I like what you said about kind of liking that you don't KNOW what you're getting into. That's how I felt choosing Gemling Legionaire. I felt like witchhunter was the obvious "safe" choice i was supposed to make. But i went the other way. I like the idea of having to put in the work and be creative with the ascendancy. Im mercenary, but only level 30 right now, and changed to more of a ranger bow build a few levels back. ANd really enjoying it. It's just how i picture a mercenary / assassin in my mind. Less of the tanky / grenade thing the mercenary seems to be. thanks for the info!
I always prep a huge pot of chili con carne for league starts because it's ez to put portions into the freezer and it will taste even better after 2 days. Contains everything i need and want from my basically only "real" dish per day. Other than of that some fruits and nuts to snack on, water, and if I get really hungry in between a nice muesli.
I plan on playing Grenades Gemling, Gem Studded is just insane to me, +proj +aoe and -cdr are premium stats for grenades and you get all of these from gems. Also cluster grenade and grenade launcher are basically the same skill so u probably want almost the same gems on both of these. I also thought about a playstyle that mainly alternates between flash grenade + devastate support and Grenade launcher + exploit weakness support for clear, you can get both of these sub 2 seconds CDR so its spammable. then you just build a giga cluster grenade setup with hourglass and second wind + whatever and you get 4 charges to destroy single targets... cooldown might get too clunky tbh :D. ALSO; so this might be dumb trying right on start but gemling also opens up the possibility for str stacking and thus enables point blank support from which we get 2 of with Gem Studded. What I'm most worried about is the passive tree node that gives +1 Grenade proj and +50% grenade duration... does the duration also apply to fuse time? If yes, this might be untakeable right? So if this is the case Deadeye might juts be the best choice because of the +1 proj in my mind. Anyways, I will still start Gemling 100% because its just the most interesting choice and also, there HAS to be some INSANE combo with Gem studded... I mean the whole game is literally balance around just being able to use one of each support and I can't imagine GGG accounted for all the combinations Gem Studded enables.
Homemade granola bar for breakfast, prepping ground beef with onions and peppers, I'll throw it on top of lettuce and throw some shredded cheese and taco sauce on top. Only drinking water (never been a coffee drinker) I'll be good for 12 hours on day 1. I'll be working the 8 hours prior to launch, and can do 16-20 hours after that every day until tuesday at least.
I'm doing gem legionaire projectile mage With (if it ends up working) a bunch of trigger gem setups Getting that +1 on skill gems and then getting a staff with +2 on (honestly any pf the elements) would work pretty well
Speaking of food prep, cooking suvid meat/fish is really op. You basically buy fresh chicken/fish you like, add sauce as you want, split it between vacuum packets and freeze it. Then u put it into multycooker/hot water for an hour and enjoy nice meat. Save A LOT of time, kinda cool tech.
How is it you don't have a thousand comments in your UA-cam videos when you're one of the most elite players the game has to offer? In any case, I think blood mage is the best league starting archetype because she has everything you want from a league starter--defense (grasping wounds aka free progenesis), sustain (vitality siphon--10% spell leech), and your pick of damage routes. That said, I like stormweaver just b/c I think she's the classic sorceress taken up to 11, with options for starting early game (a lot of free exposure, more chill or shock depending on what you want), and a phenomenal scaling vector in Force of Will (there are those MtG references again) that can supercharge her free arcane surge. I can easily see a start going arcane surge -> exposure -> choice of elemental specialization (frost or shock). Endgame I *think* she's going to be a lightning-centric caster because of archmage scaling off of max mana, so you go the frost route so that your lightning can also chill/freeze (that is, shaper of winter + force of will). With merc, I think gemling is going to be highly dependent on gearing to get more juice out of minmaxing gems whereas other ascendancies get free raw power up front, and witch hunter feels like so much bait. Decimate/cull looks nice for mapping, but I think explodey provides more than enough utility there. The concentration route I *also* think is kind of troll, because I think all the endgame bosses will have huge attacks you need to dodge out of or invuln phases that lets them restore their concentration. You know how if eradicator got the 40% of life as max ES mod b/c you had to run him as a Kirac mission and he took an hour? I'm afraid that's what happens to the concentration mechanic more often than one might think, but could be wrong.
I wanted to go Gemling from the first time I saw the ascendancy. I'll go 1-4-5-6 first. Quality is good, level on attack skills is not that good. Solving mana shouldn't be left to an ascendancy. More skills, double use of supports and max res seems realy good. Of course there is the attribute stacking meme build, but I'll go more basic, archetipical mercenary. Wouldn't go 4 first because it's too early for 3 extra skills, 5 might solve mana problems because clarity support can be used twice.
you might have swayed me into gemling. The more i look at witchunter the less appealing it is... really wish you could swap ascendencies so i have both options :[
The downside of Obsessive Rituals is way too big for it to be worth taking. Phys damage is generally the most dangerous form of damage because of how armor works in PoE 1. I'm assuming it works the same in PoE2 so reducing armor and evasion by half for some extra elemental mitigation. Miss me with that dogshit.
Yea 2-3 is bait, cull is BEFORE the damage is applied so... it's probably not even good for white mobs because you'll probably be one shotting them anyway, and if not and one hit does 40% damage , second 40% then the mob is still alive and needs 3rd so the cull is useless. And yea the decimating strike, who cares for like avg. 17.5% hit on full HP boss where it's got only easy moves and arena is clean...
Quickly produced Yapping Video on Explosive Grenade Mercenary Ascendancy options, some Launch Plans, and some Food Prep. Recommend watching on 2x.
2x speed is life
rly great content. helped understand the classes a lot. ty havoc!

