I am now able to play music for my streams after a little tweaking to the output so audio doesnt loop through two destinations in obs and i was also able to get discord to another channel allowing me ti have set game, party, music, and my own mic loudness. Much love man.

Still very helpful as of today, working on windows 11, a bit harder to find some spots he got to like the sound settings, the thing he goes to that is just called "sound" is accessed through "more sound settings" in the advanced section. The "App Volume and Device Preferences" has changed to "Volume Mixer", opened by right clicking the volume next to your clock. Hope this is helpful for windows 11 users as this tutorial was.

Sometimes there are long musical bridges and for me it was always kind of awkward to know that the others only hear my voice and not the music. So there used to be long periods with no sound coming from me at all and they sometimes thought I had stopped singing. ^^" But with your help I finally figured out a way to combine the sound of the Video with my voice. So thanks a lot. Also for those who want to try it: It took me a few minutes to figure it all out but it is totally worth it. And I set the "Music" (the second bar in the Voice Meeter) at 0 because with -15 the sound of the video didn't get through completely to Diskord.
after years of failed attempts to make exactly this possible, i finally got it working with pretty good audio quality thanks to you. thank you very much!
The rule of thumb is voice is set 20db above music audio to give voice broadcast quality 'presence'. Normally this would be done by using audio digital signal processing compression to raise the voice presence however without DSP one could reduce the music audio by 20db.

Hey, so just figured out that you don't even need the VB Audio Cable. Banana comes with two virtual inputs, so you can just use the Voicemeeter Aux as the music tab output and set it up in the app to direct to A1, A2 for speakers if you have them, and B1! Makes it much simpler, since (for me at least) VB Audio Cable doesn't always work.
I remember trying this a while ago and it didn't work at all, but I gave it another shot now and it worked perfectly on the first try. Right on dude, right on.

Hello, I'm trying to stream music through a game but the other players are saying it sounds off, echoing, a lot of feedback, and it does not sound right. Have any advice?
I play GTAV RP, and I want to sing with background music from browser, but the music kinda falls in and out. If I change my browser output to VM VAIO it work better, but the FiveM apps use all the 3 inputs (VAIO, VAIO AUX, VAIO3, and I don't know why) so my voice or the game sound kinda feedback (or echoing back) since FiveM using those 3 virtual input at once. Still don't get the solution

it works fine, but it sounds low quality for my friend on discord voice chat. i use 48000hz edit: it works fine now, has to disable echo cancellation, noise suppression, automatic gain control and disable quality of service high packed priority. also, i mean that the music sounds fine. idk about talking, since we are not normal human beings and therefore don't do it

For those of you that cannot get it to work see if maybe noise suppression is on. It should be the button next to the disconnect button on discord. Disable it, for me this was a issue. Good luck!
@@ZbagdoesMC it might not be named "input" for you.. mine was named Speakers (VB-Audio Virtual Cable) and then after i selected this to test if it worked i went to a Microphone recording test website, hit record then played some music using the program i selected. then stopped the recording to listen to the playback. everything worked smoothly and quality was decent.

You have your in-game audio routing to the CABLE Output probably. Route it to the VAIO and it should work.

make sure you turn off echo cancellation and noice reduction in discord so discord doesnt make the music glitch out
