I tried your previous video .. I did my roots first then l did the ends.. and to be honest with you it was the best hair blow dry I’ve ever had in my entire life.. thank you so much ❤
Yay!!!! That makes me so happy !! ❤❤
After the blow dry, get a dryer sheet and do a pass through on your hair to remove frizz and sit the hair nicely.
That would have my head hurting for the rest of the day and any day after until I washed my hair.
Men could never lol.... looks gorgeous! Thanks for the product info!
Can’t help to watch over and over again this video. Thanks for sharing!!! You should do another one 😂.
Thank you !! I will 👌🏽😘
So stop teasing us and just open up the shop, so you can do it for us 😂 You are beautiful inside and out, thank you so much for teaching and sharing with us 💕🙌🏾🥹
😂😂 love you
Gorgeous, I love your color!!!!!
Thank you !
I just found your channel and absolutely love it! Can you do a video on how to make fine hair fuller or thicker and give some shampoo & conditioner recommendations please. Your hair is so full & healthy looking!
Thank you so much !! ❤ I’ll do a video for sure on what I do for my hair , it was not always this healthy lol
I can't wait to try this technique! Thank you! ✨
Your techniquec is amazing
Thank you !!
Hi Kayla, can you post your hair care routine and share your favorite hair masks
Sure !!
Ohhhh ur a pro!!!!! Beautiful! I’m trying to get better with round brush but i don’t think it’s my ministry.
Why I bought the brush and thought I could do this is crazy. This technique is for professional hairstylists. I’m struggling with the paddle brush. I’ve got some returning to do.😅
So I stuck with it. Bought a mannequin and practiced. Then tried my hair. It looks great for my first time. It’s exhausting. I had to take breaks. 😅
Still love it from last video! ❤ from my experience, I have also learned my own way to do it because everyone has different hair styles and my hair is thinner and fragile (long hair too) but it work faster than I expected! Thank you for your video! 🥰
Thank you ! So happy you found it helpful :)
Thanks for yet another helpful video. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!! 👌❤️😍
You’re so welcome !!!
Looks so good! I’ve been thinking about getting the Revlon one step but maybe I’ll try this instead
I have that one . It’s good for re-styling but I don’t like it for when my hair is wet to dry, I don’t get enough tension without ripping all my hair out 😅
I love the newer T3 airebrush it's life changing ❤
So glad I came across this video. Your hair turned out gorgeous! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks you !!!
Hi Kayla! Thanks very much for your video. I’ve been trying for a long time to leave the flat iron. And even though I used to do myself a very good blower I forgot how to do it right!!! You just remember me the right way! Thanks! Last but not least how do you keep your hair to last a week, I mean do you do a retouch every day? Do you wear something to sleep and keep it straight? Please let me know! 😊❤
Hey! Yay I’m so happy you found it helpful. Yes! I wear a silk bonnet at night . I have the ones I use linked on my Amazon storefront 😘😘 it’s the only way my hair stays nice overnight lol
Like a big sis Ty so much
Could you please 🙏🏽 do a blowout video using the Dyson Airwrap please 🙏🏽
Thanks so much for the video, I am trying to not flat iron my hair for the remainder of the year, so this helps. My blow out turned out really good, drying the roots first is key. I was trying to get the TGI Catwalk,(I bought it on Amazon a few years ago for 20.00), but it has went up in price. and it is probably discontinued. I use the Lotta Body blow out lotion, but I will give the Moroccan blowout a try.
Hi, Kayla I really like your video and I love the results that you got with your hair. I wanted to ask a few questions, is there a reason why you don’t use a vented round brush and which is better for curly hair? How do you feel about the t3 hair dryer or other ionic dryers for this hair style? Should I purchase a ceramic dryer for this style? Or should I get an Elchim? Thanks, again love your video I hope you would be able to make more of these ❤️
Elchim for suuuure. I don’t like ionic blow dryers when trying to change hair texture (curly to straight) the ionic technology dries the hair too fast , before you can smooth it properly. I use a non vented brush for the same reason. You get more tension and can stretch the hair much faster than with a vented brush ❤️
Beautiful!!🌸💛🌸
This color omgg 😍😍 please do a video!!!
