Next video suggestion: Those of us women who serve in the military, law enforcement etc. know how damaging the constant tight buns, braids and ponytails are to our hair and scalp. Perhaps you can look into this. How much damage are we really doing and do you have any suggestions for us on how to protect our heads while we do our job? :) Thanks from a military veteran of 14 years turned police officer. :) Stay safe everyone.
Unfortunately, I think the only way that would fully protect your hair would be to cut it pretty short. otherwise, just change where you put your bun/ponytail, so it's not in the same place every day. Thank you for your service:)
Brad: “now you use your round brush” me: starts breathing heavier because I have PTSD from when I tried to curl my hair with a round brush when I was 8. I spent 3 hours taking my hair out
Same but I was 16, on vacation with my friend, and it was my friend’s grandma’s hairbrush. I locked myself in the bathroom for about an hour and cried trying to get it out. I eventually let my friend in and it took us 3 hours to take out and I had a chunk of shorter hair for years because of it.
fun round brush story: after bleaching my hair, I was brushing it out and I couldn’t find my normal brush so I used a round brush and it was very tangled and I started halfway but it got stuck. I ended up sleeping with the brush tangled in my hair because I was tired and after waking up, a mixture of straight up olive oil and straight up force with a fork to pry the hair from the brush was used so yeah lesson learned.

It disappoints me to and to be honest it upsets me that I’ve started thinking I’ve lost the capability to do this 😭😭 which is why my workers and manager don’t allow me to blow dry clients just yet 😭😭
@@medinabajramovic2837 Keep going! Don't get discouraged - you're allowed to lose skills if it's been a long time since you did a blowdry, but you'll build back up again! I literally just learned so much in the first 12 minutes of this video then I have in the past years trying to achieve a bouncy blow out. I need your products and I cant wait to practice blow drying my hair again!!!
Brad, thank you for an informative 101 on blowing hair. When I was in my teens, I used to blow dry my sisters hair and it was quite therapeutic for me, per say. But recently I started assisting a friend of mine who had a slight accident and u jumped in to assist in blow-drying her clients hair. Well she was astonished at my know how in blow drying and hand coordination. I wanted to give you kudos on a great video that will certainly reach those who enjoy hairstyling.

