I think I'm gonna go with immediate also. Crazy stuff I never thought I would find myself having to watch these videos. Very helpful. I want to thank you for making these. Much love and respect 💯💯💯
Please don’t be hard on yourself. My teeth were pulled too. Sometimes no matter what you do. You still lose your teeth. It is not your fault it is just something happens.
I was blessed enough to find a dentist that offered immediate dentures, extractions, and permanent dentures all in one for a very reasonable price. I also did not want to go without teeth for an extended period of time. The first week was rather uncomfortable when healing with the intermediate dentures, but you’re always able to adjust. As they loosened, I found that using a denture cream did help. Just like to thank you for putting these out due to the fact I found you and got comfort out of your videos and what I had to do to repair my teeth . Thank you again. May God bless you and keep up the great work.
Thanks for sharing! I am sure your balanced review of your experience will be really helpful to those still on the fence about what direction they should take. God bless!!
I didn’t get immediate dentures. I get my permanent dentures next week. The teeth were pulled seven months ago. It is something that if I had it to over again. I would get the immediate dentures. You made good decision.
I just got my upper teeth extracted and I'm going for the implant dentures. I'm going at least 3 months with no upper teeth. It's been a lot of mental prep to try and be okay with that. I am 40 years old and I've gone at least 20 years of not taking care of my teeth. I'm terrified of the dentist so that's a big factor. I'm only 4 days into my extraction and I already am so much happier. No teeth feels more attractive than bad teeth imo lol. I wasn't prepared to feel so good about it and honestly that's throwing me through a loop too. I'm glad that it's going better than I expected though. The biggest adjustment this far is diet. I love hot, solid food meals. So that's been a challenge. I'm learning to love scrambled eggs and smoothies though lol. For anyone thinking of going the conventional route, I think as long as you prepare yourself for the physical changes it will make, it won't be as bad as you're making it in your head. At least that's how it's going for me. I've also found doing lots of research before you go into it helps immensely. It's good to know what to expect, the worst that can happen vs the best and everything in-between lol. Once you know the options and everything that comes with them, it makes it easier to decide what's best for YOU.
My Eday is Tuesday and I’ll be getting immediate dentures. I have watched every single one of your videos regarding your denture journey and I’m so thankful that you freely share information about a very personal subject.
I want to tell you, since it is not too late yet, PLEASE take a witness with you, and collect your teeth after removal, some dentists are shady, never leave any visit with out evidence! even have someone record the conversation if possible
I had my tops done this past Saturday and by the 24 hour mark they were already loose. So today on day 4 I went in and just had a small adjustment and got fixadent. I get my sutures out next week and a soft realign. Then next Saturday I do the bottoms. Then it's wait for my perms. It isn't a thrill ride, or painless. Not as bad as I was fearing though. I look forward to seeing the finished product. Not for vanity, just to know I am healthier and won't suffer anymore. Happy to be in a great community. Thank you and best of luck to everyone out there!
Thank You So Very Much For Sharing This After Getting My Teeth Extracted My Immediate Dentures Where Horrible They Where Incredibly Big I Couldn’t Eat With Them Or Talk With Them They Just Hurted. I’m 8 Months In With My Permanent Dentures I Love Them So Much I Can Eat With Them Talk They Are Completely Comfortable. I’m Just So Glad I’m Happy With My Permanent Dentures,.I Have The Best Dentist Ever!!
Thanks for sharing! Sorry your experience with the immediate dentures was less than stellar but glad it turned around with the final set! My mother also had a very difficult time with her immediate set and threw in the towel before ever getting the final set. Just shows the vast differences in experiences, even between family members. Glad you're happy with your dentist. That's so important!!
I’m still in my immediates and I feel absolutely defeated 😞. I’m 13 months post extraction and I’ve just given up hope my permanents will be that much better. I still struggle with eating with them. I don’t enjoy my food at all because I can’t taste and the texture of the food discourages me from eating with them in. I only eat without my dentures because of this! I also get REALLY frustrated with the ‘clicking’ of the the dentures! No matter how much Cushion Grip I use to fill in any spaces and adhesives to glue them in tight, I just cannot get them to feel comfortable. Please please tell me my permanent dentures will be better than this!!
@@shayshaymann113 I’m So Incredibly Sorry Your Experiencing This It Hasn’t Been Easy For Me Either I Wanted To Give Up Hang In There Please My Immediate Dentures Where Brutal I Hated Them My Question To You When Are You Getting Your Permanent Dentures? I had my bottom teeth removed, and was fitted with an immediate denture. I could not wear them. They caused excruciating pain. I worried about getting infections which could lead to sepsis. I’ve decided to go without, and wait until my mouth is fully healed, and get my final denture. They’re going to do my uppers next year. Maybe I’ll have better luck with those. The bottom denture is always the one that wants to move around more.
I had my extractions almost a month ago and could only were the bottom denture for the first three days. I wasn't prepared for the excruciating pain of the denture scraping my gum and tongue. I just got a soft reline on the denture a few days ago and only wore it for about four hours. Still, the scraping pain!
I'm right there with you, there was no chance I was going without teeth so I also got the immediate dentures. No regrets and having the temps, I knew what all I wanted in my permanent pair. Good seeing you, love your content!
41 and getting immediate next Monday. Was super nervous but after watching your videos in crazy excited! And much more educated. Thank you so much for sharing your journey and all of the information. There are a lot of us ladies and probably men out here that are still fairly young and having to consider this and you make it much easier to feel less weird about.
