I really don't like how exposed the toilet is. But I drive a 40 foot bus as my job. So getting a bus like this is appealing to me. I'd probably add on a garage to the entire back since I don't need those back windows at all. I do love the skylight built where the hatch was. And I love having the back handicapped door there especially since you have children. It's a good safety measure, it must really help with ventilation and it seems it would help when you are trying to get something cooked and kids are running in and out. I'd get one of those screen things you can put in front of the doors with the magnets down the center opening so you could keep the doors open without the problem of bugs. I love the bus though and I give her kudos for having the courage and ingenuity to do this. Her kids will always remember it.

I am in love with this conversion! I've watched it four times now and I've shared it. I will be looking up the conversion experts who helped make this build happen. I am stoked! Been sleeping in my cargo van with my five dogs and two cats for six months now while still working until I retire this summer and finally hit the road! And we're going to do it in a converted shuttle bus!!!

Rita, most of the critics here don't have a way of living in the outback like you 4 girls so they are envious of you. Don't sweat over their comments. The van is lively and your life is to die for. 10/10
Awesome! I purchased a 25-ft 2005 E450 shuttle bus 14 months ago and I love it. It was fantastic to see a conversion made on a vehicle similar to what I have. That key for the door is interesting. No one told me about that. Wish I had the handicap door and a back door in mine. But I will be replacing the back emergency window with a double door soon enough.
Rita, good job on your tiny house shuttle bus! It looks comfortable to spend days in and it still looks spacious and bright. The outside shower + the magnetic strips (that hairbrush! ♥️) are very thoughtout.
Literally just watched the video of this interior being built on the builders channel! I was scrolling through more shuttle conversion videos and scrolled past this one, had to scroll back up because I was like "I recognize that build!" It's so nice to be able to see the finished product! The way she has the curtains rigged up is brilliant. I'm looking to do my own shuttle conversion soon and I was wondering how I was going to cover and uncover so many windows easily. I honestly think I'm going to use her method. I'm genuinely glad I came across your video. The rounded edges on the bed is a great idea too. Beautiful conversion. Thanks to both you and her for sharing and I hope she and her girls have many happy trips!
Thank you. I don't regret do the curtains like that one bit. Good luck on your conversion. Yes, Mike and I live pretty close to each other and are close friends today!
30 inch wide mattress x 6 feet is bunk bed size if you want to buy a regular mattress. Great buildout. I love all the windows you get with a shuttle bus conversion so you can see the great outdoors and not feel confined. Happy travels.
Thank you. We needed 4 inch mattress and the bunk mattresses are only 5.5 feet with curved bottom. We LOVE the windows and made it a priority to keep them open. Thank you for your kind words.
i love it! i have three daugthers myself and a single dad. your truck/bus camper may just suit our need for a camping truck. right now i have an old 199 kia dropside ceres for conversion.
If I were you, I would do the trundle. Lot more room during the day and more headroom. IMHO Although you would have many more options with just the two of you.
@@OldSkoolieSimple Hi Rita, I really think it's great that you didn't make your kids sleep in smaller beds, so that you could have a larger one. While I understand some couples with little kids saying that they want some privacy, a king bed for the parents requiring little kids to sleep in small and narrow beds is just unfair. So congrats on a gorgeous bus that looks well loved. I hope you and your daughters are doing well right now.
I am SO inspired!! I was recently GIVEN a shuttle bus because I have a son in a wheelchair. I will need to keep the lift and tie downs, so we can still use it to transport him to doctor appointments. Perhaps NJOA didnt know why anyone, let alone a mom with young girls, would want to blur out their licence plates!
Congrats to this amazing mom! She did an awesome job converting her bus to fit her family! I just found ur video but couldn't go without commenting. Thanks for posting.
Thank you very much.
Rosa Espinal That’s very sweet of you to say. Thank you.
This just goes to show that you don't have to spend tons of money to have a nice workable camper! Nice job! Kudos to Rita on her efforts to give her girls great experiences!
Thank you. I am glad you appreciate the same thoughts I had.
I’m watching a ton of these for inspiration but this is one of the few I’m saving. Well planned layout
Thank you Daniel
Amazing build!!! such a good flow!!! all the windows visible
nice simple systems. just fantastic!!!
Glad you like it!
Very nice conversion by a mother, with the girls around.. Salute to the mother.. Namaste from India..
Great and strong mom..... Love you from India.. God bless you dear... I really love this bus

She did a great job on her conversation. By the way she sounds , they are really enjoying themselves. Thank you both for sharing.