This one is a salon Color on top of a super bright copper i had. It’s a level 6 auburn medium brown
Wow, love your hair, the brush you used is very expensive, can you please tell me how ling you've had it, & do you have others, I'm thinking of splurging! Ty so much for your time lovely lady.
I’ve had mine for 7 years ! And it’s the only one I use , I’ll be replacing it soon xo definitely worth the money they are very well made
TY so much.
FINALLY! My hair is uncontrollable….this will help me a lot….hopefully
Have you used the Revair? I would be curious to know your thoughts on it.
loved your video! how long does your hair usually lasts before it returns back to being curly?
Until I wash it ! I usually go about a week 🫶🏽
Great video ❤
In your last video, you used a Redkin product while your hair was still wet. Do you no longer use it? Love this video! Your hair is gorgeous.
Not really ! I find it good for making the hair soft once fry but hard to smooth while blow drying . My hair is also healthier now so I don’t need it ! Xo
I would like to know if the power and quality of the dryer influences the final result of hair drying?
I really liked the video, hugs to you
Absolutely!! I tried using my mom’s blow dryer once and it was awful lol you really need the high heat and power to quickly change the hair texture without damaging . Otherwise it looks frizzy and you end up having to go over it way too many times 🩷
I love it! Where can I found THAT brush? Have not being able to find it😅
It’s the spike 38 from Evoo website it’s an Australian company
The link for the brush provides about 10 options. Please advise which one you use. Thanks!
Hi there . It’s the spike 38 - they’ve since changed the design a bit but that’s the one !
I’m going to try this because everything I’ve tried so far was a disaster. My hair is not as curly as yours but it’s thick and when I’m sectioning I can easily do as much as 20 sections, otherwise they’d be too large. But so many sections are hard to handle and I always end up in a chaos. My other problem is that my hair gets stuck into the brush and I feel like I’m just ripping it out :/
Ugh, I wish I had more talent to do this. And less hair lol.
What do you think of using Hot-air hair brushes
I have the reckon one and with the amount of tension I need to get my hair smooth I found it was damaging my hair, like ripped out so much of my hair. Even still , I can’t get it as smooth as I can with a bore bristle brush
What hair color(s) do you have? It's so flattering
Hi Kayla! Thank you for the video! What size brush did you purchase from evo?
Spike 38!! ❤️❤️ thank you for watching !!
@@misskaylasimone thank you 🙏🏽 💕
It's disappointing that the Tigi Catwalk serum was discontinued. I checked the Tigi website and found two products that might be similar. One is called 'Straighten Out Anti-Frizz Serum' and the other is 'Control Freak Frizz Control and Straightener.' Do you think either of these could be the same product, just renamed and repackaged? Have you tried them before? Would you consider testing them in a future video to see if they have the same effect? That would be really helpful, thank you! xx
I don’t like control freak, it’s too much like a gel . I use Moroccan oil blow dry serum and find it works just as good as Tigi 🩷
How do you protect your hair from humidity? My hair wants to revert so quickly at the slightest hint of moisture
Love your video, what are your using for a heat protection ?
The serum I use the blow dry is also a heat protectant . I’m using the Moroccan oil blow dry serum
@@misskaylasimoneI love the Moroccan Oil Hydration Deep Conditioner. Will look this serum up.
Ugh! I wish I had the patience to do this!! I really need to stop flat ironing my hair since I bleach the hell out of it, but I know it's just ruining and damaging it. I'm going to try this out and start my hair care journey even if I struggle at first. Any aftercare products you recommend for low porosity hair? I'm currently using K-18, and Olaplex shampoo 1x a week.Thank you so much!!
Hey!! I think those products are amazing !! I used olaplex shampoo and conditioner 1x a week and mask every 2 weeks while trying to get it healthy again , right after I cut it into a bob . Now only use them once a month and a moisturizing shampoo conditioner and mask instead of ones with proteins. My favorite is OI from davines , it’s expensive but absolutely amazing
@@misskaylasimone Just did your technique today and bought everything and im impressed with myself!! My roots aren't perfectly straight but I guess more practice! thank you so much!!
