@@gerrynightingale9045 Airstream is at the high end of RVs and 2 weeks is not considered "living in". Antifreeze in the grey water tank makes it a blackwater dump. Wow! I’ve viewed a lot of van tours and this is prob my favorite w/the deets and the color scheme etc. Great job Lindsey & family. Stunning & beautiful. Safe & happy stealth travels.✌🏼
Interesting juxtaposition. I'm a retired Power Engineer who ran Hospital power plants and you're a nurse who has schooled me with your genius build. Many hands make light work. I'd make sure that inverter has good ventilation, especially being close to the batteries, but the shut off switch and CO monitor as well as many other features are well conceived. Definitely one of the best builds I've seen in many respects. Very clean.
I've watched a lot of van builds and this one is by far my favorite! Awesome job! You should be very proud. And great parents! I'd say the apple doesn't fall too far from the tree:)
One of the first things that got me thinking about downsizing/mobile life was watching Patrick's videos with Colonial Airstream about a year and a half ago. Since then I've been going deeper down that rabbit hole, eventually ending up digging into the idea of building up a van, and now here's Patrick again. I feel like I've come full circle with this guy.
Incredible design & build. Simple, minimalist & shows personality & almost industrial design. Love the litter genie for trash! Fabulous idea! Fridge/freezer is perfect size compared to others. Great locking drawers- especially for expensive tech equipment. Love the propane carbon monoxide detector which many others don't seem to have. Safety is key on the road- especially full time living. My one issue is; I need a wet bath. It's important to me to not depend on finding gym or shower facilities. Also I'd want small pump for sink to avoid foot pump. She's thought of everything & as a nurse is used to troubleshooting & coming up with simple solutions. She's definitely done lots of research! Overall this is such a well thought out design & build. Bravo from a fellow nurse at the NJ shore!
This build is fantastic. Lots of smart and innovative choices, didn't really skimp on anything (relative to other vans/rv builds) and the out of pocket cost of $10k sounds low, considering all that was done. The only thing I'd change is the sink foot pump, which is an easy fix. Hard to believe this was her first try. Very impressed.
Patrick, HELLO,, This is a wonderful home build ,now, it’s NOT FAR FETCHED an idea of NURSES on the move, actually the first ones were ‘TINY HOMES’. Some were trailered by heavy pick ups, & some were professionally transported to the NW, stationary , so she has solar, 12volt & 120volt via inverter, + charged as the engine runs. Just wonderful,,,, Cheers From NJ🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
She is so thoughtful and organized. That takes a lot of self-awareness and logical, purposeful thinking. Great energy, too! A learning video! Thanks for sharing.
I’ve been watching a lot of conversion videos. This one really impressed me! I like the under bench storage & the closet! Really keeps the space open. Nice job Lindsay!
I really appreciate how you said your parents were “willing” to use their time! Kids these days think that parents should just drop everything and do things for them but they don’t understand that the reason why they have a house over their head, clothes on their back, and food in their bellies is because they both have to work.
I love how knowledgeable she is when it comes to her conversion and her understanding of all the systems involved....especially the electrical components. She could easily tackle any issues that arise as well as help others she meets on her new life journey.
As for the electrical, would that inverter put out too much heat within the enclosed space? Dunno about lithium ion batteries not tolerating too much heat like the normal automotive batteries...
This is really amazing. My 10yrs old daughter is asking me whether I can help her converting a van for living when she gets to college. I need to show her tomorrow. Thank you!
That is really a good conversion. I love that she is a nurse. Hope she is still out there doing her thing. It's truly inspiring. I'd love to experience life on the road and the freedom it brings. I know it's not all rainbows and unicorns. Thank you Jersey for highlighting this woman.
When I finally am able to get my van, this is the layout I want and have doodled on paper. I don't need a work desk, Lindseys' is great, I want a shower and composting toilet. I have been wondering how its floor plan would look with a garage under the table/bed. I love your videos. I live in Ventnor next door to Atlantic City so when I ran across your channel I had to stay with it. I'm glad I did because of this video for sure. Thanks for your time making the videos for us. Be Safe and Have Fun While Being Kind
Kathy Another NJ shore girl (although older than most!) here... north of AC. Completely agree; couldn't function without a wet bath & either composting or cassette toilet. Just my own hangup. Almost bought an older model camper van 2 months ago but decided it didn't fit my personality, had lots of miles on it & would still need more money invested into it. Been researching these & tiny homes for several years. I'm able to swing it now but waiting for just the right fit. Lindsey's design is fantastic & shows so much thoughtful preparation.