I had to have all my teeth removed back beginning of september 2023. I went for conventional route, as they didn't know how much bone I'd lose. It ended up being a tad more complicated as it turned out I was pregnant and it was ectopic. So as the theatre was booked, they did both operations at once. This meant a massively longer recovery time for me. My gums healed really well, but they removed all my reproductive organs and that took a few months to recover from properly. So I only started getting my dentures made a few months ago. I'm now at the point of the wax molds and the next is the wax mold with teeth. As it's the UK it's all being done on the NHS, so at least it isn't costing me anything. I was able to eat Christmas Dinner, but I do miss salad
I had all on 4 done in April after having dealt with horrible teeth my whole life. The healing process has been a challenge. I have lower jaw nerve damage which is now healing up. I’m about 60% nerve repaired. Your videos helped me so much. I’m 65 this year and looking forward to my permanent set around October. Just being able to smile and laugh without covering my mouth is a miracle for me. My temps are very believable. Thank you for being transparent for us out here. 😁
I had 26 tooth extractions done at once wide awake back in March. I didn't get immediate dentures. I have an appointment in July for my wax try in. I'm really hoping they will work but I'm prepared for them not to. I found out I have a small palate and I also already have some bone loss. The dentist said if I can actually wear them, than I will definitely need to wear adhesive. My main concern was getting all my bad teeth out. I'm finally no longer in pain and I can finally drink cold drinks.
E-day and immediate denture for my uppers is Monday. I have my natural bottoms in decent shape from premolar to premolar. I’m terrified but trying to get some comfort from UA-cam. I’m starting to feel a little better about it thanks to some great denture channels like yours.
I’ll be starting the process next month with extractions and an immediate denture. I also have had 5 implants over the years and will be getting 1 more so the permanent dentures will attach. Going without teeth while healing is not an option for me. So thankful I’ve come across your videos, they help to keep things realistic and calm my nerves a bit!
Kristi!!! So great to see you on here! You are spot on explaining this subject. I had top extractions only in May 2023 and an immediate denture which I still have. I am not at all pleased with the shape, size or length of the teeth from day one. I am going to Mexico for my permanent set July first and can't wait. These immediate dentures never really fit correctly and of course got worse with time. If it were not for Cushion Grip and Bondezz pads and Fixodent Powder I could not have made it through this year. I had a soft reline at the dentist ($150) but much prefer the feel of the Cushion Grip even if I have to do it often. It will be wonderful when I can eat normally HOPEFULLY with my permanent set fingers crossed. Thanks for this video.
@@mariasantiago2902 You misunderstood me... I am going for a new permanent upper denture to Aguascalientes Mexico to my husband's family July 1st. I am unsure of how much it will be but alot less than getting it done in the U.S.
You were a GODSEND for me when I got my dentures about ten years ago, I learned so much from you. It's a very scary road some of us are/were forced to take, the whole process is very stressful, but listening to you eased some of that. I couldn't go without teeth during that time for multiple reasons, and would say immediate dentures at least help you through those first few months. I had SO many problems, which only added to my stress level. Once the dentist dropped my lower partial I was wearing at the time and it broke. They glued it back together but that panic in the moment of thinking about how I'd look if I had to go without, I can still remember to this day. And things don't always go your way during the process so people should just be prepared for that. For my first permanent set, the mid-line on the uppers didn't line up with my nose so they had to re-due. It can be a long battle but I'd say don't give up until you're happy with your smile!
I am in immediate dentures. On second realine. Fit loosely. Biggest issue is struggling with talking. Hope it gets better. Learning to eat. Overall I am satisfied.
I got temp dentures but that was not until about 3 weeks after I had my teeth pulled. I got my conventional dentures about 3 months after my extractions, and I had to keep going in to have my gums measured. The company that I worked for paid for everything which came out to be 12k. This was in 2022. I've considered implants but I've done a lot of research on implants and implants are not without problems either. Not everyone is a good candidate for implants from what I can see. I've been told that i would be a good candidate for implants, but I'm not sure that I want to go that route. Thanks for all your information. You motivated me to get this done as my original teeth became a nightmare starting in my 20's.
Kalin , thank you!! I subscribed to your channel after my “ all in four” surgery I didn’t know there’s a community for ppl like us !!! I paid 77k ( cash ) for my procedure, I live in Santa Barbara California, yeah I paid an extra 20k due to where I live , however, I love my new smile , I’m still healing , if all goes well, my permanents will land in my mouth around Christmas 🎄, thank you for the deep , deep , deep dive into a world that I didn’t know existed!!
I had my extractions during covid. I had to have a full mouth bone graph too and so my mouth was full of stiches. Immedient dentures were not an option. Luckily, we were still working from home then, and whenever I had to go out, grocery etc., I wore a mask. Once my mouth fully healed, I was fitted with temporary dentures followed by permanents a year later. I actually picked your canines!! B4 or something like that. My permanent dentures fit great! They are snug and I don't need adhesive. Unfortunately I'm still not a candidate for implants, but I've gotten used to life with my removable dentures.
@@mariasantiago2902 the last scan I received the dentist was still not happy with my density, despite the graph. That was 2 years ago. I've gotten super used to my removable dentures and frankly I've not pursued the implant route. I may revisit it someday.
thank you sooo much for this video! I extracted my teeth 2 weeks ago and the temp. dentures are indeed created all the issues you've mentioned, I had partials for 15 years so I was not shocked about the situation and the feel, but I was extremely angry at the dentist because the temp. dentures were not only getting loose but the bite was faulty, top and bottom did not match and it is giving me headaches and it is a come and go to the dentist on a weekly basis and they make me feel like I am a crazy person.thsnk you for the reassuring that the permanent will be much better.