Do you have next day video for the week to show how to keep it looking nice for the week? What if you go to the gym and sweat a bit?
I’ll do a video on this! I wear a bonnet at night and wrap my hair for workouts. The key is to make sure the hair is fully dry again before unwrapping , then I’ll go over the roots if I have to with the blow dryer ! Xo
Do you use heat or cool for the blow dryer? I just wanted to know to see if I do mine correct
Thank you
:)
High heat ❤️
You are beautiful
Thank you so much 🫶🏽
How often do you use Olaplex? Do you use Olaplex bond oil #7? How does it compare to the oil you used in this video?
I love both . The olaplex oil I only put on my ends and a very small amount . The oi oil I put everywhere. In the beginning I was using olaplex 1xweek now 1x - month .
هذا رائع لقد أحببته كثيراً
Thank you !!
Can I do this technique and use this brush with a high speed high velocity blow dryer?
Yep. But I find if the blow dryer is ionic it dries the hair too fast , before the texture can change and it ends up more frizzy than smooth 🤍
@@misskaylasimoneYep. Drys to fast and a complete fail. 😢
@@misskaylasimoneThank you. I am having much better results after practice on a mannequin and using a non high speed blow dryer. ❤
Hello, what's your blush and lipstick please?
Hi! Thanks for the video! Do you get any keratin/relaxing treatments?
Hi! No, I used to when I was younger but that ended in me shaving my head and starting over 😅 I use olaplex treatment pretty often though !
Hello girl, I have just ordered all the products and tools you used in your previous blow out video, however, I am a bit lost, what is the different between blowing out and actually using my straightener, aren't both creating heat damage anyways?
The idea is to skip the double process of drying the hair then using a flat iron . With this technique you get the hair just as straight but without the flat iron.
Hi sorry to bother I went to the product shop but it didn’t take me to exact brush? Would you be able to please advise what brush number this is on evo? ❤
It’s the spike 38! so annoying every month or so I have to re-enter the link or it goes back to just the main page , sorry! Thanks for letting me know xo
@@misskaylasimone ur a doll thank you so much for answering! ❤️👏
Hello Kayla. I have kinky curly hair. When I do a press, it doesn't last. It always frizzes up. Especially in the crown area or the top layers of my hair. Even when the weather is nice out. All I have to do is go outside and my style is ruined. Any tips on what I can do?? Appreciate your feedback.
It’s probably not completely dry yet before moving on to the next sections . Use smaller sections and take your time . Mine will do the same if I don’t dry each section completely
Gorgeous! Now how long did it take you to blow dry your hair? In this video and the other one , too? How long?😊
About 30-40 min !
But with my long hair I had an undercut which is grown out now . So the back was shaved , that’s why it still didn’t take me as long . Without the undercut and with my long hair it took about 50 min
@@misskaylasimone oh ok thanks 🙏
@@misskaylasimone Gosh! My hand was already aching just watching you blow dry your hair just because my hair, or what’s left of it, is kind of like yours and it takes me a really long , long🙄 time to blow dry and I do it all wrong🙄 But under the hair dryer and rollers it takes me about 1-2 hours long to my hair dry and with lots of curlers. Now , can you make a video on how to do curlers on your hair , under the dryer or without so that we , your fans, can see how you do it?😊😊😊
Hi Kayla, first of all thank you for your tips and tricks. I am interested to know what your thoughts are on the mask of the Oi product line. I see you use the oil but for the masking the Monat line. I would really appreciate your advice. Since living in the Netherlands the only time my hair has sheen is after relaxing it. In between it is very dry and brittle. Looking forward to your response
The oi line is AMAZING . We had it on salon and for years it’s all I used , the shampoo, conditioner and mask are amazing. I’m only trying the monat because I’m curious , the oi is absolutely fantastic for dry hair
@@misskaylasimone
Thank you for your prompt informative response ❣️
Hello, what temperature do you set your dryer? thank you!!
