, while the second focuses on shock chance. Do we know if the weapon swap will happen automatically when using "Cast on Crit" with the first weapon set and "Cast on Shock" with the second weapon swap? It will really look funny if she spasm between those 2 weapon set.
@@gamerguy441 we dont know about the weapon swap yet, but i suspect it will work even if the animation does not show for meta skills. I also want to go the cast on crit elementalist ascendency to add to the combo. I cant wait to get in game and test. I suspect my first run through the game is going to be slow and super scuffed lol
Im thibking of doing something like gemling , stacking strength, casting arc with cast on crit proccing some physical spells. No idea if it will work but gaving fun daydreaming about it. I imagine early game will be awful though.
I see attack skills don't so that's a shame. While looking through the list I see raise shield is considered channeling. I wonder if it works with cast while channeling skill? Channeling skills are often weak due to lack of movement but it could work as a defensive? Hold shield up and during that time cast some utility like curses?
I am very excited for the build possibilities that meta gems open up! Are you cooking anything up for POE2?