Thank you. Yes, we are having a BLAST!
Cool conversion. We are also Skoolies. 1983 Ford My husband converted a short school bus and we sold everything. Have lived on the road over 2 years and love it. We don't really miss having a house and our backyard always changes!
Thank you for watching Johanna
That is so cool. I hope to meet up with you someday. I can't get enough of Skoolie/Bus/Vanlife stories.
What a wonderful interview. I had been in love with vans, now thinking about a Skoolie but Rita has made me stop and think about a shuttle bus. She did a great job! What an interesting and insightful person.
Thank you. Feel free to email me any questions you have about Shuttle Buses. I'll do my best to answer any questions you have Rita@PrettySimple.Life
I am in love with this conversion!
Thank you very much. I am glad it was helpful
Thank you. It really moves me that you are influenced by this build. Check your notifications.
@@OldSkoolieSimple how do I do that?
@@OldSkoolieSimple I don't understand what you meant by "check your notifications."
Rita is awesome!!!! her girls are lucky to have a mom like her
Thank you
Thank You!
What a great conversion. Simple layout, and so practical. I really appreciate you filming and posting this. Just great!
👍🏻👏🏻🌹❣
Thank you
Thank you.
Wow! I never would have thought to get a shuttle bus. So much room inside. She thought of everything. It's beautiful!
It really is!
I love the windows in shuttle buses too.
Rita,
You’re an amazing Mom, and there is no doubt your girls will have some of the best childhood memories to look back on when they grow up. I have a feeling you’re going to be taking out your grandchildren when it’s time too. You’ve done a great job and take a moment to be proud.
Thank you for watching
AWE!! Thank you. That means a lot! I think I will take a moment ;-)
There's a lot of simplified carpentry in here that show a lot of ingenuity. Great! saving this for future viewing.
Thank you for checking this out
Thank you. The goal was trying to come up with creative simple ideas.
Glad you noticed.
Rita, most of the critics here don't have a way of living in the outback like you 4 girls so they are envious of you. Don't sweat over their comments. The van is lively and your life is to die for. 10/10
Thank you for that. It is their view and I don't mind. It is a reflection of them, not me, right? Your words are very kind and appreciated.
Thank you
Very well thought out design. Nice budget build. I bet the kids love it.
Thank you
Thank you for watching
I think the toilet shouldn't be used too often
Awesome idea Rita! Your girls are lucky to have a clever and amazing mom like you! 💞💞💞
Thank you for watching
I hope you are posting your progress somewhere. Please share it on facebook.com/groups/250257305887129/
Rita, good job on your tiny house shuttle bus! It looks comfortable to spend days in and it still looks spacious and bright. The outside shower + the magnetic strips (that hairbrush! ♥️) are very thoughtout.
Thank you. So kind of you to say. Thriving on Simple.
That was amazing Rita..good for you! love the use of shuttle bus! Very smart how you did it all! Save time and money! kudos and thanks for sharing!
Thank you very much Jim.
Thank you.
Absolutely amazing! So well planned and thought out. You obviously can accomplish whatever you put your mind to. Be safe and ENJOY IT!!
Thank you for watching
Thank you.
Literally just watched the video of this interior being built on the builders channel! I was scrolling through more shuttle conversion videos and scrolled past this one, had to scroll back up because I was like "I recognize that build!"
It's so nice to be able to see the finished product!
Thank you very much Carol
Thank you. We needed 4 inch mattress and the bunk mattresses are only 5.5 feet with curved bottom. We LOVE the windows and made it a priority to keep them open. Thank you for your kind words.
She thought of EVERYTHING. This is awesome.

