What I don't like about Ginger's getting stuff underneath them. That hurts really bad when that happens and when you're out in public. You can't just take your Dentures. How can rinse them off?
Did your implants change your voice at all? I’m in a very similar position than you, oddly similar, but music is so important to me and I want to be able to sing the same don’t care so much about speaking but sing. Also , married, but can you feel when you kiss? I can’t find these answers anywhere. Please
How likely is it that we would find dentists that would leave those tooth roots in? I am just about ready to let my teeth finish breaking off, and get some do it yourself dentures, reline them myself, etc. so that I can keep my roots. Because I don’t want to lose that bone. I’d rather have a dentist cleanly file them off, etc. so it can be healthy/healthier. But I’m wondering if a dentist would just scoff at that idea? Or is it a common thing that dentists might do?
😢😢😢😢I’m never gonna be able to chew or feel normal again!! 😭😭😭😭 don’t even have the money to do it I’m such a failure 😞 I have bone loss for sure and hardly any teeth
Google low income dental care for adults. The state you live and the town you live. There will be list of dentists you pay according to your income. So they can pull your teeth. Leaving the infection untreated. Can be life threatening. Please get those teeth pulled. You can get dentures online. The set I am going to get from Etsy is $200. That is a lot of money. But there are ways to figure that out later.Your life is not replaceable. Teeth can be real be replaced. You are not A loser. You don’t have a lot of money. I don’t either. I hope you feel better soon.

In the Netherlands dentures is free of cost . The basic health insurance about 180 euros every month included this even implants . Even rebase reline . Also removing teeth.
Great. Great video Kalinjax! YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY AN EXPERT xx🥰💐👏🏻💯 1- Yes, absolutely, studies have shown that within 3 months of extraction, bone loss is up to 50% of the total bone loss that occurs after extraction. This becomes more and more noticeable as the denture becomes more loose and the more denture "Glue" has to be used 2- Immediately after surgery, the swelling makes the denture "stuck", but then, they don't fit anymore as the swelling subsides. That's why a reline is necessary within 2-3 weeks. 3-Within a couple of years, the dentures become way too big and need to be replaced within one year or even earlier if the shrinking is important. 4-Once the Denture is converted or replaced by implant supported bridge, you're absolutely right that space has to be present between the bridge and the gum so that you can use waterpik to clean. if you don't have space, your bridge design is not ideal, and has to be re-adjusted 5- Absolutely, absolutely right: you definitely experience facial loss of volume when you switch from denture to implant bridge, because the denture flanges or "borders" act as a facial filler because it gives support to the cheeks and lips. Once this is converted to implant bridge, the bridge is much smaller and does not have the Flanges that support the face, so the face looks a little gaunt if the person is thin to begin with.... Over-denture might solve the problem for thin people, and it's a trade-off, because over-denture is removable. Some patients are not ok with a removable denture, even for a day. Others are comfortable with the process. 6- The lower bone loss is usually more important than the upper bone. That's why the right treatment at the right time is PARAMOUNT!!!! 7-Sometimes, very few residual teeth are left in the mouth and sometimes they need to be removed in the context of implant rehabilitation, but exactly right, they should not be removed before because they cause bone loss Bravo Kalinjax!! You are incredible xx🥰💐👏🏻💯
You have no idea how much your videos have helped me. It will be two weeks Monday since my full mouth extractions and I am wearing my temp dentures. The top no problem, the bottom is a different story all together. I can wear the bottom denture, but they are bulky, and it is hard to talk with them in, so if I know that I am going to be talking more then I will take them out. I am now dealing with the phycological stage of having my teeth removed. I had no choice, because over the past several years I have had major tooth decay, it started in the back, then it started moving to my front teeth, I could smile but I learned how to smile without showing all of my teeth. I will tell you more about how I was blessed to have the work do0ne so far that I needed. I could have never afforded it myself, that is where the greatest part of my story comes in. I will share later on. I go in next week to have my stitches removed and then hopefully I will get a realign sooner rather than later. I am healing really well, and my dentist has said that I could possibly get my permanent denture in a few months depending on the healing. I am getting discouraged though about the bottom set. I just want to thank you for sharing your story and for passing on the great info, you are giving so many of us hope that there is light at the end of the tunnel. We are all in this together!
I couldn't agree more about trying to save ANY teeth you can! It blows my mind that so many young girls have their teeth pulled so that they can get dentures and/or implants! If you can help it , keep your own teeth, life will never be the same without them! I had mine taken out at 28 due to very similar story to yours except bulimia brought the damage on. I really wish I'd tried to save as many as possible, it's been sheer misery. Now at 53, I'm finally able to get the hybridge but I'll need a total of 11 implants, a sinus lift w/bone grafting I guess is what it's called but it's taking 47 K to do it. Please anyone thinking of doing this for "cosmetic" purposes, you're beautiful/gorgeous just as you are. As far as this lovely girl that has really put herself out there, thank you from the bottom of my heart! I found you about 4 years ago and you've really lifted a lot of down spirits 😘🙏🏻 wish me luck, as I'm terrified about tomorrow morning - good luck with love to all !
@@kalinjax hi! I'm pretty good I suppose. Ended up taking so long to put SO much bone with the sinus lift that he didn't touch the lower. So in 4 mths., fingers crossed, I'll be on to the implants ! Thank you & I will update 😊
I just found you on UA-cam! My teeth were pulled last December. I am still struggling with my dentures! My bottom denture is a permanent one, but my top intermediate denture was turned into a permanent one! I feel like I have so much plastic in my mouth it is difficult for me to eat! When the denture’s they but in after my extractions felt natural and I had no trouble eating once the swelling got better. I could taste food! I can’t taste food with the way my top denture was changed. I have gone back to the dentist repeatedly over the past year trying to get comfortable with my dentures! I am at a loss on what to do now! Thank you for your videos! Hearing about your experience is helping me!