Hi Ka!!! I got my top extractions on 03/21/2024. I then got immediates right after. The immediates fit fine at first now they are as loose as possible i have to wear a lot of adhesives with them and thats horrible as well..have not gotten a reline since i have had them...my dentist office is horrible will not go back to them...they was overcharing me and wanted to charge me for every little thing i came back in for after extractions because my mouth was hurting i had bone fragments and i kept telling them that for 2 weeks and they kept saying oh no its just sore spots... finally on the 3rd visit the dentist was like oh, you weren't lying to me those are bone fragment...frwaling idiot like who lies about pain 🤦🏾♀️ so i decided i was not going back to them...i have an appointment in august with another dental provider.... hopefully this one will work out and ill be able to het permanent dentures...would love dental implants but too expensive for my blood.....ps...hate dentures with a passion...pray for me 🙏🏾🥴
I wore dentures for 7 months because I couldn’t decide on who to do my implants. My immediates cost 500 dollars and were entirely too loose. They took a horrible impression. Even when my gums and face were ballooned up from the swelling, they’d just fall out of my mouth. No adhesive would help. So my worst fear was realized and I went without teeth for 3 months. The conventionals weren’t perfect but they got me through until I received my implants. They fit a hell of a lot better and I could actually smile and talk with them. Word of advice to anyone considering this, don’t get immediates. Just keep a low profile for awhile if you can and wait until you can get fitted for conventionals. You’ll be so much happier in the end rather than stressed out from ill-fitting immediate dentures.
That sounds really rough. I hate that so many people have that experience with the immediates. My mom was one of them. My experience wasn't without challenges but definitely way better than my mom's. I'm glad you at least were able to find satisfaction in the end. Thanks for sharing!
@@djdalton6070yes I did! I got the all on four, the same one she has! They don’t come in and out. I highly recommend getting implants if you can afford them, they’re worth every penny!
So what is considered conventional dentures? I had my uppers all removed about 7 months ago 3 on each side on the bottom . My dentist wants 1800.00 just for the upper denture. I don't know what to do because I found out that he wasn't good at making dentures he's good with all the other work though. I'm confused I guess I have to look for another dentist somewhere that makes good dentures. I'm tired I don't have the greatest insurance I want to be able to smile again and eat again. What must I do?
I am getting conventional dentures I have been without teeth for going on a year I literally live behind a mask hopefully by beginning of December I'll have them. I also had a mandibular Tori on both sides so that added to the surgery and all these 6 surgeries were awake just novacaine and u have to remember You can also get bone spurs which happens when they don't properly remove all the bone fragments, and that's very painful I recommend taking anxiety medicine if that's possible
I'm so happy I found ur YT channel! I am 1 week post extraction of 22 teeth and I have the temp dentures. The dentist I am working with had me get 2 implants in my bottom jaw and non in my top. I am currently struggling with feeling like I'm not being heard 😕 I am only 36yrs old and I really wanted to be able to get either snap ins on top and bottom or permanent dentures. But every time I go in I almost feel like I'm being talked out of what I'm leaning towards. I'm scared that I'm just going to settle for what they recommend. But now I'm rambling on, ❤thank u for being so transparent on ur channel I wish I would have found it sooner, but so happy I found it at all!! 😊
Thanks for the video Kristi. Long time, no see. Dentures are great but it's sad and unfortunate our health system can't make implants so reasonable or affordable to the many who need them. Take care, hope you're well. Jeff
Totally agree and being in the land of plenty, surely it should be affordable but sadly we live in a land of some higher ups that care not for the less fortunate folks like us...I talked to people that went to other Countries outside of the US and they had dental implants for only a couple thousand, though the tough part is needing to fly to be able to go in for any adjustments or such needed things done...but the point is that poor Countries can do it at nearly ninety percent less than what it cost us here and ones I talked to that had work done, their work that was done is holding well and not needing to go back. Oh, what it would be like to live in a world where the wicked are not in charge and keeping the middle class in a state of poverty. Sooner than we know it it will be just the rich whom have it all and there will be no more middle class...well to a point it already is at that stage...it is either high or low class. God have mercy on us all. There is hope in God that the evil will not be forever but the ones whom put their faith in God, they will see the other side and be happy, while the wicked selfish wretched goobers will get theirs in the end. God have mercy on the evil ones but of course the wrath of God is just. Not to preach to you, simply just want to say I know what your going through and feel for you and may God help you along the way to be comforted even though it can be a tough world. 🤍
I have younger brother he had all of his top teeth pulled. He is getting implants. I don’t have the financial resources to get them. I will be getting my dentures next week. In this situation one would think. I should be pretty upset. At the unfairness of this. I am not the least bit upset. My brother works hard for the money he makes. Nobody handed him anything. The finances that my husband have zero. Too do with anyone who earns more then we do. Especially my younger siblings. All of them earn a lot more than my husband and I do. It would be waste of my time. To complain about not getting the replacement teeth of my choice. No one promised me that when my real teeth failed. That implants that require surgery for placement. Would be something that I could afford. I have had no teeth for seven months. I am extremely fortunate that my husband and I. Are able to get the dentures that I am getting. The real victims in our unaffordable healthcare system. Are for kids that can’t see dentist for cleaning. People of all ages who die. Of untreated tooth infection. Can’t afford any dentures at all. Will spend the rest of their lives gumming food. Kids that can’t afford braces. So as adults they are faced with tooth decay. That will cause them problems. You and I are not victims. We are extremely blessed to be able to do this. If you can’t see how obviously wrong you are. Then I can’t help you.
I am so glad I came across your videos recently ... my gosh where do I begin.. my first fitting for implants was yesterday. I have been on a emotionally challenging journey after extractions a year ago. I considered snap in until I did my research. Finding the right pariodontist, locally.. the money aspect is insane. I can't wear dentures even today. I struggled big time. The set you have in on you now, is gorgeous. And after listening to you speak, seeing the examples of hardware you have... thank you for being brave enough, to share this. I feel like you gave me a bit of hope.