I literally started watching your videos 2 months ago, and since then my hair routine has changed drastically and it is so healthy!!! Thank you, Brad!!!!
wigconic it’s really not all that hard, I’ve cut my own hair since I was a junior in high school. I’ve cut my own bangs, layers, and just normal trims. I’ve also dyed my hair myself since I was in 7th grade lmao. I think brad is amazing but I giggle a bit when he says “PLEASE GO TO A HAIR DRESSER!!” 🤣 idk, i might just have a special touch with hair, because I’ve never messed up. Buuuut I do understand how some people can mess up, if you don’t have the right technique, it can be really complicated, but he has videos teaching on how to cut your own hair in quarantine ! xx
This works! I tried this method- he’s right, you can do it all and have bouncy, shiny, smooth, silky hair with this method. No, you don’t need to be able to see the back of your head, at least, not for the “voluminous” version (which I think Brad is pronouncing wrong, but he knows how to do it, and that is what matters). The best trick is his advice to smooth all the hair at the hairline up and back- wow, game changer! I am a new fan.
yeah that happens why you use those brushes in tangled hair, your hair has to be completely untangled to use those damn brushes i've had a similar thing happen to me before shshsh
I also got one stuck in my hair when I was little. It had the beads on the ends of the bristles. I think what made it stuck was I wrapped my hair too many times around it.
And blow ye winds and blow and a rowing I will go I'll stay no more on this old shore and hear that fiddler play 🎶 (Sorry I couldn't keep myself from doing that lol✌)
Brad has been living with me since I found him not physically but emotionally and definitely learning some hair tricks and I’ve always gone to a high end salon. I avoid using store products but I’m learning stuff that they weren’t teaching me it always looked great when they did it and I come home it would get frizzy. I do have natural curl but I don’t like it. I wasn’t doing it correctly and I wasn’t using the right product. So I bought your products to help me. You teach very well. I forgot about my round brushing. I was holding it wrong I used to do it totally perfectly but I got older and forgot how to do it right. Thank you again for the tutorial and showing me what I forgot to do! 💋
Putting aside the fact that he's using a hundred products and things more than just the blowdryer, I would like to see him doing it on himself, with a wig. It seems easy doing it to a maniquin, but to oneself is harder and much more tiresome for the arms.
I know right? All I've done if I ever did blowdry was a nozzle-less hairdryer and flipping my hair upside down and just shaking the dryer vigorously back and forth to prevent overheating of the hair. Then I flip my hair back up and brush it out a bit. It's usually very poofy and settles down as it cools which my hair looses almost all the volume it gained. Although, I can count on my 2 hands the number of times I blowdried my hair. My normal routine is to squeeze as much water out with a towel and then let it air dry completely before I comb and brush it out.
Thanks for this tutorial! I have been drying my hair wrong this whole time. All my stylists turn me away from the mirror so I can’t see the products they use, the amount used or the technique. My hair looks nice when I leave the salon until I attempt it on my own. Can’t wait to practice these techniques and hopefully master them. I do use my nozzle though!! 🤣 Thanks for sharing!
Watching this video in bed next to my husband and he heard “let’s get blowing” he looked so excited.... Awww bless him.. I burst that bubble quickly. At least I know how to look great when he does get lucky....
I used to have a hairdresser that could straighten my 3b curls with only a blow drier (plus the nozzle and brush and products). It would be pin straight and she never touched it with a straightening iron. She was a goddess. And she had the audacity to move across the country without my permission! Rude.
I am telling myself right now: learn one thing and do it, then add another and so on. This is too overwhelming for me, but is ALL good info. I will be watching this like a dozen or more times.
Has anyone else seen this lady on tik tok who SWEARS that just using a blow dryer will give you silky straight hair?? I saw her and I thought it was rly weird i think it’d be cool to see brad react to her cause her methods are literally just blow dry everything but I can’t for the life of me remember her @ imma go find it Edit: ok just found it it’s @askauntiek and she says that you can detangle and straighten wet hair w out a brush using only a blow dryer um Brad can u verify
It does! A lot of my friends with curly hair use blow dryers to straighten out their curls before going in with a straightener to get it smooth and silky.
Lol, I have often wished that I could put my head on a stick and work on my hair. My arms get tired, and when I look in the mirror I become dyslexic. Love you Mr. Man!

I used to work at a salon and a lot of the stylists used Parlux and Diva branded blow dryers. I think both are great, Diva I found was very powerful but heavier than Parlux. Parlux was also powerful, much lighter but a bit more expensive. Personally I would recommend Parlux :)

I am so grateful my hair looks its best when it dries naturally. I put the front up with a clip on the top of my head, when it's dry, it looks great! There is no way I could put this much time or product in my hair; you have to have a lot of patience, which I do not. As always, nice show, Brad!
You are lucky! most of us that do have to blow dry is because it looks like we stuck our finger in an electric outlet if we don't. We often just find shortcuts for the blow dry. I wish my hair looked nice dried naturally.!

yeah that happens why you use those brushes in tangled hair, your hair has to be completely untangled to use those damn brushes i've had a similar thing happen to me before shshsh
This is the incident which gave me my first unwanted bangs. I had to cut the brush out of my locks.
I also got one stuck in my hair when I was little. It had the beads on the ends of the bristles. I think what made it stuck was I wrapped my hair too many times around it.
I thought that happens to all of us 😂 my brothers used to tie my hair into knots
Haha the wide tooth combs give me anxiety because I got one stuck in my hair about 1 month ago and had to cut 5 inches of my hair off
Am i the only one on UA-cam that doesn’t like where they put the comment section?

omg WHEN did he say that??? I can’t find it help me
Brad has been living with me since I found him not physically but emotionally and definitely learning some hair tricks and I’ve always gone to a high end salon. 💋
This is literally the best hair tutorial I’ve ever watched. I gotta get my hair game together!
Me: Ugh why does she have better hair then me?
Also me: Oh wait. She's literally Brad Mondo's daughter
I was like he has a daughter then skipped over to find out that it’s just a mannequin

