It's Godzilla vs. Kong. You know what you're getting and it basically delivers. This may be my favorite out of the four MonsterVerse films released. It also holds a special place in my heart because it was the film that helped save movie theaters after the COVID shutdowns as well as my first film back in a theater since COVID.

Pretty sure Godzilla went beast mode because Kong nearly chopped his head off. Ego has nothing to do with it. I seriously don't know where this whole ego thing comes from
It was confirmed that Kong damaged Godzilla’s ego. He went out of his way to battle Kong in the Tasman Sea and even battled him in Hong Kong when he could have been going after Mechagodzilla. Plus, when he defeated Ghidorah, and the Titans submitted, Godzilla could have killed the Queen MUTO, but instead wanted her to bow to him.
@@jw_gojifan19 That's ridiculous, where was that confirmed? Also Godzilla fought Kong in Hong Kong because he was interrupting his plan to destroy Mechagodzilla. Ego had nothing to do with that. Same with the Tasman Sea. Also the MUTO is a species that near wiped out his kind. You make it seem like Godzilla is a tyrant. No, that's not at all what he is.
@@FrostbiteDigitalbro it's confirmed by the director on an interview. Godzilla was just playing with kong the whole time until kong damage Godzilla's ego 😂😂 I mean it's not really a fair fight in the first place lol
You also have to remember. This was Godzilla that was tired and used like maybe half his strength and power digging into one side of the planet to the other side. No rest and he just kept on moving.
In case if you guys didn’t know, Kaylee Hottle, who plays the character Jia, is actually deaf in real life and she comes from a family who are all deaf, and I was really glad to see that a movie like Godzilla vs Kong is exploring on the whole deaf and sign language disability representation. Also, the next MonsterVerse movie, titled Godzilla x Kong The New Empire, will be coming out in 2024, with Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry, and Kaylee Hottle returning.
Much like how the actor who plays Sam in The Last Of Us is actually deaf. I wonder how long it will take before conservative radicals attack such inclusion in media as "woke".
Seeing Godzilla and Kong fighting again after their 1962 showdown is awesome enough but adding Mechagodzilla into the mix made it more awesome. Now we just gotta see what monarch legacy of monsters and GxK the new empire got for us
I'm so excited for Monarch Legacy tbh, they can expand so much on the other Kaiju and possibly generate interest in novel new enemies/allies for big G. I'm hoping they give them some access to classic Kaiju though, I'd love to see Biollante done in modern CGI
I remember sitting in the theater and when mechagodzilla was about to show up everyone was buzzing. And finally on the reveal of ghidorah taking over! Man the whole theater went crazy
Fun fact. The person who designed the Mecha-Godzilla from Ready Player One did this Mecha-Godzilla as well. Which is basically inspired. I wish they kept the design from Ready Player One because it has some similar designs from the previous films like finger missiles from 74-75. And the Head shape inspired by 93 head design. I think you guys should react to all of the old Godzilla and Kong movies. Also...do you react to movie trailers?
Guys come on Godzilla isn't a bad guy in this movie he just wants to keep check of the balance in the world and he tries to do that , You know it really pains when you treat Kong like a king and Godzilla like a wanna be King
Godzilla killed thousands just because he wanted to bully Kong (who just wanted to be left alone). Godzilla may not be "evil" but he cares about humanity as much as a hurricane does. Kong is way closer to a good guy, and he should have won.
@@Backfromthedeadguy You've seen Godzilla King of monsters movie right , he was trying to protect Earth from getting destroyed by Monster zero, but what Kong does is he was chilling in his cute little island, Even in this movie Godzilla was after the mecha Godzilla but what Kong did he just messed up the natural order by coming out of his island and fighting with Godzilla for unnecessary reason, he (Kong) may be intelligent but not in a long shot as Godzilla
@@abdulahamed6728 Did you even watch this movie? Godzilla wasn't trying to "protect the natural order" he was just killing because he felt threatened (he killed thousands of sailors and thousands of civilians). And Kong was far from looking for a fight. Even when Kong went to the center of the damn Earth, Godzilla still wouldn't leave him alone! He drilled a damn hole all the way down just to provoke Kong. That massive destruction could have destabilized the entire planet! How much death and destruction does Godzilla have to dish out before you realize that he may not have your best interest at heart?