I received immediate dentures. However, I couldn't really wear them because my face, mouth, gums were so swollen, bruises on my face and under my eyes. That was just for my top teeth. It was a little while before I could get the dentures in my mouth. They have never really fit great however, every adjustment was included in the price I paid. It is a difficult process, imo. First having no teeth, getting dentures and the roof of your mouth being covered. There is just alot to deal with. I've had 4 implants and will be getting my snap in dentures hopefully this week. It's a long process but, I'm praying in the end I will love my new teeth. I wish everyone the best of luck and great success throughout the whole process! ❤
I remember those days! I also had bruising. It wasn't severe, just very yellow and sore. You're right, it is such a layered experience and can be pretty difficult at times. Best of luck with the snap-ins!
My younger brother is 49 years old. Like you he had to have all his top teeth pulled. The top will be implants. His bottom teeth are fine. As for me mine were too bad. To save on the top or the bottom. I get my conventional dentures next week. So far my brother said the temporaries were not bad. But he is anxious about getting his permanents.
I've been without teeth or dentures for over a year now. At 58 yrs old, it's humiliating. I have tried to make my own but is so hard to do. It's so expensive to get dentures so it's impossible. I where the covid mask on the rare days i have to go out. Ive lost my ridges almost completely. Just feel lost in a broken system where you feel like human kindness and dignity means nothing. I hope everyone has a better experience and a success journey navigating this process. 🙏
Have you looked online. Easy Dentures are $400. For full set the teeth are already there. All you do is boil and bite. It is something that I am going to do myself. So you can have teeth again. I know it is embarrassing and isolating not having teeth. Sending hugs from Illinois.
I also have very small mouth too. They needed child size dental tools for my extractions. You have the same problem my husband has. Like you he doesn’t have any ridge left. He had been missing several teeth. For about 23 years before he got the rest pulled. He wouldn’t wear his partial. So when they pulled the rest. They told him that it would require a lot of adhesive. For him to wear them. The fact that they didn’t tell you about your bone loss. Is the part that upsets me. I also have bone loss. Due to gum disease and infection that spread to bone. So my time wearing dentures will not be very long. They should make dentures that are affordable. Also for people that have bone loss. I am really sorry that things are so miserable for you. Hopefully someone who is kind decent and compassionate. Will give you the gift you need to fix it. Bone grafting would make it so you could wear dentures. But it is expensive. Some kind decent dentist will hear your story and help you.
@@angelaschaefer5883 thank you for your kind words. It is really difficult but there are 1,000's upon 1,000's of us struggling with this. It is so impactful on overall health, from chewing and and digestion to bacteria that affects your whole body. Healthcare and dental care should be a right, not a luxury. Best wishes to you!!
It took 4 visits, between Feb and May to get all of my teeth extracted. I had severe swelling and bruising on my left side. I wasn't able to get immediate dentures but I will be getting them next month. Im excited!
I greatly appreciate your channel. I just had a full mouth extraction - with the plan of implants and not only have the temp dentures did not fit so I've been left without teeth for now 3 months but lost my job so the implants will be delayed. It's not as bad as I thought to be without teeth. My gums have needed the extra healing with other health issues going on and it's worked out my temps didn't fit because it would have caused more issues had they been able to stay in my mouth. When I get blessed with implants I will have completely healed mouth without the added challenge of struggling with temporaries
I’m looking for a good dentist. Can you recommend one? What doctor did you use for your final set. Most of my teeth are missing and I’m ready to move forward. One dentist laughed when he saw my x-rays, he didn’t realize I was already sitting in the chair. It broke me and I didn’t go back to a dentist for a few years. After watching your videos, I have built the confidence and would like to start the process. Thank you for your videos and your openness. ❤
Im 29 and had my teeth extracted 2 years ago and I got conventional dentures. I went 10 months without teeth and it was not fun.. I had to go to a dentistry school because I couldnt afford anywhere else and when I got my denture, they didnt even fit my mouth.. they had to be soft relined several times until I could afford the hard reline. Im honestly not a huge fan of the look of my dentures, the teeth are shaped in a way that doesnt suit my face, they extend my jaw more than they should and are positioned unnaturally straight.. its been an emotional process but I am super grateful I dont have tooth pain anymore and I can at least talk and smile without hiding my mouth. Ill definitely go somewhere else for my next set - I would love to have not only functional teeth but teeth that are aesthetically pleasing. I definitely dont recommend anyone to go to a dental school for their first denture, schools take longer because of the process they have to go through, they cant give you referrals, and obviously they are learning so youre not really going to get the best work done - if you feel thats ok for the price, totally go that route. But I really wish I had paid more for a better experience.
22 teeth extracted just over a week ago. First 3 days was painful naturally but doing really good now. I have a few sore spots to deal with but I do know this is also expected. My issue is keeping these dentures in my mouth. I started leaving them out at night to rest my mouth, also got a bit of thrush going on and am treating that. I am using several denture adhesives. Fixodent is ok but seems to liquify more quickly than most and ooze. Polident seems to do better and last longer. I also use Dr.B's and while it adheres well its even more difficult to remove. How do you get this adhesive out of the roof of your mouth? I use a baby tooth brush, my fingernail and even tweezers! Of course I am not healed up yet, but I need the glue, lol. I know we all deal with this, so what and how to get this stuff out easier??
I got the immediate on e day two Fridays ago. Six months of adjustments was included in the price. Still having trouble talking and chewing is still extremely hard to even try. Haven't picked out my permanent set yet. More money, but man I gotta believe the fit will be what I want most.
I already have my immediate And I love them they are my security Blanket two years and just got them repaired now in 3 weeks getting my final impressions and that's going to be 3 to 4 weeks so I'll keep my Temporaries in until then !! I'm ready I'm nervous
So grateful to listen to your experience and options available. Ok now to the technical. I am a video editor. On this recent video your audio sound levels do what I call "balloon" on every edit, very distracting. Each edit starts extreamly low and then ....." balloons" to what it should be however this is vey annoying with a thousand edits?.. I do hear similar only on some TV news programs. 99% of your videos DO NOT have this and is why I think it is due to a new editor or sound compressor you are using. It should be tweaked or not used at all. Love you stuff, quality , sound and your delivery, but what happened on this sound day? Ha! Thank you.