Brad: you can do anything with a blow dryer
Me: **not even owning a concentration nozzle**
Brad: 😑
Me: *doesn't even own a blowdryer*
I do. And a diffuser. It came with my 15 euro blowdryer I bought when i was 10!
Dutchik good for u because we definitely give a damn
I love you, Brad Mondo! You have helped me out so much with all your videos. I hope you know what a special treasure your are to this world!❤
"use a nozzle"
my mom: "that weird thing is useless"
my mom: throws away nozzle
me after watching brad mondo for some time now: am i a joke to you ?
Same 😂 I can’t find the nozzle for my blow dryer no more. 😪
same...
Same 😂😭😭
HOW DID THIS GET SO MANY LIKES OH MY GOD
Good thing I found the nozzle in the box 😅😅
Putting aside the fact that he's using a hundred products and things more than just the blowdryer, I would like to see him doing it on himself, with a wig. It seems easy doing it to a maniquin, but to oneself is harder and much more tiresome for the arms.
Yes! I always think that about his hair tutorials. If only I could detach my head to do my hair... 😞
My hair is down to my waist, imagine trying to blow dry it upwards, never donwards
Inetuke26 my hair reaches my butt so I feel your struggle
he’s just showcasing his products lol
My wig barely stays on to brush it let alone blow dry it 😂😂 Also pros use products to keep your hair healthy. It's our job lol
Does anyone elses arms just really really ache after trying to actually blow dry your hair properly so then you just give up....
Ok just meh
Yes I always give up before I'm done.
My hair is so long it reaches my butt so it takes a really long time to do that. So yeah I give up fast
Lol saameee 😔✌

You also need at least half of my styling products.
I lost my nossel 😣
Brad out here boosting EVERYONE'S confidence with his intro.
I used to have a hairdresser that could straighten my 3b curls with only a blow drier (plus the nozzle and brush and products). It would be pin straight and she never touched it with a straightening iron. She was a goddess. And she had the audacity to move across the country without my permission! Rude.
This should be called "How to Blowout someone else's hair" unless you take your head out so you can do it like he does🤣
😂😂
I am just realizing how convenient it would be if we could do that 😳
Can you imaging how many times this man has said the word “hair” in his lifetime???
How many times he said blowing. L0l
I can almost feel how he waited his whole life to have an excuse to say 'let's get blowing' on a video.
😂
@EastEndery ?
When he says he will come through that screen and it will not be cute...😂💗 I kinda want to do it! I wanna see Brad today!😂😂😂

Has anyone else seen this lady on tik tok who SWEARS that just using a blow dryer will give you silky straight hair?? I saw her and I thought it was rly weird i think it’d be cool to see brad react to her
cause her methods are literally just blow dry everything but I can’t for the life of me remember her @ imma go find it
Edit: ok just found it it’s @askauntiek and she says that you can detangle and straighten wet hair w out a brush using only a blow dryer um Brad can u verify
I actually tried it... Worked for me!!
It does! A lot of my friends with curly hair use blow dryers to straighten out their curls before going in with a straightener to get it smooth and silky.
Sounds to me like that woman is actually Satan.
I mean could work but without a brush???
I'm a hairstylist I work at drybar and I do that with most hair
Getting that hairline smooth is such a game changing tip 🙏 thanks!

I used to work at a salon and a lot of the stylists used Parlux and Diva branded blow dryers. I think both are great, Diva I found was very powerful but heavier than Parlux. Parlux was also powerful, much lighter but a bit more expensive. Personally I would recommend Parlux :)

Yeah u need nozzle ! My gf who has very frizzy hair that is not curly but frizzy . Aft I used the same technique (nozzle , tilted angle 📐 Brad mentioned , ) sleek sleek sleek ‘ if u use no nozzle the hair is frizzy . Time n time again ! I get shiny silky hair I dream 🛌for cuz I grew up with frizzy hair (most Asian don’t have frizzy ) , I bought same round brush , taught my GF to do it . My friend came to me Shocked 😮 telling me she had never felt hair so sleek n smooth . “It’s 3rd day now !!’ Still smooth ! I use to
Have to wash my hair daily ! “
That was the advice when I went to Salon 💇🏼♀️ in Toronto ! I wish someone taught me when I was teen ! I am
Shocked most ppl would
Never know how to blow dry ! The fact is that most ppl wont know .
Anyone else need Brad to start saying "voluminous" correctly?? Every time he says "volume-us" it hurts my soul
YES.
Omg I CRINGE every time he says it!!!
So? Who cares?