High heat high speed ❤️
Have you tried any of the other Elchim hairdryers? I'm wondering if it will dry curly hair the same way as your Elchim Classic?
I haven’t ! Just the classic . My only advice is to stay away from ionic , they fry the hair too fast before being able to stretch it properly in my experience
@misskaylasimone Thank you, this explains a lot. Unfortunately, my hair can tell you that all blow dryers are not created equal. I've learned by owning over 70 (yeah, it's that serious) in all price ranges , that my hair can look like I came straight of the salon or like I put my finger in the electric socket by just using a different blow dryer. This is frustrating because I can't chance what a hotel room may have when traveling. I've also learned a high price does not necessarily mean it will dry my hair without it poofing up or damaging it. I would love to see a comparison video of ones you would recommend and show how using the right dryer and heat setting can change the outcome as it looks like we have similar hair texture. It would also be great if you could show a light weight option for older women or for those of us who just don't workout with thick ,long. or coarse hair but can't be seen with hair that hasn't been dried properly. Best wishes!
Would the same routine work on dried hair?
Hi Kayla, thank you for your great and helpful videos. I stumbled across it accidentally a few days ago. I’ve purchased some of your product and the blow dryer in one of your other videos I think it’s Elchim or something like that. Can you tell me the setting you use because it’s extremely hot which concerned me that it might damage my hair.
Also could you do a video on how to get the end smooth? I cannot get my ends to look good seem all the split ends show and the curl does not show in the end it’s just dead straight even though I am rind brushing the ends. I must be doing something wrong. I have long hair slightly longer than one of your first images you showed in this video. Just a very short video would be great.
Thank you again xxx
Hey! If you’re concerned about the heat then use the low heat setting . I have another blow dry video with my long hair- you can see how I roll the ends . Of your ends have split ends, no matter what technique you use, they won’t be smooth you need a haircut . You’re not doing anything wrong I think you just need a good haircut - also if your brush has holes in it , it won’t be as smoothing - mine is bore bristle with no holes for optimal smoothing xo
Hi Kayla, thank you so much for taking the time to respond to my question. I thankfully get my ends cut often and when I tried your video it was just cut. My hairdresser can always get the ends perfect but I must say I do struggle. It just does not look good when I do it. It’s not too bad if I set it first and then blow dry it but I was hoping to save time. I do have only bore bristle brushes which I use, I bought them a while back and yes they are good. Once again thank you so much for your response, I will try to find your long hair video. Take care. Xx
No worries! Ok it would like you just need to roll the ends more. What I do to set the ends is roll with heat continuously then roll the ends and leave it for 30 sec without heat and release. That sets the ends pretty well to be more smooth and bouncy xox good luck!
What does the cold air help with ??
It sets the hair !
Is the wooden brush better?
If you have curly hair you’re trying to straighten then yes absolutely . It’s amaZing for smoothing.
@@misskaylasimone thank you 🙏🏽
Is this result possible with cool blow drying hai??
Like blow drying with cold air ? No, you need the heat to evaporate the water from the hair rapidly (steam) to change the hair texture.
Kayla Why did you cut your hair? You look so much better with long hair. I feel the same way about my hair too. :(
I loved my long hair but it was fried and breaking off . Long hair ain’t cute if it’s not healthy ! …and I don’t think it looks that bad on me 😅
@@misskaylasimone Sorry to hear that... But I am pretty sure you missed it like me. And even though you now have short hair you still look amazing.
@@lisetpen3154 I was talking to Kayla
You're hair was tired of the abuse. I hope you dont assault your hair like that anymore. Its too beautiful to be beat on. 😂
This is beautiful. Is that the evo Bruce natural bristle 28 or 38 mm brush? @misskaylasimone
It’s the spike 38!! It’s 10 years old so I think the bristles are now black instead of white - it’s bore and silicone
I love your videos. I'll let you know if it works for me. I have greying hair now so it's difficult to deal with.
Yes please let me know how it goes ! And thank you so much !
Do you have any 4c friends or family that you could do a video showing this technique as well? 🫶🏽
Omg yes I need to do this . On 4C it will last longer with a flat iron overtop but quick one pass