Wow! I’ve viewed a lot of van tours and this is prob my favorite w/the deets and the color scheme etc. Great job Lindsey & family. Stunning & beautiful. Safe & happy stealth travels.✌🏼
Thank you very much
Interesting juxtaposition. Very clean.
Thank you for watching. Check out more van videos on the channel
Love this design & her personality is infectiously cheerful! Thanks for being a nurse & taking care of us !
You are so welcome!
That is a fantastic clean van build one of my favourites and I have seen many!
Thank you very much
Thanks, Sophie! I appreciate the compliment :)
I've watched a lot of van builds and this one is by far my favorite! Awesome job! You should be very proud. And great parents! I'd say the apple doesn't fall too far from the tree:)
I was so happy to meet her
This is my favorite so far, such a well used space.
Thank you Paul
One of the first things that got me thinking about downsizing/mobile life was watching Patrick's videos with Colonial Airstream about a year and a half ago. Since then I've been going deeper down that rabbit hole, eventually ending up digging into the idea of building up a van, and now here's Patrick again. I feel like I've come full circle with this guy.
Thank you 🙏🏼
Incredible design & build.
Thank you Susan
This build is fantastic. Lots of smart and innovative choices, didn't really skimp on anything (relative to other vans/rv builds) and the out of pocket cost of $10k sounds low, considering all that was done. The only thing I'd change is the sink foot pump, which is an easy fix. Hard to believe this was her first try. Very impressed.
Thank you for appreciating the work that was done. Please be sure to check out more like this on the channel.
The Best Layout I have ever seen. Very smart.
Thank you
I am totally impressed with everything she thought of and the knowledge of the power (batteries and such) I wish I had the money to do that
Thank you Eileen
Patrick, HELLO,, This is a wonderful home build ,now, it’s NOT FAR FETCHED an idea of NURSES on the move, actually the first ones were ‘TINY HOMES’. Some were trailered by heavy pick ups, & some were professionally transported to the NW, stationary , so she has solar, 12volt & 120volt via inverter, + charged as the engine runs. Just wonderful,,,, Cheers From NJ🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Thank you 🙏🏼
She is so thoughtful and organized. That takes a lot of self-awareness and logical, purposeful thinking. Great energy, too! A learning video! Thanks for sharing.

Really like that swivelling table!
Thank you for watching
I’ve been watching a lot of conversion videos. This one really impressed me! I like the under bench storage & the closet! Really keeps the space open. Nice job Lindsay!
Thank you very much
What a beautiful conversion; I hope you are proud of yourself because you should be! Happy & safe travels Lindsey!
Thank you very much Cindy
I really appreciate how you said your parents were “willing” to use their time! Kids these days think that parents should just drop everything and do things for them but they don’t understand that the reason why they have a house over their head, clothes on their back, and food in their bellies is because they both have to work.
Thank You Lindsey, Great Jop on Your Van ! Y'all made up a lovely little travel home van.
Your parents are Lovely Folks. Enjoy Myrtle Beach!

I love her! She's so spunky and sweet! Thanks for the tour love, you did a great job!
Thank you very much
If you're going to stay in northern climates, you may want to look into diesel parking heaters, they are very efficient and create a safe dry heat.
Thank you for the suggestions
The creativity in these DIY vans is amazing

