OMG! I loved this video, camper and her! She is very charming and down to earth, her vintage camper just looks AMEZING and it actually showed me personally the advance not of taking a small step (into a smaller van). I would love to live on the road a wholesome life, and this lovely lady really showed me how it could be done. She created the most wholesome rolling home for her own life on her own terms, you can clearly see her personallity reflecting in this camper. I really think it is importen when modeling a tiny home that you take your time to figure what space you need for the things you love to do. I dream of an artists/gamer lady home myself. Best of luck out there! And thank you so much for this video, it really inspired and brighten me today!

Denise Cole, we adopted an ol girl kitty, must've been the last home before, well, you know... Anyway, once she decided our fam of 5 was ok, she came out of hiding and owned the home. Summers we throw all into 31 ft old camper and go off for 2 weeks... with 2 dogs. Unsure of her travelling ability, and all of us stuffed into those quarters, we left her at the house with plenty of intake, fresh box and radio on (live in the quiet country). I couldn't stand it after 2 yrs and decided to take her along. She does great we all were sooo surprised! She owns the camper like a queen bee, she can jump up and observe, is way more active than home! We're blown away, totally didn't think she'd care to be so close with the dogs, but she ignores with dignity, and they tolerate their spaces same as home. Now the ol girl isn't left behind, and I'm glad (been adopted myself). Perhaps this may help to not totally rule out kitty travels.. LOL🤔😊

You are right I did have motorhomes in the past,I live in Scotland ,but you need to keep your food well sealed in containers as you do not want ants or mice in your van,if you get pool noddles you can cut to size to stop rattles and if you get some expanding curtain rods from Amazon so when you open your cupboards nothing falls out.Like you I traveled on my own and I had a metal cable with an eye at each end made long enough to go through each front door handle closed with a padlock so no one could open my front doors I am sure your mum would approve ,have fun and make memories ,stay safe we will be watching your travels ,I am now in my 70’s but did this all my life and miss it so much.

Don't be a 'hater'! Everyone dresses up their 'home' with their own style__I'll bet you have and do, too! I doubt you would leave everything exactly the way you bought it if it was an old house or any other abode! No! You would add your personal touches in creating the environment you love. This girl is redesigning her home in the ways that seem more practical for her needs__isn't that the whole idea behind going on the road(?). After all, everyone isn't into 'vintage'__though, she did keep the license plate frame for posterity's sake. Have a wonderful day! 😺

    • @BhappyD
      @BhappyD 5 років тому +16

Mindy Vaughn I don’t see any reason why the previous owner would be upset about the new owner making it her own space. It is meant to be her home, and the new owner was well aware of that, and likely expected that someone so young would want to make upgrades and change around the style to fit her own tastes. Absolutely nothing wrong with that, and I have a feeling the previous owner is just happy that her legacy is living on. If I had been the old owner, I would be happily impressed with what she has done with the place and seeing her own personal new vision that she created for herself! Additionally, everything considered “old” or “vintage” about the camper was all original, meaning the previous owner likely never customized anything herself, and just kept it all the same, so it’s not like the new owner is destroying or insulting the old owner’s “personal style” by any means. I don’t know anyone who buys a home and doesn’t do anything to it to make it their own, and customize and style it to fit their individual needs and taste. This camper is no different. This is HER home, that SHE payed for, and she deserves to create a space that makes HER feel happy and inspired. And lastly, she clearly doesn’t “hate vintage”. With that statement it doesn’t seem like you watched the video. She has kept the outside the same with no plans of changing it because she likes how it looks, she kept the driving area the same also because she liked how retro it looked, she’s kept the license plate cover the same to keep the old owner’s legacy alive, and she’s currently keeping the bathroom the same with no immediate plans to change it. She says multiple times that the retro helps her feel like the 70 year old man she’s always been inside. That doesn’t sound like someone who “hates vintage” to me, instead it sounds like the exact opposite. I would bet money on the fact that the old owner is thrilled with what she has done, but even more important for her is that another independent woman is picking up where she left off. That’s what truly matters, and that’s nothing to be sad about!

@@mindyvaughn8217 In reality when you buy a used house, camper, etc and fix it how you want it, the old owner never really likes what you did. They may say so to be polite. I thoroughly enjoy the length of these videos, please don't be discouraged by those that complain about how long they are (they either don't know how to skim, or see how long videos are before they click on them). Videos these length really allow these awesome people to showcase every detail of their homes, whereas other channels feel rushed. Most importantly (imo) your channel does an amazing job of allowing the personality of those featured to shine! Keep it up!

Okay, so i haven't seen anyone do a tour of a renovated Toyota THIS GOOD.
This is absolutely amazing. Amazing for both Aubrey and your your editing skills and giving these old Toyotas' justice.
I also have a Toyota, its a 1979 Mini-Mirage, possibly even more gangster on the outside than Aubreys, and I could never find any decent (editing wise) Toyota tours when i was renovating. Definitely using her leather pull for drawer idea - absolutely amazing.

I love that you use your motorhomes bathroom/shower.
I love that you use your fresh water systems!

Just a suggestion.. stay under 60-65 mph.
Remember when this was built, 55 mph was the limit. Your geared for that.
Any faster an you could be over reving the engine. Lessening it's life.

Your right your tires are most likely only rated for 60 miles an hour top speed to be somewhat safe. Remember when you run over rocks and bruise your tires, they become more likely to blow. CamperVan Kevin had that problem not long ago. Stay safe .

She said it's a dually. As long as you've got the right size of vehicle tires, and your not trying to roll plastic farm trailer tires or something, your good to go any speed that poor little 22re can manage. AND the dual axle hiluxes are actually (believe it or not) rated as one (1) ton trucks. Yes really. The non-rv models had a big red 1 logo on the badge. So theoretically your breaks should be up to it too.

I use to camp with my grandparents. In one of these. At first we just set up in my paps regular cabin and he bought and build a camper a few years later. My grandmother hated it. My grandfather and I loved it! He and I loved nature, my grandmother not even close. Got forbid a fly or spider crossed her tracks. I just lost my pap this past November he was 1week away from his 100th birthday. We lost my grandmother 2 years before. I miss them soo much! Especially my pap. What a wonderful man he was! I modeled my husband after my pap. We’ve been married 16 out of 19 years. I wanted a man that could camp, fish, hunt, good with tools, and loved to garden. Who knew the fella I was in fear of dating because we had 15 years between us, was actually the ruby I had been searching for. Took him 8months to get a date with me. Persistence paid off for the both of us.
We’re going to get a bus for our retirement. Can’t wait to travel with him. My pap would be so proud.

With your attitude about the fairer sex, I'll bet the ladies are just knocking down your front door...trying to get out...after escaping from the duct tape...craven...suits you...ain't got the balls to converse without a "roofie"...dudes like you should have a warning tattooed on your forehead...bet your parents tell people that they don't know you...good luck getting "moorehead" without paying for it...

That Mane and Tail Shampoo wil ruin your hair, Aubrey. It will make it straw like and very dull. Not a good shampoo for human use.

I know!!! My hair is not loving it either! Hahah BUT, I feel bad wasting those giant bottles. As soon as I am done with them I want to try making my own shampoo! Any suggestions?

@@huckphinn there are many recipes online for shampoo but I personally love any shampoo with tea tree oil and all natural without sulfates and parabens. Nature's Gate makes a good one. I have an oily scalp so I don't use conditioner but every once in a while and only on the ends, not on my scalp.

Why? No need to give someone else your hard earned money. They generally take a third of your money...smdh, same with eBay and Amazon. A UA-cam channel with about 50,000 subs who share her site and she will have more work than she can handle.