@@abdulahamed6728It is very clear Godzilla doesn’t care, there is no malevolence, he is just protecting himself. Also, they explain why King is being moved, he is too big for the island and they need to find the Hollow Earth.
In case you were wondering: King Ghidorahs consciousnesses is held in its bone matter. It's how the three heads communicated with eachother, due to the telepathic uplink from the skull to Mechagodzilla, at the end instead of Mechagodzilla going on "autopilot", King Ghidorah's consciousnesses took over, so the mech was essentially being piloted by the head of Ghidorah. This is why it was hyperfocused on slaughtering Godzilla and didn't really mind Kong, as Godzilla was Ghidorahs arch nemesis, and wanted revenge for what Godzilla did to it in King of the Monsters.
The Artic site is actually where King Ghidorah was trapped in the last movie. Given how close he was to a Hollow Earth wormhole, there's a good chance he was looking for something when Godzilla stopped him.
The ocean battle is awesome, Kong shows how smart he is and how much he cares about Jia by taking the battle away from the ship she’s on, his hops are sick lol
There's a plot point that was left out of the movie, but the reason Godzilla knows to go after Mechagodzilla is that his eye contains a rebuilt version of the Orca device in KOTM, which would've been used to make other monsters submit to him after he killed Godzilla
Fun Fact: The Director said that Godzilla wasted most of his energy drilling aa hole to the Hollow earth, and if he hadn't, he would've easily beaten Mechagodzilla. (This also means Godzilla beat Kong at half capacity.)
25:39 I like how Kong looks in the ship before crushing it and tossing it away. He was making sure his family wasn’t in the ship. 32:52 I love how he does the “Martin Riggs” treatment for dislocated shoulders.
I don’t know if you noticed, but Kong before he killed the girl and the guy inside that ship he checked to see if the little girl was in the ship first
fun fact: the director said that godzilla probably would have defeated mechagodzilla alone if he was at full strength because he was only at 50%. just before he blasted a hole through the earth and also fought kong so he was fatigued
REAL FACT: The director DIDNT say that and actually said the battle would’ve turned out differently if Godzilla was a full power. Differently doesn’t mean Win or lose. It could mean Godzilla could’ve held his own better without MechaGodzilla wiping the floor with him.
Easily the best Monsterverse film out of all. This was phenomenal in the theatres and saved Cinemas. By the way, Mechagodzilla was not controlled by AI, he was posessed by the conscious of King Ghidorah.
In this movie, it showed how mad Godzilla was, because before if the ships and planes attacked him before, he just ignored and swam underneath them. But, in this one, he broke through them.
I love Kong and I love seeing him go toe to toe with Godzilla, but I think this movie sort of portrays it right. Yes, Kong can make Godzilla work for the win, especially on land, but Godzilla has been around far longer and fought more Titans as tough if not tougher than Kong. He will absolutely respect Kong's strength, but Kong has to know that Godzilla is stronger. If Kong had not dropped the axe at the end, there probably wouldn't be a Kong for future movies.
@@gigachad6742 it’s clear Kong hit Godzilla so hard it made him splatter blood from his face on top of the fact he literally knocked him out as well. It’s even funny that a literal monkey was on par with a radioactive lizard with anyways, they really did Godzilla dirty in this movie
@@gigachad6742 Godzilla- -Overall strength -Durability -AP + DC -Experience -Height + Weight Kong- -Upper body strength -Speed + agility -IQ + Battle IQ -Bite Force -Combat The stats are not far off so like I said don’t be a d rider lil bro
Fun fact The Director states if Godzilla wasn’t weekend from the battle with kong, he would’ve beaten Mechagodzilla, and he would’ve won the atomic clash if he didn’t overuse his atomic breath to go to a hollow Earth and against Kong
Many people disagree with me, but I enjoy the 2014 movie best because its from the human perspective. Not just the story, but the cinematography. The monsters feel bigger and there's added mystery by not seeing all the best angles of every fight seen. It fuels imagination. Cloverfield is similar. The mystery of having rare glimpses at the monster.