Yeah I noted that the sound was off in the description box. I have no idea why that happened! It's never happened before. But I had already recorded this same video last week and noticed when editing that I had a very prominent and distracting coffee ground on my lip hahahaha. So I had to scrap that one and re-record. When I edited this one and noticed the sound was off I was so over it lol. I always record on my iPhone because it's just super convenient. I have rode mics that clip to my shirt but I am really dumb with technology so I never really figured it out and the sound didn't sound much better. This is the only time I ever had this problem with sound. Sorry about that! I wasn't about to re-record it tho lol.

Anyone did all on 6 in Turkey? I am having my full mouth teeth remove today, I am still nervous 😬, not sure how painful it is, the IV sedation is not available this morning, so I have go with local anesthesia
I’ve told my dentist that my permanent upper denture is too small, but they keep trying to make adjustments. I keep buying my lip. I don’t have enough room in my mouth. I try to utilize my tongue to move my food around cause I don’t have a good bite. I can’t chew my food up Then I end up choking, but they keep wanting to make adjustments. Why can’t I just get a new set made
On week 3 of immediate and just went for my "soft" reline. My dentures are so huge and forward that i can barely close my lips and can't bring my lips together to drink from straws. My face is no longer swollen, but it always looks like it is because of the teeth resting right against my cheeks. I'm just so disheartened. I went the immediate route because i teach and couldn't go without teeth, but they look so ridiculous I should've just gone without.
I notice that you have a soft liner. Did you customize your perms to be the same fit as with the liner? Also did your immediates make your upper lip stick out? Thanks
I just got my bottom teeth out 4 days ago I’m freaking out cuz my face looks square around my jawline I dk if it’s because of swelling n no teeth or is my face guna stay this way I’m letting it heal with out dentures I go bk in 4 weeks jus very nervous n scared
I got immediate dentures. They made a mold of my teeth and sent them in for my immediate. I did not see them before extractions. After extractions and I woke up and looked at my teeth, I was sick to my stomach. I cried so hard for days. I thought my immediate denture would look like my original teeth. I thought they would use that mold as a guide to math my original teeth. My dentist and I got into a huge argument over that. They stuck out way too far and I look like I had a monkeys mouth. As my gums were healing I was able to come up with the money to have implants for an overdenture. The day I got my implants in, my surgeon actually took my immediate denture and drilled holes into the back of them and screwed those in to my implants permanently. I could not remove them to brush I just had to use a water pic. After my implants had healed, I went with the overdenture that I was able to help design them. They are still not like my original teeth and my smile looks nothing like it did before, but I have been OK with them. I have had implants with over denture for over five years now and still to this day, I cannot get use to all this stuff in my mouth. I feel like my mouth is just full of all these foreign objects and I still have a problem with my speech and certain words. I’m still very self-conscious over my mouth, but I finally got to a point that I could not, not smile anymore. I have always been a person who smiled all the time and I made up my mind. I was going to quit hiding my smile and I did, I’m glad I went with the immediate denture. I just could not imagine myself without any teeth whatsoever. I probably would have never left my house if that were the case. Plus, they came in very handy to have after my implants when they screwed them in permanently as my gums were healing. I was able to eat just about whatever I wanted without any pain.
Hi Kalin. Had all of my top extracted just under a month ago and have to say I’ve watched a lot of your videos and they have helped me through the process so thank you. My experience has been quite good so far and am pretty much eating normally already. The only issue I have is at night when I take them out. I still have most of my bottom teeth and when I go to bed I wake up several times in the night because my bottom teeth bite into my top gums. It’s getting quite annoying. Do you have any tips or know of anything I can use to ease the problem.
I went with immediate dentures and the most frustrating part is the thickness. I absolutely cannot eat with them. I feel nauseous because they are so thick and to add food to an already full mouth is a no go. Are the permanent dentures thinner?
I had made a comment on a video of yours awhile back telling you my story and you asked me to email you and I did but got no reply. However that's not what I'm commenting about now. I don't have much of a savings so I'm limited on what I'm able to afford. I would love to have implants but that will never happen. I'd even like to have the all on 4 or 6 but that to is out of reach. So is there different levels/ grades of dentures? I'm from Kentucky would you happen to know where I should go to check on getting full dentures that look as close to real at a affordable price? I had all remaining teeth pulled going on 2 and a half years ago. So I can't handle this depression anymore or embarrassment. Do you have any ideal what a full mouth denture would cost me that look nice? Sorry I'm all over the place.
Most dentists do offer several tiers of quality to fit the budget of the patient. Best to call around to local offices and ask what their options are. Most have websites now for their practice and smile galleries are really helpful in giving a good visual of what each option looks like. Dentistry has come such a long way in terms of quality and aesthetic. I have the Phonares II teeth from Ivoclar Vivadent and these same teeth are also able to be fit into a fully removable denture. Just have to make sure that the lab creating your denture is very skilled. It's an art, which means the better the quality, the higher the price tag. Hope this helps!
Hi, I wrote to you like 5 years ago, but didnt hear from you. Anyway i did have my upper extractions and a bottom partial that i do not use. The denture are horrible they don't fit and it made my mouth sink in. I have no upper lip.. 😢 they're so loose and the glue makes me sick. It hasnt been a good experience for me. I had some bone grafting done, but it got infected and they took it out. The teeth on the denture didn't look good they looked like little kids teeth. Ayyyyy I'm so depressed and disappointed. I've been through so much cancer, losing my hair not never grew back.. losing part of my breast. Its so hard. I would love to talk with you because i believe you might be able to help me to choose the right denture. Thank you.
