This was so helpful! Seeing a professional dry their own hair was great. Usually they demonstrate on another person, which is so different from doing your own hair. This is much more realistic.

I have curly hair and honestly have grown afraid to blow it out after listening to all the “curly rules”. But I recently blew it out with instant recovery and blow out milk and it was so freeing to see that it was fine. I really enjoyed changing it up and know that I am protecting my hair with your products.

So I’m only at 4:42 but it’s so nice to hear tips on thick course hair;most people in my family have thinner, wavy hair and they never seemed to know how to get my hair sleek. Always giving the wrong advice when they’re watching me straighten my hair. It took me years to figure out how to straighten my hair but so far literally everything that I cannot go without, has been touched up on by this stylist, who doesn’t have anything close to my hair type. Really makes you feel seen when people know their stuff, even when it doesn’t pertain directly to their own needs.
The only thing about my hair type is that I won’t try and get every kink out when blow-drying because the flat iron is what is going to really sleek the look and if I did worry about every hair being completely smooth, I’d be there all day burning my hair & melting the brush (it’s happened).
Anyway I’m straightening my hair today after 3 years no heat. Lol

I use a square brush. It's one of those brushes...ceramic? Anyway, it's "prickly" and it has square edges. Now, my hair is down to my waist uh...so I just take sections and lay it over the "hump" like you said but since mine's square it bumps it up but makes it 100% straight. I'm not trying for that though. What I'm seeking to achieve is bounce NOT volume. so if you could help with that, that would be amazing. XO

I have permed hair that I don't usually use any heat on. As long as I am using a heat protectant, is it okay to try this?

Well, yes and no. Depending on your hair type you may lose some degree of curls once you straighten. You should also wait a month or two after your perm to straighten.

I have 2a-2b hair and my hair strands themselves aren't too course, but I have a lot of hair so styling my hair is difficult cuz it takes foreverrr

Out of curiosity, how long would the video be- hypothetically speaking- of JVN loving himself? 3 minutes? 30 minutes? Hair poses couldn't be more than 1 minute, outfit poses 2 minutes.... skin care, 2 minutes.... 5 minutes max?