The director said they had to nerf Godzilla to the ground this movie for multiple reasons. Godzilla at full strength destroys Kong and mechagodzilla. They confirmed if godzilla hit mechagodzilla with his atomic breath that godzilla would melt. How they nerfed Godzilla was to keep him away for weeks hunting down the location of mechagodzilla. Since godzilla energy is based on his atomic energy moving around uses it up, then he fought kong in the ocean, then blasted a hole to the center of the earth using most of his atomic energy up, then fighting kong again through a whole night, get an axe to the thigh and knocked out for a short time, then he had to fight mechagodzilla on basically empty since he used all of his atomic energy up.
Actually, according to the Novilization, the guy in the chair isn't dead. I think "Possessed" might be a better word. From my understanding, Ren got lost inside of Ghidorah's consciousness.
See, Godzilla was never bad. He knew what Apex was trying to create. That’s why he was attacking cities where Apex was working. Godzilla only got confused with the Kong element. He thought we were gearing Kong to fight him. That’s why he attacked Kong. In the end, the real threat was revealed but after Godzilla defeated Kong, he was too exhausted. Hence he needed Kong to help against Mecha-Godzilla. After the the fight was over they both went their separate ways. Kong protects in the inside & Godzilla protects the outside.
What is astounding about these Godzilla films is how they keep somehow TOPPING THEMSELVES, with each passing movie! Each time, I keep telling myself it's not possible to go any further, but the dudes behind these films keep pushing the envelope, and doing it successfully! lol
There was quite a bit cut from the movie. Like why Serezawa's son wants Godzilla dead. He holds a grudge against him because Godzilla is the reason his father is dead at the hands of the nuke. Also Godzilla was aggro on humanity here because he kept sensing Ghidorah's presence through the tech they used on MechaGodzilla.
Godzilla could've easily defeated MechaGodzilla without any help if he didn't use most of his energy for the tunnel and Godzilla was toying with Kong for the first 2 fights as he just wanted to show who is more dominant. For the third round Godzilla decided to take it serious which is why Kong lost easily. All of this was said by Director of GvK
The director didnt say Godzilla would beat Mecha at full power, stop spreading misinformation. The director said that Godzilla wouldve won the beam struggle, since he used all that energy to dig into Hollow Earth. Regardless Mecha still beats Godzilla as it was made to be a direct counter to him.
The other thing that made a strong connection between Kong and Gia was that she's a native from Skull Island, one of the last ones as they mentioned after they storm, that just made me love their dynamic more! Gia will surely have a bigger role in the next movie
Now that you've seen all that the Monsterverse _currently_ has to offer, I'd love to see your reaction to what Japan's Godzilla films have to offer, specifically Toho's 2016 _Shin Godzilla_ !! Shin is has got to be my favorite Godzilla film ever. It merges a lot of what made the American Monsterverse films good with everything that made the original Japanese movies great! Not to mention the immensely creative story telling, suspense building, stunning visuals, and monster design. It's simultaneously an homage to Godzilla's roots and a brilliant new take on the character.
Fun fact: Because of Godzillas roar having so many Decibels, any human within a 5 mile radius, their body would explode from just the force it produces.
At least we didn't get Kong delivering a back body drop on Godzilla, like in the 1962 movie. Also, I love how Godzilla emerges from the ocean in Kong's face like "Surprise, mothafucka"
fun fact: when Kong hit Godzilla in the leg with his axe and he pulled it out, the wound the axe made was healed by the time he fought Mecha Godzilla (if you looked at where his wound was)
Great reaction you two! I loved this movie. Godzilla was never the enemy. He felt Monster Zero was back via the skull and once again human's being dumb thinking, we can control something beyond our control or comprehension. Godzilla never wanted to fight Kong he was just in way and Kong didn't realize until the end that the real threat was human made machine. Both were needed to overcome our failure as humans for playing with forces beyond on our control. What I did love is the end...Kong protector of the land and Godzilla protector of the water.
Lmao when homie said if someone actually made it down to the hidden world they could live for a long long time that the chick had ZERO idea what heck he was talking about haha the look she gave just screamed that didn’t understand any part of it.