Did you, anyone you know or anyone on here ever tried the SEA-BOND DENTURE ADHESIVE SEALS? I'm thinking about trying them. I'm worried the denture adhesive will make me sick. I already have enough stomach issues. I also know you can cut them to size. I need a smaller size because I have a small palate. Thank You for any information or suggestions.
I had my teeth extracted and immediate dentures put in for about a month now! My insurance is exhausted for the rest of the year so I have to wait until January of 2025 to get my permanent dentures! I can't even get any adjustments or relines on these "Immediate dentures!"
Why does one need to have extractions of you still have stubs" from a prior full bridge? Can they do an impression as is and have immediate dentures to fit over the stubby teeth?
Went with immediates with an immediate acrylic partial for the bottom. I couldn’t go without teeth. If I could do it over I would’ve just skipped the immediate partial. It doesn’t fit right even with adjustments. My dentist isn’t the kindest either. I can still eat fine without it.
I was worried about that too more than anything at first. BUT, the dentist can shave off the back of denture to make it so it doesn't gag you and then you'll get so used to it, it will feel normal. Just go little by little though because if they shave off too much, after you get used to the denture there can be more problems than gagging. The bigger they leave it, the better for suction and the teeth won't 'flip' up (if that makes sense?!).
I'm 2 months in with immediate dentures and got my first soft reline a month into wearing them and unfortunately that will be my online soft reline because they charged me $1200 for it which is absolutely ridiculous especially when I was told all adjustment were going to be included in my package. Knowing what I know now I would not do immediate dentures because they will be unwearable soon. Dentist should be ashamed of their self for how they over charge for adjustments. Being on a fixed income makes it impossible to continue getting the adjustments needed.
Are your dentures under warranty??? I adjust mine myself with finger nail file. I had spot on the bottom. That digging into my gums. I used finger nail file. Over the spot put it back in. It was still digging in and hurting. So I took it out and I used the finger nail file. On that spot little more. Put it in and they were fine. I had two spots on the top that I fixed too. Good channels for people that can’t afford adjustments and soft relines. Are Heather Denture Diva and Real life with Michelle and Rob. My husband and I are on fixed income so adjusting mine and doing soft relines myself. Are.my options. Just be careful and go slow.
I can't seem to get my dentist to listen to me. The top and bottom dentures are both way too long. They both go back way too far for me to open my mouth without either or both of them falling out. The top "roof" part gets in the way of my tongue and I can't talk at all without it falling out. I can't eat even jello with them in. I don't know what to tell them other than what I have already said, which is that they are too long at the back teeth, the "roof" part of the upper is in the way, and I've even tried to talk with them in, sitting right there in the office, and they'll fall out, and all the dentist will ever say is "you'll get used to it, it will be better". It's been damn near a whole year this process has been going on, and it hasn't gotten better. I haven't gotten used to them. I have to take them out to eat. I can't wear them at work, because I talk for a living. I am so filled with anxiety I can hardly stand this. What do I do? What do I tell these dentists that will make them listen and get this to work? How do people eat and talk with these things in? How do people get their dentists to listen to them to make them work? I am getting nowhere fast, spending money but getting nothing out of it. Help!
My journey with Denutres has been pure HELL! nSTarting with a dentist who minimises averything and even tells me its all in my head! Funny isnt everyones dentures in their head? 😕
I currently have the All-on-4 implants with Ivoclar Vivadent's Phonares II teeth. They are acrylic hybrid dentures, reinforced by titanium and the implants themselves are also titanium. They are only able to be removed by a prosthodontist. Hope this helps.
So I was medically clear to eat a lot more solid food today, christmas 2024 Which is a blessing! Because yeah, it's a real gift to eat solid on christmas... Of course, with that said, because I'm on immediate healing ventures, I can't really break down food. meaning trying to eat fish.It would smush, but not want to break down separate.. I could pull it off without the denture. In and my screwed on implants facilitated just nicely So thank godI didn't put myself in a public setting for a disappointment. I don't really know how to eat with. The final set on the strength that my doctor's office don't open, tell january 6 And prices have skyrocketed. $42,700 That's what I had to pay out of pocket for a healing denture, and uh, a screw down implant I'm looking at close to thirty five k for phase two.But yeah, loans are on the table for that number
I'm so miserable without dentures I didn't know much about dentures when I got my teeth cut out on April 30,2024 all I knew was I was getting all my teeth out that's all I cared about bc I just wanted to be without massive pain I didn't know about temp dentures until a wk after I got my teeth out. I wish I would have researched and then I could have paid out of pocket for temps until my medicaid paid for my perm set. But my insurance only pays for 1 pair of dentures for life .
I now have implants and my teeth cannot come out unless the dentist removes them but even when I had removable dentures I was never comfortable going without them in front of others.