They really did a great job transforming this bus to a functional living space! Outstanding ....... & Patrick likes it too!
Thank you 😊
Looks great! I especially like the bedroom design. It is just my daughter and I, so the "twin" bunks would work fine for us.
If I were you, I would do the trundle. Lot more room during the day and more headroom. IMHO Although you would have many more options with just the two of you.
Thank you Cheryl

@@OldSkoolieSimple Hi Rita, I really think it's great that you didn't make your kids sleep in smaller beds, so that you could have a larger one.
While I understand some couples with little kids saying that they want some privacy, a king bed for the parents requiring little kids to sleep in small and narrow beds is just unfair.
So congrats on a gorgeous bus that looks well loved. I hope you and your daughters are doing well right now.
Wow, that is THE best van plan I've seen. Well done!
Thank you very much
I am SO inspired!! I was recently GIVEN a shuttle bus because I have a son in a wheelchair. I will need to keep the lift and tie downs, so we can still use it to transport him to doctor appointments. But I would love to be able to use it for camping trips with my younger son. We use my partner’s RV for family trips. There are so many great ideas!! Thank you for sharing your conversion!!
Oh wow.
How awesome is that? I am so excited for you to use it also for travel. You and your son should definitely work on that. I would love to help. Please reach out to me via The Gardner SHOW Summer Home On Wheels on Facebook. I am serious.

Glad you enjoyed it!
This is the 2nd video today I watched on your channel! This is the type of conversion I want to do, too! She nailed it with that bedroom! And I like tthat she keeps is simple! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you
Seastorm 1978. When you are ready to build, reach out. I'd love to help. Thank you for your kind words. I have to admit, the bedroom is my favorite part and has worked perfectly. The mattresses are only 4 inches and made by Totcha. SOOO COMFY!
Love how crafty she is. 💜Good momma 💝 and very nice of her sharing with everyone.

Appreciate the video, and I enjoyed it very much. Thanks for all of your hard work.

Great conversion. I shuddered though when she said she scrapped the wheelchair lift. I’m looking for a secondhand one right now to put in a van conversion.
Put it out there on Social Media that you are looking for one. I can't tell you how many people are trying to get rid of them.
She is adorable! Seems a lovely lady.
Thank you
Thank you
Rita, congratulations on this awesome home away from home. I REALLY like it. Btw, I’m a tiny house enthusiast as well. I’ve visited a couple of builders since I’ve considered living in one in the future.
Thank you very much
Awesome. YOU HAVE GOT TO MESSAGE ME. It is such a lonely arena, we have to chat..
This is just an awesome conversion! Good for you Rita!
Thank you.
Thank you very much
Thank you Rita for sharing your fantastic build. I really love some of the ideas she has incorporated . I thought I was dead set on a van but if I could snag one of the tiniest shuttle buses I totally would. Main goal is to be stealth so I can keep costs down.
Good luck! You can totally do it!
Yes you can do it
I love this van/ RV. You've given me so much to consider and plan. Thanks.
Thank you.
Always impressed with single moms who make it work. Great job mom.
Thank you
Thank you. To be honest, it would not have ever happened had I remained married.
This has a lot of good ideas. I've been heavily researching what vehicle I need to purchase to convert. I'm very interested in one like this.

Thank you. I'll be sure to show my kids your comment!! ;-)
I almost purchased a shuttle bus last year, but my hubby did not like the leaks in the engine and we did not want to have to start with repacing the engine. After seeing her conversion I wish we had.
This is amazing! What an incredibly creative transformation!!! To say that I am impressed, will be a gross understatement. Simply love it. 🥰
Wow...I’m in love with your shuttle bus...and so jealous...God Bless and enjoy life