Growing up in the 70's and 80's, I was always so excited when I saw a Godzilla/Monster movie on TV. I love all the Kong and Godzilla movies made since then...even the bad ones, but these latest Monsterverse films have been all I could ever ask for and more. Glad you enjoy them so much, and these have been great reactions.
If ya'll haven't seen it, you guys should react to Enola Holmes. I think that'd be a fun movie to react to. It's also the first time we really see mbb play a character with heaps of personality and charisma on screen. Vastly different from her other characters up until this point. Don't get me wrong I love the more serious stuff too (and she does it well!) but it's nice to see her do something more light hearted and fun.
Ahh did you see the fight on the ocean? Kong hit Godzilla square in the face full force and Godzilla gave Kong the a b*tch slap and Kong fell down like a sack of potatoes. Also where was Kong when MoMonster Zero was rampaging? On his little island chilling while Godzilla got blasted by the Oxygen Destroyer and was on deaths door until he got juiced by a nuke(keep in mind that Kong would've died if the O-Bomb was used on him).
What i just realized is how big that kong containment would have to be, that makes him look small, considering he's the size of a skyscraper.... surely they fucked up the scale for that part. Unless the containment is literally 100 skyscrapers tall.
The largest ship ever built was the Seawise Giant (also known as the Knock Nevis). It measured 458 meters long. A mile is 1609 meters. There have never been, and likely will never be, a ship 1 mile long. You recognize the boy, as he is Julian Dennison and was Firefist (the kid) in DeadPool 2.
Reason why Godzilla attacked Apex: he sensed the mechagodzilla and in Mecha Godzilla is Kevin don’t know who Kevin is? It’s one of the heads of monster zero and Godzilla sensed monster zero as a threat so he came to apex to try to find Kevin and destroy it
During their fight Godzilla was already extremely drained as the director of the film said his atomic breath is like a battery and given him many times he used it including drilling a hole in the earth this means kong never really stood a chance against full power Godzilla and to add to it the director said Godzilla was playing for majority of it which is shocking to me. He also said if Godzilla was fully charged then the fight with mecha Godzilla would have went differently.
Honestly, director's statements that Godzilla was just "playing" with Kong and then immediately saying that Godzilla was totally drained by the time Mecha arrived...that's firm contradiction in my opinion. Either he was drained from fighting Kong (a.k.a. not toying with him) or else, Mecha is more powerful than Godzilla. I more lean towards the first. Like, is it that bad to consider that even Godzilla can be pushed to his limits???
@@theamunra4424 he said up until the explosion but he was drained due to using his atomic breath not fighting kong, you can not try against an opponent while being drained and be completely weak enough to not be able to fight someone else
@@godofdrip4889 Still, his comments make no sense to me because I really feel he's trying everything to make Kong an absolute joke. I don't buy his statements at all that Godzilla was just toying with Kong considering how he got completely overpowered by Mecha in mere seconds, 50% or not, and if Kong was really this much of an absolute joke the director tries to portray him as opposed to Godzilla, he wouldn't be even remotely able to fight Mecha on his own. So no, I'm not buying neither respecting director's statements because I find them contradicting and straight offensive.
The original Godzilla vs Kong, Kong wins which always irritated me as a big Godzilla fan. Glad to say Godzilla being a clear winner against Kong this time around was well deserved
Same here , when I seen that I was like ( how in the hell Kong beaten Godzilla in his own water habitat where he would clearly have a big advantage in beating kong) , the only thing that I can think of is Kong must've concussed Godzilla underwater so that he can get away from him cause he didn't stick around to try to kill Zilla
the woman with the deaf child is the scientist from Ironman 3 the boy that picks up Millie Bobby with the van, is the kid with the firepowers in deadpool 2
Godzilla wasn't the villian in this, it's just that everytime the humans started Mecha-godzilla it send similar signals as of King Ghidorah so Godzilla wanted to track it down and finish it, Kong was in his way and he had to be put in his place
29:38 - In round 3 fight where godzilla defeat Kong and Kong lay down with pain and surrender himself godzilla is the king of monster no one can defeat him even in universe even Kong also that's godzilla power
This fight always made me think in video games stats. Godzilla has high defense, strength, and etc. but he lacked endurance on land. Now mechagodzilla is all of that and more with pretty much unlimited endurance
Also you gotta know that godzilla only lost agaisnt mecha because he was tired from chasing kong and fighting him, his atomic breath got weaker and he was really tired. The director of the movie said that if godzilla wasnt tired from fighting kong his battle agaisnt mecha would be way different, you can notice how exhausted godzilla is by looking at him when they do that "beam clash", godzilla's atomic breath was weaker and looked more like flames instead of the blue beam it used to be and it had way less power than the ones he used when fighting kong or when he made that hole to hollow earth.