Great video but this company is so weird, approximately three years ago I had emailed them about getting implants then somebody called me and told me that I had won some kind of contest. I remember submitting something I haven’t told my kids because there are no pictures of me with my kids smiling and we were all very excited that finally even though they were grown, mommy would have a picture with them smiling and the phone calls went back-and-forth for about a month getting everything ready and then out of the blue phone call stopped. I tried calling the number I had and it was disconnected, mind you, the woman I spoke with had me going and believing that this was gonna happen for over 10 months to find out it was just a joke when I did not find funny
Oh my, what a horrible prank to play on someone...the one or ones whom did such must have no idea what it means to be needing teeth, regardless of how many needed...out of many things in life, a full set of teeth are such a blessing to have, to be able to eat freely without aches, one does not know what others go through unless they are in their shoes. Am so sorry to hear that happened to you...lose not heart for this life on earth is not all there is to what eternity truly is and where no more aches and pains ever to be again. I do not know you and don't know if you believe in God, well more like Jesus whom God sent to be the Saviour of creation. If you already do, am so happy and that entails what was trying to say earlier, eve though this life on earth can be so trialsome, yet to know what awaits for children in God, there is comfort that surpasses words to be said, where even though there are not enough words to describe what awaits for believers in Jesus, yet there is comfort from God to face the day to day aches that are present, knowing the eternal life will be so amazing and having a new body and never aging, well it is the paradise dream that anyone dreams about but being in Christ, the dream is not just dream but will be reality, that is when this one on this earth comes to a close. Went on more than intended but wanted to say I am sorry and really hope that you know Jesus and if so, lay it in His hands for His comfort being the needed support to forgive the ones whom did such a prank of you, for they must truly not know what they did, even though they did know what they were doing while pranking. Anyhow, I am sorry and be comforted that your not alone in the mess of needing whatever being done for your mouth. Overall it could always be worse, as so many across the world have it much worse in other ways that am sure they would trade with our lives if they could. Bless you and your loved ones. 🤍
Google low income dental care the state and town you live in. There should be charities and clinics to call near you. I found clinic the charge for pulling them was based income. I had them pulled the beginning of March. Went without any teeth until I saved the $400. For the full set that I have that I bought online from Easy Dentures. What they found was not good. The infection already spread to bone underneath my teeth. Killing neighboring healthy teeth. I was awake just Novocain shot. They removed my teeth and pieces of damaged bone with them. Because I will never have the money for the bone grafting I would need. My time wearing my dentures will much shorter. The less people that end up like me the better. Please get them pulled.🙏🙏
Yes, I did. I am still very thankful for that. I really wish everyone could just get whatever they need to be happy. But in this video, I am only discussing the difference between immediate and conventional dentures because I also had removable dentures at one point so I do have some experience with them.
@@kalinjax Your experience of being such a young person and going through the process of starting out like most of us will is valuable information!! God blessed you on winning what you have ❤. Some people no matter how much valuable information you share with us, are still just miserable whiners. LOL I hope you’re blessed every day for the help and confidence you give us all. Thank you for your support and compassion!
Then you have conventional dentures like I do. Mine fit great and I can eat and smile. I ordered them online. Having dentures has changed my life. I feel happy and confident again. I feel bad for you that you didn’t have the same experience.
I realize not everyone has the good denture experience. That I did. Most of us will have removable dentures. Those of us with them now. Can advocate for those people who don’t have them yet. Or can’t afford them. Chewing is not luxury. Everyone needs access to affordable dental care. I chew just fine with my dentures. I will give you an example. Yesterday was the first time I had eaten out. I hadn’t saw my mom. Since I got my dentures the end of October. I ordered sweet and sour pork and egg roll.. I had fortune cookie also. My dentures stayed in place the whole time. So if you have the good fit that dentists or in my case online company. You can full happy life with dentures. I want everyone to have the same as I do.
Hey there! I have had my implants for 11 years now and knock on wood I haven't had problems with the actual implants. With my first set, they did become loose somehow but it was simply because the screws weren't torqued right.

Hi. I got immediate dentures. I'm so glad I did because, I couldn't go one day without teeth. When I take them out it ages me by 15 or 20 years. They never were a problem. They did a reline and I'm going back for another one and I may ask the dentist if it's time for permanent ones. It takes time to be able to talk with them. Ironically, they hurt and didn't fit at first. But after 3 elveoplastys to grind down The ridges where my teeth were, they do fit. You're right, it helps to understand what color you may like and what changes you may make. It is just like you said from the beginning. This is 90% mental. You go through a lot of ups and downs. I think about getting permanent screwed in dentures so I never have to wake up without teeth. Then, I wonder if they feel uncomfortable if I will feel stuck. Something tells me that snap in dentures aren't good. I don't really have a reason why. Maybe they're the best of both worlds. Thank you so much for sharing your journey with us. It helped to go into it with an understanding that I would not have had. 🩷
I think I'm gonna go with immediate also. Crazy stuff I never thought I would find myself having to watch these videos. Very helpful. I want to thank you for making these. Much love and respect 💯💯💯
Me neither!
Yes I'm doing the same thing to!! Never in my life had I ever thought I would be going through this but here I am 😢
God bless!!
Where do you get the denture cream? I am getting my upper teeth pulled in two weeks with an immediate denture. I am a little bit scared. 😔😭
I'm so glad the videos have helped! Best of luck to you. You got this!
Thank You So Very Much For Sharing This After Getting My Teeth Extracted
My Immediate Dentures Where Horrible They Where Incredibly Big I Couldn’t Eat With Them Or Talk With Them They Just Hurted.

Thanks for posting your experience. Infection & sepsis my thoughts too. Ty
Glad your experience was a positive one!
I’m so glad you’ve had a mindset shift! I think that’s probably the most important part of this. Best of luck to you!
May I ask , what insurance you have....and what the cost? If it is not too personal....I am 67 and so scared..of the process and how to pay.
May I ask you where you went to Mexico? And what was your total for your implants? Thank you.
@@mariasantiago2902 You misunderstood me... I am going for a new permanent upper denture to Aguascalientes Mexico to my husband's family July 1st. I am unsure of how much it will be but alot less than getting it done in the U.S.
I hope you love your permanent dentures. You definitely deserve too be happy with them.
Hope it gets better for you, as well!
Glad it worked out for you! So the price of your final set and all relines and adjustments was included in the $12k?
Kalin , thank you!!

I paid 77k ( cash ) for my procedure, I live in
Santa Barbara California, yeah I paid an extra 20k due to where I live , however, I love my new smile , I’m still healing , if all goes well, my permanents will land in my mouth around Christmas 🎄, thank you for the deep , deep , deep dive into a world that I didn’t know existed!!
