Great presentation! I've tried many of the fabric options, to include freezer paper on both sides of the material. Ultra heat bond worked the best. If you use the Ultra heat bond though, you do not want to put that on your sewing machine. The needle will get gooey, and carry into your machine. Use a lighter bonding material that has instructions for sewing. I have not tried the lighter bonding yet.
Hi, Lily! Thank you so much for sharing this video! This was so helpful for me, who just received a Cricut Explorer Air 2 for Christmas from my husband & Daughter. I didn’t think this would cut basswood or fabric and was considering on buying a Cricut Maker 3, in order to using these materials. I will be definitely searching for your other video, regarding all materials. So very helpful! ❤
I did the thick cardboard with settings of corrugated cardboard changed the pressure to 350 and added more pressure. I did go over it 3x and it made a good clean cut!
The fabric has to be bonded before cutting, instead of heat n bond I use pellon fusible interfacing/stabilizer and you can get it in different weights according to the type of fabric
Everyone is commenting on your content, which is great by the way. However, I must admit that the best part of your content is obviously YOU. You are a goddess in case nobody has told you today. Thanks for the informative video and keep up the good work.
You did explain and show us very well. I don't know how feel other people of buying this Cricut and its design space both are horrible to use. It is fine if you just buy it for home crafting as like personal use but no it's not for business or professional use
Happy Saturday everyone😁! I hope your weekend is going great! Wanted to share a materials test cutting video with you! If you have a cricut or plan on getting one I hope you find it helpful 🤗🥰
Good day Is it possible to cut different depths with you cricut maker. I love to work with craft foam. But sometimes you just want to make a line and don't want to cut threw the foam. I just want to line for the face not cut it out. Can someone help me with it please
Great video. I am looking on buying a cricut explore air 2. I'm interesting in making small shipping boxes. Have you tried little cascara's or crave'n pizza boxes. I want to use heat transfer vinyl too. Thanks for your help.
Thank you. I haven't tried it on pizza boxes but I think it might work if they're on the thinner side. If you plan on cutting thicker materials alot I would recommend the maker as it's made to cut thicker materials.
I know it's been 7 months n you've probably already found your answer. I just read that the regular Cricut Maker cuts basswood. That's the only Cricut machine that specifically says it cuts basswood in the description. Hope that helps even though I'm late to the party!
I think it's possible. It depends on what leather you use though. If it's too thick you might have to do it with a maker not the explore but, if you buy the cricut brand leather designed for explore machines you should be fine.

Wich blade do I need for wood ? Please

A deep point blade for the fabric works better on the explore.
Thank you fir the hard work! Very informative
The wood cutting is great! Will it cut basswood?
I know it's been 7 months n you've probably already found your answer. I just read that the regular Cricut Maker cuts basswood. That's the only Cricut machine that specifically says it cuts basswood in the description. Hope that helps even though I'm late to the party!
@@ac2586 That's right. Thank you for the response :)
Do you think 🤔 it’s possible to make a leather cover for a Bible?
I think it's possible. It depends on what leather you use though. If it's too thick you might have to do it with a maker not the explore but, if you buy the cricut brand leather designed for explore machines you should be fine.
I could not get mine to cut cardboard AT ALL as I was trying to make puzzles
Yes it won't cute regular cardboard. only the corrugated cardboard.
You actually need to iron that freezer paper on at a 400゚ setting
