I need to try the brush again. Im that person that gets it tangled n stuck, pulling n frizzing out the hair, n frustrated af!😣 But I've never seen anyone explain their technique while they use the brush. They always blow-dry in silence. So this was awesome!! Tyfs! ❤️🙌
Wow i remember when you only had 10k subs when i found you. You taught me how to braid and now everyone at school asks me to braid their hair because mine are so "signature" which is just professional because you taught me how. Much love
I’m a cosmo student and you are a freaking saint! I feel like school kinda just expects you to know a baseline of blow drying… this helps me build that baseline so much!
for a beginner your videos are detailed and simple to understand...... you are an amazing teacher, thank you for this video.... still learning how to hold the blow dryer and brush correctly but I am happy to be your subscriber.
I've noticed that most salons a lot of stylus don't want to do natural hair when they blow dry it it takes foreverand then I noticed that a lot of youtubers with say how their hair came out damaged and uneven Thank you for the little tricks that you gave me to try ♥️
It's true. In most cases they are trying to have type 4 hair behave in a way its not supposed to. Type 4 hair doesn't lay flat as it naturally has a lot of volume. In order to force it to lay flat it requires a high heat setting and multiple passes. Even worse if the client has low porosity hair. It's going to take even longer to dry and require more passes. Plus a lot of the time the hair isn't protected with a heat damage reducing product. Blow outs in a general sense isn't good for type 4 hair.
Thank you for explaining how you do this. I've attempted styling my own hair with a round brush and a blow dryer with that attachment but since I did NOT know the proper technique, my hair went EVERYWHERE. I will have to try this out and see if I can do it.
There's no way he doesn't have to wake all of his clients up when he's done. I bet he soothes every one of them to sleep, like a whole massage session. 🥰
Thank you for showing your technique. I kept trying to figure out why the hair kept frizzing but when I watched you and you explained why it made me so happy! Thank you so much! I'm going to practice because I really want to get good at round brushing.
@@latoyawinston1007 agreed. Me too. They usually have to follow that up with a flat iron or flexi rods or something else. He was using the round brush to actually style the hair.
Always giving us gold nuggets!! 🙌👏 You are hands down one of the best educators I've ever seen. You take the time to be thorough and considerate of the fact that you may have beginners watching and we need guidance!! (Well I know I do 😂) Great video as always! 💕
Thank you very much for showing us the blow out and all the tips. I will be using them. I am partial to my new blow dryer, the Rusk Speed Freak. I think tourmaline is what I'm looking for in a blow dryer and I think it's 2,000 watts. I use different brushes as I blow out. I use the Ibiza, large barrel, Chaz Dean (Wen) hair brush and Sam Villa brush. I'm a Wen girl and my hair is better now than when I was 20. Again, thank you, your video was straight to the point and not all that rhetoric. Very well done! XO
I’m in cosmetology school now an have been struggling the past few weeks with frizz control when doing round brush. Do you have any recommendations for controlling it? The video was the most informative one I have seen so far as well. Thank you
Thank YOU! I’ve been trying to find a video that explains blow drying hair in more depth. This was super helpful. I’ll try it when I get home and get 1800 watts blow dryer!
So educational! I Love this channel so much! What's your thoughts on blow dryer attachments, like the wide toothed combs? Do you think they are beneficial at all or are the round brushes are just the better option?
I use combs for blowing out hair to braid it, but not for styling or silk pressing. I usually use a paddle brush or a round brush for that, they get the hair smoother.
I’m so glad u made this. Too bad I did that blow out yesterday ( in a very cringe attempt to cut off one to two inches of split ends and ask) and it was a lil messy. My hands were always fumbling with the blow dryer and the brush and whew Chile I said phaque it. Did the whole head tho. I really been struggling even before quarantine because my healthy is health but not entirely. My shine is getting blocked by my dead ends and the splits I’ve felt in the mid length of my hair ( from damage from a stylists who was supposed to trim my ends). No one out here does natural hair. Just too tight African braids Without proper hair care, white ppl salons, and black salons that only know how to handle straight hair. I finally found someone but I’m not gonna see her anytime soon lol. So team diy it is. At this point idegaf about style I just wanna stop feeling excessive splits and knots. I’m close to getting it figured all out.
Not gunna lie as per your recommendation in many videos I tried something from Giovanni. I'm quite pleased with the items they offer and my bf whose curl pattern is similar to yours also liked the company.
2000 watt dryer yall make sure you use a dedicated power socket. That will blow an overload circuit. Some older houses and apartments have lower power loads.
Great tutorial! I was wondering what kind of product you would recommend for coarse and dry hair? I checked out your Amazon recommended items but wasn't sure which would be best for coarse and dry hair.
Hi, hopefully you will see this question? I have 3b/3c hair and I want to practice blowouts for my hair texture. What would be the best type of mannequin hair for doing so?? Thank you so much❤
Can I ask how you control the brush like a professional? I tried to pull but once it goes in I can't roll or once I roll in its so hard to pull out especially once it reach root
Question I learned that the nozzle should touch the hair and should always be a few inches away from the hair. Is that correct or? Got fine hair therefore being extra careful
Awesome! I teach high school cosmetology! What state are you in? I’m not sure what all states offer cosmetology at the high school level. I teach in Texas.
Thank you for another informative video. I haven't put heat on my hair in 5 years and someone told me that's not good. That it should be blown out every once and a while. Is this true?
Coco Harris no, that’s not true at all. The only time I feel like heat is “needed” is during deep conditioning, and even then it’s a gentle heat. Excellent question!
Hi Linwood, I was wondering if you could show some graduation hairstyles for straight hair despite the ceremony being postponed due to COVID-19. Thank you and stay safe always. 💙
How do you feel about people using a blow dryer that already has a brush attachment on it? For example, the "Revlon pro collection salon one step hair dryer and volumizer" is a blow dryer I've seen some people use before silk pressing their hair. But I want your professional opinion on it 🙂
How do you end up with this double curl in the bottom? I'm a hairdresser as well but I wonder, how, with this technique, you get that double curl in the bottom
I love this tutorial! Thank you so much!! I've been trying to practice my styling and working on a better blowdry because I struggle with blow-dries lol 💜💜 one question tho: what would you do if you didn't want a curl on the ends and just wanted it like sleek and straight?