@@immanuelmollick Not really, godzilla got completely overwhelmed by ghidorah's strenght and power xD godzilla couldnt fight him at all in artic, and he only managed to damage ghidorah when he caught him on the sea, as for the final battle there he could only keep up because he was super boosted by serizawa's nuke, his atomic breath was super huge and way stronger/hotter, he could move fastar and was way stronger, strong enough for his clash with ghidorah create a huge shockwave.
@@alyssongg8532 I am aware of these 😅😅 just saying that Godzilla didn't get whopped his ass to king Ghidorah like he did by MechaG, he at least put a better fight against Ghidorah.
@@alyssongg8532 Godzilla was boosted but so was Ghidora, one thing people seem to ignore is the volcano scene where Ghidorah regenerates it's head, it can't do that without expending a ton of energy, where do you think Ghidorah got all that energy ? By absorbing the local thermal energy source right beneath him, the volcano, Ghidorah got a second boost in the Boston fight when he completely sucked out the power energy grid of the entire city, so it's not like Godzilla had a massive advantage in energy boost alone. Godzilla was winning most of the Boston fight until that second power up, he also practically won the ocean fight, and the Antarctica fight was a draw because neither was knocked out or killed and Ghidora fled the battle (which technically in fighting means a loss regardless of the reason).
I feel just like she does. I really enjoyed this movie more than others. Especially King of the Monsters now that movie was good and it was strictly fan service with the old Godzilla entrance music and Go Go Godzilla from blue oyster cult. Now I really enjoyed that movie a lot regardless of the human element especially at the end with Godzilla getting the biggest escort in history with the entire military behind him.
Definitely. It was a much needed breath of fresh air, the Lockdown (and we might be going through another) really did a number on the entertainment we had at the time. Thank God for Video games and UA-cam to keep the sanity in check, but yeah, Cabin Fever sucked at the time and it could’ve been a lot worse.
It was obvious that Kong doesn't stand a chance against Godzilla, he could've kill Kong at any given time, long range, short range, Godzilla has millions of years of combat experience, he took part in the great titans war.
Even if godzilla stood still for 5 minutes kong wouldn’t be able to kill him, that’s some huge lizard armor compared to an ape skin which is one of the weakest skin in the kingdom, one big scratch and you start bleeding and lose that muscle
Favorite scene in the movie. They shoot at Kong, Kong grabs them.. Kong: Friend inside? "Checks" Nope...."Crushes it and drops it like it's nothing" Kong had it with her BS
Lmao, team kong switched sides when they saw Godzilla digging a hole to hollow earth, and they didn’t regret it since few moments later Kong gets bodied in the ground and got spared by Godzilla. He even was left to die and was saved by small humans lmao. Good fight Kong, but it was clear from the beginning that Godzilla is superior, Kong is just stubborn.
