Hi Dr. Choi, last month I had a tooth extraction on my right upper molar due to an abscesses failed root canal (I did not have a bone graft right after).Next to it is another root canal tooth which I think was affected during the extraction process because of all the maneuvering. Eventually the crown of the other tooth became loose and fell off (a month after) and it has very little structure left. Since that was the case I was opting to go with extracting it and plan to do dental implants instead of retreating it. Since my initial tooth extraction did not have a bone graft, the dentist advised me to do it after 4 months of healing. Now im in the situation of wanting to do the dental bone graft right after the 2nd tooth extraction. However, the dentist said it will be pointless to do it because I’ll be doing the bone graft of the other missing tooth so he said it should just be done at the same time. In the meantime he is advising to wait for healing after the extractions then do bone graft for both at the same time. But my feeling is I still want to do a bone graft right after the 2nd tooth extraction for socket preservation/more bone structure for the future dental implant. Needing your advise. Thank you.

@@northtexasdentalsurgery I found one of the vids in which you talk about mini implants basically being temporary and not adaptable to the specific needs of the patient's teeth. Thank you. When I first saw the minis I thought "wow, they seem like a great solution" but in retrospect after watching your vid, they don't make much sense. If they were a viable solution, implants would have started out that way.
@@northtexasdentalsurgery I wish you were in NY. As you mention in the vid, a good dentist you can trust is very difficult to find. If you can't answer the following question, I totally understand. I have a lower premolar which had a pretty bad cavity on the lower front area which was treated with a filling in 2017. In 2019, it became infected, and given the choice between root canal and an implant, I went with the root canal, mostly because I have an aversion to putting metal in my body and I think I might be allergic to nickel. Also, I asked the dentist if it would be okay not to put a crown on it. He was hesitant but willing to follow my wishes saying that particular tooth usually doesn't get much pressure put on it. In December 2022, the filling in that tooth from 2017 fell out. I realized this around two weeks after it fell out when I experienced similar symptoms from the infection. The symptoms subsided on January 7. But I saw a dentist on January 9 and another on January 31. I was hoping one of them would use a CBCT to see if there was another infection, one that a panoramic or other 2D x-ray might not pick up. One didn't have the machine, and the other said my insurance wouldn't cover it. He also said it wasn't necessary. Both couldn't detect any infection anywhere in my mouth. Both recommended a crown if not an implant, but both were willing to put just another filling. As I write this, the symptoms seem to be returning. Maybe the scaling nudged something the wrong way, and triggered another leak of some sort. My lower left wisdom tooth has an old metal filling and has a hairline fracture I'm also told. Maybe it's one or the other tooth, or both. All this to ask, would extracting both teeth, and not replacing the premolar with anything put me at great risk of bone loss or shifting teeth? I know you'd have to see my specific case, but just in general? I'm thinking a retainer at night, along with a guard against grinding, could help prevent shifting of the teeth. But I'm told I have bone loss here and there already, especially in the upper jaw. Sorry for the long winded background. Again, I would totally understand if you didn't even read it. Just taking a desperate shot in the dark. I don't really care about aesthetics. I just want to keep the rest of my teeth healthy. Thank you for your vids.
I do not understand why you don't do a vlog about traditional dentures. Your business offers that option and for some of us it is a better option. You never address this process in your clinic and I feel it's important to offer other options! Not everyone has the money for implants and why make them feel "less than" when dentures are such a great option. Also, some people just don't like the thought of having metal permanently in their body. Please do an upadate.
If you develop infection or implant failure. You will need dentist in the US to treat you. They will have no idea what materials were used. What training the dentist had in the country you went had. No thank you. I am getting removable dentures this fall. From dentist that is twenty minutes from my house. That I can see for adjustments and realignment. Making things easier and safer. I need teeth dentures are teeth. I don’t need implants. Hopefully you will consider what I am telling you. Not make any decisions that could have disastrous consequences. For you in the future.
Google low income dental care the state and town you live in. That’s what I did the charge was based on income. These places don’t give you dentures. In few years I will get dentures. Your teeth can’t be saved. They need to be pulled. My infection spread to bone in my jaw. It damaged the bone and pieces of it. Were removed along with the teeth.
Hello, Thanks for your videos. I had extraction and bone grafting yesterday. They put a flipper in temporarily. My doctor didn't tell the most important thing before letting me go. DO NOT RINSE YOUR TEETH. This is my first implant so I had no idea. I was bleeding so I took the flipper out when I got home and rinsed the crap out of it. I noticed that a piece of plastic/gel type thing came out. Is it bad and should I go back and tell my dentist? Never rinsed it after that and wearing the flipper piece. Still baffled how come the doctor never warned about this important thing.
All dentists are pushing implants now. What scares me is that dentists will lose the artistry of doing excellent dental work, like a bridge. I have a cracked tooth right now and all dentists have said extraction and implant. I've been to 5 dentists for an opinion. smh
I had traditional bridge for two missing teeth. It caused me no problems was easy to clean. Hopefully you can find someone to do it for you. I had it for 14 years.
They push implants because it's a money making business for them, price is outrageous it's about GREED!!!! That's why people go to other countries to have dental work done it's not Greed in other countries. USA is terrible for medical and dental prices!!! Just terrible!!!! GREED GREED !!!
No the bridge was fine. I had the tooth it was attached to. Get very decayed and infected. So the bridge was removed. Along with the rest of my natural teeth. As my of fact the dentist had hard time removing. The bridge that is how secure it was. My apologies for not explaining myself more clearly. Also not responding to you in timely manner.
I wonder what the ramifications of having titanium rods scred into the skull. Phonetics and Spiritual effects. Wisdom tooth Eye tooth etc wouldn't have such names if not related somehow to the brain the mind.
I just had all of my teeth pulled in February. I don’t have any teeth either. I ate hamburger and French fries on Tuesday for lunch. Small bites and eat slowly.