The best thing you do compared to other videos is you actually show what the people are talking about instead of just showing the people talking!
Thank you Earl. 👍🏽
Wow, what a professionally done build. Wonderful young lady too, happy travels!
Thank you Robin
Love the lay out! Thanks for doing this video. Absorbing everything I can in anticipation of selling my house and going land cruising!
Thank you Lori
This is really amazing. My 10yrs old daughter is asking me whether I can help her converting a van for living when she gets to college. I need to show her tomorrow. Thank you!
Thank you for watching. Good luck
That is really a good conversion. I love that she is a nurse. Hope she is still out there doing her thing. It's truly inspiring. I'd love to experience life on the road and the freedom it brings. I know it's not all rainbows and unicorns. Thank you Jersey for highlighting this woman.
great build!! her & her dad should open a van conversion shop
👍🏽
I've told my dad he's going to be bored when he retires....so maybe some day we can go into business together!
Maybe not in Grand Rapids 😁
@@linds234 I'll keep this Lindsey just in case he does...but wish you were closer to Florida (:
Lindsey I am subscribing to your channel in wait for van build.
WOW! Ingenious design, features, and build out!
Thank you for watching
Thanks!!!
Do you have a UA-cam channel too, Lindsey?
@@emdee3326 No, I do not. You'll have to keep enjoying New Jersey Outdoor Adventures' videos :)
Kathy DeCree shower and bathroom are primary.
Thank you Kathy. I would love to feature your build one day.
@@NewJerseyOutdoorAdventures I'll be watching your videos, getting more ideas. I'll track you down. haha Be Safe and Have Fun While Being Kind

Another NJ shore girl (although older than most!) here... north of AC.
@@sjladuke75 That's great. I wish I was ready to go not. My pension doesn't kick in till 2021 that's when I plan to leave. RVing across the country is what I had always thought I'd do after retirement. Because of circumstances, back in 2005, things have changed and I know I can't afford an RV now, but I am very happy I found vans and buses and I am able to follow my dream again. I can't wait. By the way, I'm older than most, pension, 18 months. Good luck with your search and your trip. Maybe we'll run into each other, not literally of course.
Lindsey thank you for sharing in such great detail not only the products that you used, but the ingenuity with which you used them. I recently bought a bus, however the information that you shared will provide a template for many of the projects with my conversion. Very Best and Thanks Again, Paul
Thank you very much Paul
Wow, very impressed with your van build and with you also young lady. It sounds like you have great parents and appreciate them. I bet they are very proud of their daughter. Good luck to you.

Wow they thought this out very well as well as did an amazing job. Very neat and put together. Love it!
Thank you for checking it out. Many more van videos here
Y'all did an amazing job with the build. No wasted space and good function. 👍🏻
Thank you
the van has great design. thanks 4 the tour & cost breakdown. I would like 2 build 1 as well. very inspiring best wishes
Thank you Janet
Very cool and practical build! Lindsey definitely knew what she was doing!
Thank you very much
I love the detail in her van. You can definitely tell she has looked at a lot of you tube videos. Loving the fact that she did it alone with her parents. My favorite part is the slide out for the bikes.
We agree!
One of the best thought out builds I’ve seen thus far! And I’ve seen a LOT of van builds at several RTR’s. Though way beyond my expertise! Thank you for sharing!
Thank you Kelly
I'm in Grand Rapids too, so I can relate to wanting to "winter" in Myrtle Beach. This was such a thoroughly descriptive and detailed video. Thanks for sharing!! Best wishes to you on your future adventures in your home on wheels!!! p.s. I want one just like it. 😊💕
Glad it was helpful!
Great job Lindsey, tremendous energy and enthusiasm.✌
Thank you
This is just a terrific conversion & interview. Lindsey's creativity and thoughtfulness is off-the-chart. Why would she buy something standard... when her imagination can produce this! I've taken copious notes from this video - the intelligence and research demonstrated is much appreciated. Wish them both the best!
Thank you for the tour oh, very well done. I have been in the hospital quite a few times in my lifetime. You nurses are angels on Earth.
I am extremely impressed with this van build for sure
Thank you for watching
She knows what's up...
I've been living in a tiny house for about a year and I have about all the same low power electronic she does
Awesome
Oh my goodness! This is so impressive & incredibly thoughtful !
She is wonderful! The conversion is prrtty good too :)
Thank you Chris.
I love the van conversion very much but I also adore its owner. You are such a nice person. Easy to be with I suppose. Safe travels and lots od fun alongside. Regards from a Pole who admire this way of life.
Thank you Maggie
Litter genie idea is genius.
Yes 👍🏽
One of the nicest conversions I've seen. Sharp girl.
Thank you