are u forgetting godzilla almost died to ghidorah? he was saved by humans as well, dont be a d rider, Kong almost won round 2 and knocked godzilla out with the axe. godzilla got dog walked by mecha as well, I like godzilla but the director did him dirty in this movie
@@DoomZzx bro ghidorah and mecha won against Godzilla. So? Kong still lost to Godzilla, what does mecha’s and Ghidorah’s achievements have to do with Kong? The best kong did was make Godzilla lay on his back with an axe, while Godzilla spared him twice like a lil dog. And Mecha was gonna drill Kong’s face with his tail if humans didn’t throw water on the control panel of mecha. + Humans should save Godzilla against Ghidorah since they are the ones who interfered and bombed him while Godzilla was gonna solo him in the water, thinking they would kill both Godzilla and Ghidorah, so that was just redemption from humans. @@DoomZzx nope I ain’t biased I only provide what happened in the monsterverse. 1. Mechagodzilla is designed to perfectly counter Godzilla not Kong. 2. Godzilla fought MechaGodzilla alone while Kong had the comfort to get juiced up and the comfort of Godzilla’s presence. Kong never fought Mecha 1v1. 3. Kong took Mecha by surprise, and making the mecha fall isn’t a sign lf strength, it’s a sign of swiftness which is linked with agility, Kong’s only feat. 4. Kong’s hits did 0 damage to the mecha at all, once he became 1v1 with mecha he was gonna die drilled, thanks human for saving him again. 5. Godzilaa tanked more hits from mecha and lasted way longer than Kong in a 1v1 with the mecha. 6. Without Godzilla’s power and human’s watering Mecha’s control panel, Kong would have died and Mecha would have killed both of them. Again you made 0 point and I am sure you will use another monster’s achievement because Kong achieved nothing.
That's not the end of the MonsterVerse. We got a new one, Godzilla/Kong: The New Empire coming out in theaters in March. So, don't worry, Shoshanna. Kong will be back for you next year. 😂
My counter to those who thought Kong would win: Look at King Ghidorah, and tell me how in the hell can Kong either beat that, or do better than Godzilla?
Godzilla also got help tho. Be it in nuclear power from humans or from Mothra. However, these beings are not equal. They're different with different techniques. Like Stand Powers from Jojo. I remember in Vinland Saga Thorkell said to someone who doesn't fight that just because A defeats B and C defeats A, does not mean that C will defeat B. It's not exactly about strength. I think it's about how good your writing is in these movies.
@@kalakritistudios To that point about Godzilla getting help it's essentially nullified by the fact that Godzilla got weakened by those same people, if not for the oxygen destroyer wouldn't you think Godzilla would have won ? If not for the oxygen destroyer Godzilla wouldn't need to nuclear power up at all to continue fighting Ghidorah, the proof is the fact that Godzilla already fought Ghidorah before in the past which is why Ghidorah was trapped in the ice in the first place. Either way Ghidorah also had a boost in that movie, when he was sitting on the volcano he absorbed the thermal energy from it, and when he absorbed the energy from the power grid in Boston.
@@raionshishi8290 Yeah, but did he kill Gidorah in the thousands of years before? I also love Gidorah's tactic where he just grabs Godzilla and flies up and drops him on the ground.

When l was young l watched the 1933 film and at that point he became my favorite kaiju. Maybe because Kong feels more human or they do a better job at humanizing him l connect with him more
As someone who grew up in Pensacola, the opening sequence with Godzilla was a real blast for me. On the one hand, it was cool to see my hometown honored with inclusion in this awesome franchise. On the other hand... none of that was Pensacola LOL. It looks nothing like that, and it's obvious that they filmed it somewhere else and just called it Pensacola. They got the vast system of secret underground tunnels right, though. ;)
Well Mecha Godzilla wasn't on Auto pilot, they were using King Ghidorah brain waves to control it but when they got a stable power supply to fully power it that's when king Ghidorah fully took over so it was pretty much a rematch when he saw Godzilla again.
Deadpool 2 Godzilla is actually the hero in this movie too Fun Fact: This is not the first time Godzilla and Kong squared off. The original time was 1962's King Kong vs. Godzilla. Which was a direct sequel to King Kong (1933), Son of Kong (1933), Godzilla (1954) and Godzilla Raids Again (1955).

