Super cute! I think it’s positioned perfectly!
Love your projects. I learn so much, thanks!
Loved your project. I think your position of Bunny is just right and this is the first time I have ever seen anyone do a project with the wood veneer material. great job, thanks for sharing.
I just love to watch your videos. I love your enthusiasm
I’m so excited you did this video. I have the same cutting machine and I thought only the makers and the new explorer could cut wood. I’ve gotta try it now.
Super helpful! I’ve definitely subscribed! You are excellent at presenting! Thx!

I bought three of those same little houses at the Target Bullseye section! They are so cute!
i would have done middle but now bottom yours looks great. thanks again
Excellent video, man. I just got some of that veneer at Michael's yesterday---1/2 price! Was wondering how to 'glue' it to another surface. This is PERFECT. Thanks.
Super cute
Love this
Thank you!!
hello love this
I wanna do this!!
Now I want to add this wood veneer to my list!!
Mind blown
Such a cute project. Loved the tip about applying the adhesive to the wood before cutting.
Thank you so much!
This is great, thank you! Does it matter which way the wood grain goes - horizontal or vertical? Is there a "best practice" for that?
Would totally love to see if finding paper thin wood options other than cricut brand for the explorer air 2 that the deep point blade.
I made 7 men’s birthday cards using my Explore Air 2 and wood veneer - cut out the words Happy Birthdsy - I used the various shades of veneer and they turned out so nice - then I cut out 3 different leaves and an acorn for my Thanksgiving cards this fall - I actually used two colors of the veneer for the acorn
Soooooooooooooo cute
Burnish it down like it owes you money, just love that 🙂
Love it never knew how to cut on my air 2
I’m so glad you loved it! 😃
@@mrcraftypants what type of wood do I need for my cricut air 2?
Hello from Georgia
I wasted a pack of basswood and a pack of chipboard trying to cut it with my explore air 2 I was so sad. I have the maker now and can’t wait to try it.
❤❤❤❤
What a cute project! Quick question, do you think you could first use your cricut to write something and then cut out the veneer? I’m thinking about wood labels. I’m a newbie with my Air-2 and have no idea if that is possible. Thanks - I have learned so much from your videos!
You definitely could, but you’d want to cut it with the wood side facing up. It may not cut as clean though.
I wasted a pack of basswood and a pack of chipboard trying to cut it with my explore air 2 I was so sad. I have the maker now and can’t wait to try it. I would’ve placed the bunny the same.
Can you paint the wood veneer for a splash of color?
I agree sitting at the bottom is how I would have done it.
Best heat transfer tape that leaves no residue and you can keep it on the decal for a while?
Where did you get a black cricut?? It's so nice
Thanks for another great video. When cutting the veneer does it matter the wood grain direction?
I cut it horizontally and vertically and I really couldn’t tell a difference to be honest.
@@mrcraftypants okay thanks.
I would set it at the bottom
Not quite what video is about but can an Air 2 cut craft mat? the 4 ply? With the deep point blade? Have looked everywhere for video and this is the closest I could find. I need something a little heavier than cereal box cardboard for my doll shoes - about twice as thick, and have no clue what to use, or look for, or what machine I would need to cut it. and THIS is the reason I want to upgrade from my Joy (which does the cereal box and craft foam) very well. but want that thicker "board" and want to do more foam soles at one time than Joy can do. (Otherwise LOVE my Joy.). Thanks
I would like to know if it is possible to engrave on the circuit maker onto a wooden baby teether. It is round about 70mm so it has a curve and is round. I wanted to engrave my business name onto them in a script. Just don’t know if I buy a circuit maker if it is even possible. Thanks!
Try using a veneer, they usually are available in 1/64” and 1/32”
Mona I’m in Ocala
Here at 5:32 PST
So the only kind of wood I can use with this machine is Cricut brand wood?? Why didn’t it work on your wood, when the machine is supposed to cut wood, I’m confused.
I have this problem and I have a cricut maker.
I like him at the bottom. I would have added a white or colorful pompom for a fluffy bunny tail. 🐰
I have been laser cutting very delicate earrings out of 1/16" birch and I am not happy with the results. Too much clean up. Will the air 2 cut the veneer and glue maybe 3 layers together?
But do u have yr machine set on
Would the glue get on the blade and make it sticky if you cut on the sticky side???
I tried cutting it both ways and thankfully never had any issues with the glue getting on the blade.
@@mrcraftypants thanks
HI, so sad I missed the live :( Just curious, how many passes did you do to cut this out? Thanks, and it is so cute!
Thank you!! I sent it through to cut twice. 😊 Thank you so much for watching!!
I'm having a very hard time cutting my wood with my Cricut explore air 2. I follow all the steps and everything but it either doesn't cut through or it breaks! I want to make some wood earrings/ faux leather earrings to gift to family and friends. Please help!!!
Hi! Having problems…my cricket explore air 2 isn’t cutting through after the first few passes…not sure why :( help!
Actually I noticed my blade doesn’t sit flush after the first few passes. Ever encounter this?
@@markieezsn145 Hello. How are you? Did you ever figure it out? I have the Air 2 as well. And was hoping it would work with 1/16 at least this way it would be more ridged! Please let me know. Thanks.
THIS IS EXCITING TO TRY!!! Where would I be if I didn't have you here to show me this cricut world!!! Thank you Michael!!!!
What about using
the maker
You can definitely cut much thicker wood on the maker 😃
I am a beginner I haven't even taken it out of the box LOL I have air 2
Lol! Get that thing out of the box! 😆❤️
I would have put the bunny on the bottom as well.
Here am I thinking I would need Cricut Maker 3 for wood cutting 🥴😂
SCAN I USE WAX PAPER INSTEAD OF PARCHMENT PAPER?
You can, but it doesn’t seem to work as well in my opinion.
@@mrcraftypants thanks I picked up some parchment paper today. I love your videos, you explain everything so well 🤗
I enjoy your videos as they are very interesting and you offer great hints. The video would be a bit more pleasant if you could choose another adjective describing your excitement about the parts of the project you so enjoy.
Are you serious? 😂
And that’s all you could complain about today??? With a war going on, people going hungry, the price of gas and groceries etc., that’s really all you could bitch about??? Change the channel! If you don’t like it!
Sorry Michael! That’s just ridiculous
You ratel to much
Then don’t watch? 🤷🏻♂️😆
I'm really sure you can build it yourself. I did this 2 weeks ago thanks to the Woodglut plans.
Hello from Georgia