Wow actually tried on 2x speed and now it sounds more like havoc :)
Noted.

Still don't know between the two, I saw a guide by ZiggyD with Witch Hunter and Wudijo did gemling.

Umm no one asked?

as a mexican i must implore you to CEASE with the ground beef taco recipe
sounds delicious!

Seems inefficient. Going to pound pizzas and pass Sleepy Havoc tired from burritos.
Why not deadeye does near shot or far shot effect grenades?l with + proj?
Grenades are projectiles but they deal area damage, not projectile damage, so far shot doesn't work.
I'd go for 2 and 8 on the Witchhunter.
Seems like an amazing sinergy.
Everything you said in this video…I 100% agree with…
Double hourglass, double MP, double whatever…too strong
Thanks for the video brother
Four words…Plasma blast…and elemental Conflux..

Going Chaos Caster Bloodmage rn. I love chaos damage and hate minions, so hoping I can get that to work with Witch.
What spell do you plan on using?
@@vspecter3548 Hexblast rn. Probably also going to have Contagion to help freeze enemies as well.
I enjoyed the part where you talked about minmaxing irl
grean tea (white tea if you can get it) with honey and milk is a realy smooth caffeine booster.
Agreed, I've had a lot of success recently with green tea instead of coffee.
7:04 that 10% is discusting when you upgrade a gem to 20%. 30% Quality lol
Gemling is good if you want to theory craft builds and have fun and be deadly lategame. WitchHunter is if you want fights to be done really soon.
I was gonna do gem long as my second character but I’m just gonna start them now
you might have swayed me into gemling. The more i look at witchunter the less appealing it is... really wish you could swap ascendencies so i have both options :[
I think I will go Witchhunter. I'l save Gemling for when I have a bit more knowledge of the game.

Ground beef or turkey with sushi rice and a microwaved vegetable of choice. Gotta stay anabolic.

true. explode even with 10% might be nice though. thinking about RF chieftain who clears the rares just be exploding the normals.
i just gave up on merc and going to start deadeye grenades :s Took 2 weeks off, wife and kid are out of town, i'm going to blast like its 2013 KAPOW
Send your wife to me I'll take good care of her while you play league launch
Did they nerf Crystalline Potential? I swear it was higher% in the reveal video. Maybe gem quality is actually really strong...
Was 14% earlier I think
Im so tired of grenades, cant we have something else ?
Maybe a dragon breath round( white phosphorus)
Havoc pls post SBD
how i can play ballista?