Can I ask why you aren't you a candidate for implants?
@@mariasantiago2902 It has something to do with my bone density.
@lauralou9330 I think that's the same thing with me. We're they able to put implants after the bone grafting?
@@mariasantiago2902 the last scan I received the dentist was still not happy with my density, despite the graph. That was 2 years ago. I've gotten super used to my removable dentures and frankly I've not pursued the implant route. I may revisit it someday.
I get my dentures Friday and Im not worried because my dentist is the best she cares about her patience and makes you happy
thank you sooo much for this video!
Did you get implants? I’m very curious about them.
Gagging is a issue for me I don't what to do to make it better, immediate dentures suck
I’m new to all of this. This video explains it very well. Clear and concise. Thank you for easing my anxiety a little 👍
I am so glad I came across your videos recently ... my gosh where do I begin.. my first fitting for implants was yesterday.
@angelaschaefer5883 my mouth is extremely small. Child size would be really hard to find unfortunately
Hey thank you for sharing with us ❤❤❤❤❤❤
You're very welcome!
Im in the uk, the nhs hospital needs to take all roots out, i had beautiful teeth. Battling an e.d, amongst other things, made my teeth crumble. I have 2 very short teeth at front. Im getting pain in all diff areas of my mouth. I cannot get into a dentist anywhere to make tempory immediate dentures, then permanent ones. I dont have the money to go private, i cannot get into an nhs dentist. I feel so depressed , i dont go out, my mental health is getting worse by the day. I truly have no idea what im meant to do. Ive bad credit so , im stuck. Ive just fled a d.v relationship, , and its made me realise how much i want my life bk. Having no confidence and self esteem made me vunerable, it all has an impact. I know its an inside job getting my self worth built bk up, but i know its never going to happeb when i look like i do. Any ideas please help.
Are permanent dentures supposed to fit snug without adhesive if you have a full set up top
Anyone did all on 6 in Turkey? I am having my full mouth teeth remove today, I am still nervous 😬, not sure how painful it is, the IV sedation is not available this morning, so I have go with local anesthesia
Can you just use immediate dentures for the 4 months or so until you heal, then get conventional?
Yes, I believe so. As long as the dentist has cleared you for the final set, which really depends on your unique healing timeline.
That's was me Also I go after 2 years for my permanent in 3 weeks
My Eday will be end of August or beginning of October because of my work schedule.
Do they have offices around the USA, or is it different dentists that use their lab?
❤❤❤thank you for all you've done. Great info....❤❤❤
Hey Richard, good to hear from you! Hope you've been well!
I got immediate dentures 2 weeks ago I gag bad I'm wanting to horse shoe them
I want 4 on 4's, Who would you recommend, and what could I expect to pay? The dentist I saw wanted 60,000, and the surgeon wanted 30,000.
Went with immediates with an immediate acrylic partial for the bottom. I couldn’t go without teeth. If I could do it over I would’ve just skipped the immediate partial. It doesn’t fit right even with adjustments. My dentist isn’t the kindest either. I can still eat fine without it.
Do all dentures come with a molded pallet? That is a deal breaker for my friend. She said it gags her when she wears an appliance.
What did your conventional cost???
I made my own dentures out of tire rubber and field corn. People tell me my smile is addicting.
Can you make some for me 😂
the link is not working
I've been wearing my 'temporary' immediate dentures for 40 years...
I was going to get easy denture for temp and then.denture box
I want all on four from the get go, is that possible?
Yes, it is!
What do you have presently?
I currently have the All-on-4 implants with Ivoclar Vivadent's Phonares II teeth. They are acrylic hybrid dentures, reinforced by titanium and the implants themselves are also titanium. They are only able to be removed by a prosthodontist. Hope this helps.
So I was medically clear to eat a lot more solid food today, christmas 2024
Which is a blessing! Because yeah, it's a real gift to eat solid on christmas...
Of course, with that said, because I'm on immediate healing ventures, I can't really break down food. meaning trying to eat fish.It would smush, but not want to break down separate..
I could pull it off without the denture. In and my screwed on implants facilitated just nicely
So thank godI didn't put myself in a public setting for a disappointment.
I don't really know how to eat with. The final set on the strength that my doctor's office don't open, tell january 6
And prices have skyrocketed.
$42,700
That's what I had to pay out of pocket for a healing denture, and uh, a screw down implant
I'm looking at close to thirty five k for phase two.But yeah, loans are on the table for that number
I'm on day 15 with temporary dentures. And am able to chew meat.
Didn't you win lottery though for your dentures though?
4 to 6000 is a bit much for Temps tho
Can we see what you like with your dentures out?. I am convinced that you would still look just as stunning
I now have implants and my teeth cannot come out unless the dentist removes them but even when I had removable dentures I was never comfortable going without them in front of others.
@@kalinjax Like i said, you would still be just as stunning.
@@mickme8914 thank you!
My insurance will only pay for one or the other
Get the permanents if that is the case. I just went without teeth until I got my permanents. Mine fit well.
@angelaschaefer5883 how will I eat for 6 months
DId you worry about having to go to the hospital and having to remove your dentures??? Thats something that worries me...............MINDY
only for certain surgeries.
But you were lucky and won a full set of implants• Some of us aren’t as lucky
God bless bless bless you.
Thank you! God bless you, too!
@@kalinjax it hurts me to have no teeth.
I’m so sorry. Are you able to afford an economy set of dentures as a starting point?
I am 58. And have no teeth. Implants cause thousands of problems. Dumb idea.

Hi Carly! This is such a great, detailed review of your experience. Thanks so much for sharing!
How old are you
Are permanent dentures supposed to fit snug without adhesive if you have a full set up top