@ Candis. Agreed
Agree with you 100%.
There's a million videos on traditional dentures

Very informative thank you for your time,
What’s the cost overseas? I bet people can get implant bridges affordably in other countries.
I had a question about under bites, I would hate for that to transfer to dentures too :(
you can get rid of it with an All on 4. not with a snap on denture unless you did a lot of bone reduction and angled your implants signicantly
@@northtexasdentalsurgery ty for replying!!
How much is a all-on-four cost
Do they warranty if they are infection?
What is the best if you gums residing or lack of bone in jaw? Most teeth gone or decaying. Also can't afford it, is there any other options?
Google low income dental care the state and town you live in. That’s what I did the charge was based on income. These places don’t give you dentures. In few years I will get dentures. Your teeth can’t be saved. They need to be pulled. My infection spread to bone in my jaw. It damaged the bone and pieces of it. Were removed along with the teeth.
can you get a zirconia prosthesis for a lower snap on denture?
We’re can I get knew teeth I am old and need help
Very informative
Hello,
Thanks for your videos. Still baffled how come the doctor never warned about this important thing.
probably should go ask your dentist
All dentists are pushing implants now. What scares me is that dentists will lose the artistry of doing excellent dental work, like a bridge. I have a cracked tooth right now and all dentists have said extraction and implant. I've been to 5 dentists for an opinion. smh
I had traditional bridge for two missing teeth. It caused me no problems was easy to clean. Hopefully you can find someone to do it for you. I had it for 14 years.
@@angelaschaefer5883 , I got a dental implant back in August. No problems so far.
@@angelaschaefer5883 Did that bridge fail after 14 years ?? What was the problem ?
Completely agree
In future videos, please leave out the music. It is distracting noise to what is otherwise a good, informative video. Thank you.
You deleted my comment. Didn't like anyone questioning you about your prices, did you.
I never deleted your comment. what was your question exactly and I'll answer you right here.
i don't want braces and want excellent function
Do away with the background music. Makes it harder to hear and understand you.
My long time friend lost all his teeth and he doesn't care. He still eats hamburgers.
I just had all of my teeth pulled in February. I don’t have any teeth either. I ate hamburger and French fries on Tuesday for lunch. Small bites and eat slowly.
Honestly, Dr. you are missing an opportunity to give important information. You sound like rambling…
Seriously… a Lamborghini as an example for patients who need All on Four or dentures?
Where is the compassion and sincerity?
Turn off the music and speak to the public like a professional.