I remember sitting in the theater and when mechagodzilla was about to show up everyone was buzzing. And finally on the reveal of ghidorah taking over! Man the whole theater went crazy
Godzilla wasn't bad, he was sensing Ghidorah

You've seen Godzilla King of monsters movie right , he was trying to protect Earth from getting destroyed by Monster zero, but what Kong does is he was chilling in his cute little island,
Even in this movie Godzilla was after the mecha Godzilla but what Kong did he just messed up the natural order by coming out of his island and fighting with Godzilla for unnecessary reason, he (Kong) may be intelligent but not in a long shot as Godzilla
Yup also when Mecha Godzilla sees Godzilla he has his own mechanical laugh before charging at him
I love that the second Ghidorah is resurrected as Mechagodzilla, he immediately tries to get revenge on Godzilla for killing him
And he also wanted to revenge on Kong 🦍, because he didn't obeyed him when he did his Alpha roar in Isla de Mara
The longest military ship is the USS Gerald R Ford at 1,100ft. A mile is 5,280ft. 12:28
I was wondering where he got the mile long stat from. I thought did I miss something in the movie when I watched it years ago? No I don't think so!
The Artic site is actually where King Ghidorah was trapped in the last movie. Given how close he was to a Hollow Earth wormhole, there's a good chance he was looking for something when Godzilla stopped him.
Whoa, I did not even catch that!
actually the site was in the Antarctica.
No he said the fight would be different. Also the novel said even if Godzilla was not tired he still would've lost
25:39 I like how Kong looks in the ship before crushing it and tossing it away. He was making sure his family wasn’t in the ship. 32:52 I love how he does the “Martin Riggs” treatment for dislocated shoulders.
I don’t know if you noticed, but Kong before he killed the girl and the guy inside that ship he checked to see if the little girl was in the ship first
I noticed. ^^
fun fact: the director said that godzilla probably would have defeated mechagodzilla alone if he was at full strength because he was only at 50%. just before he blasted a hole through the earth and also fought kong so he was fatigued
Thats a dead excuse
Kong literally woke up from the dead and gave a decent fight against Mecha G
REAL FACT: The director DIDNT say that and actually said the battle would’ve turned out differently if Godzilla was a full power. Differently doesn’t mean Win or lose. It could mean Godzilla could’ve held his own better without MechaGodzilla wiping the floor with him.
Easily the best Monsterverse film out of all. This was phenomenal in the theatres and saved Cinemas.

Yeah but after he hit by the axe, Godzilla had completely had enough and absolutely went full crocodilian on Kong.
@@chriscage669 I mean Godzilla always had enough energy to beat kong he was just playing until the explosion.
This fight always made me think in video games stats. Godzilla has high defense, strength, and etc. but he lacked endurance on land. Now mechagodzilla is all of that and more with pretty much unlimited endurance
Godzilla has by far the most endurance of any titan in that universe tho, even compared to Mecha.
Yup, Godzilla at least did much better against King Ghidorah than this, despite King Ghidorah being much more stronger than base Godzilla.

While l do admit overall Godzilla is stronger and his atomic blast makes him op, I've always liked Kong more as far as the character and all his movies too. When l was young l watched the 1933 film and at that point he became my favorite kaiju. Maybe because Kong feels more human or they do a better job at humanizing him l connect with him more
My favorite part of these reactions is when Vince yells "BITCH!" whenever an opp hold a rudeeee one from the protagonists LOL love yalls energy! 💕
They got the vast system of secret underground tunnels right, though. ;)
Hey I have something for you 🎉
the scene was mostly in the apex facility, so the city didn’t show up much anyway
@@jacobsonstudiosgoji Except when Godzilla was stomping it lol
youve probably seen the kid from Deadpool 2, "firefist"
ready player one's version looks better imo. 😁
That one looks like a updated og version the og mechaG in the 70s was similar to RPO mechaG lol 😂 it's vice versa but u get my point
Well Mecha Godzilla wasn't on Auto pilot, they were using King Ghidorah brain waves to control it but when they got a stable power supply to fully power it that's when king Ghidorah fully took over so it was pretty much a rematch when he saw Godzilla again.
And Godzilla was tired otherwise he would have destroyed mecha g.
Deadpool 2
Godzilla is actually the hero in this movie too
Fun Fact: This is not the first time Godzilla and Kong squared off. The original time was 1962's King Kong vs. Godzilla. Which was a direct sequel to King Kong (1933), Son of Kong (1933), Godzilla (1954) and Godzilla Raids Again (1955).