You have a gift, you can explain things in a very understandale way. the fact that you went thru this change inspires confidence and belief in your statements. Cant thank you enough, i almost gave in to a very insistent dentist on puling all my teeth prematurely. I am 64 now and will keep my teeth as long as possible . THANK YOU
I really appreciate all the information on your channel, that you deliver with such kindness, compassion and love. It really reflects what a lovely person you are, and all the pain and suffering that you (and all of us who have lived with dental suffering for years) have been through. I don't know how old your mom is, but it seems most people aren't aware that Medicare/Medicaid covers dentures (new set every few years unless damaged in which case they will replace before), extractions, bone grafts etc. I think it would be a great topic for a video as most insurance providers or the government DO NOT make this information readily available. I think that if people are younger but are low income and qualify for food stamps, they are also eligible for medical/dental benefits.
I have medicaid & Medicare. Had it in NY where I grew up, now here in Arizona. Currently looking into if & what is covered in this state. I've found alot of things that were covered in NY, are not always covered in Arizona. I think it depends on the state & what that state allows?
Today I had my first consultation with my dentist for dentures. When I was told It would take three months for my gums to heal I was really worried mainly because I don’t want to go back to work all gummy however listening to you has given me hope…Thank you
i wish someone had told me 30 yrs. ago-if you have any good teeth-keep them and only get partials, not full-i have partial on the bottom but a bad dentist pulled GOOD top teeth-i'd give anything to have them back and only a partial on top
This was very helpful! So thankful to hear all of the great info & experience from an actual denture wearer. Doesn't seem so scary now that we know what to expect. Having your old dentures for props gave us a real visual compared to just words from a dentist. You are so kind! Hope you are having a wonderful day.💜
After extracting mine a yr ago, went with 4 mini-implants (and a reline) my dentist told me not to use Polident (those alka-seltzer like deals) anymore as it will start eating/etching away at the acrylic, to just use when soaking overnite, white vinegar an water and wash 'em in dish soap when cleaning; so they willl keep that polished look. You were lucky enough to have the bone structure for the larger implants and a good dentist who cared about how it all worked out for you. Pertinent posts good job.
Yes, I was also given the same info. Dish detergent really does keep them nice and clean and it’s not abrasive. The thing about the all-on-4 is that they are placed at an angle, rather than straight in, so even those with heavy bone loss would benefit. Still crazy expensive, unfortunately. Hopefully we will see the day that it is covered under insurance. Thanks for watching, Sam!
@@kalinjax unfortunately my dentist after going over the x-rays felt I didn't have the bone structure (because of my sinus cavities) even had two of the rearward mini's fail in the 1st week they had to be moved 5mm forward. He snatched em out and I said I thought you'd unscrew em and he said you don't want to go thru that it would hurt worse, oh well.
Thank you so much I’m getting immediate dentures in a month after the extraction of all my teeth when my gums heal I’ll be getting implants this was very helpful really appreciate you ❤❤❤❤
Love your videos. I am going thru the all-on-four stage as nothing was keeping the lower ones in (tried all kinds of adhesive). Please let your viewers know that sometimes you may not be a candidate for the these - fixed or snap on. Over the years with all the bone loss and trying to preserve my teeth (had periodontal disease for the longest time until it finally was getting better), when I finally decided to get dentures, I know cannot get the upper done (all-on-four). They did the lower ones (6 implants) but will need to stay with regular dentures for the upper. Will get the permanent uppers in a few months, and the Zirconia for replacing the lower fixed ones as they are temps until the implants heal (4-6 months). Maybe I waited too long to finally get dentures. Just sometimes its better not to wait too long.
She is soo...young to be wearing denture...she has gone through alot for so young...great shame to have all teeth removed...and bone loss...soo..important to brush teeth, flush and cleaning..from a young age...poor young lady and soo attractive ...and very honest.
You're so pretty AND YOUNG, so it's worth any problems/amount. Too much dental is considered "cosmetic". It's a necessity and confidence booster. They need to make it more affordable.
Ive been watching your experiences with dentures. I have very few teeth left at all and have lost a lot of bone already, im about to get full top and bottom dentures and hope i can take to them ok. Thankyou you are a godsend.
I watched your 9 yr old videos, and you look so much healthier, altogether!! Your natural beauty is so much better. You obviously feel much better and you look beautiful!
Your videos help me prepare for my journey. Sometimes this can be depressing. And without you talking About it, it would be worse. Thank you for helping people get thru this.
I’m so happy I can help! I understand that feeling. It’s so scary and isolating but trust me, way more people than you realize are going through this same exact thing!
I would have done what you have done but because I'm diabetic it is a different path... bone grafts don't heal properly with diabetics and will break off sooner or later, so I'm having to do full uppers and partial on bottom... I had a commitment issue, so I don't get my last 5 til pulled til November. I'm so glad I found you and appreciate you sharing your experiences ❣️
After everything you know now, would you choose an over denture just to fill out your face more? You look amazing, just curious since you mentioned it. Thanks! Keep doing what you're doing! Bless you ;-)
Hi how are your partials fitting presently ? Are they the kind that needed to be permanently screwed on or snap on or put on? I’m so upset I got some of my teeth extracted only to realize how much bone loss occurs within the first three months .
I struggle between fixed and removable. I like removable for easier cleaning and I could monitor the implants. I’m worried Waterpik won’t properly clean underneath and it will stink if I get it fixed. Removable might be wear out the attachment overtime though because it’s in/out. What to do?
That’s why I would rather save or try to get implants instead of dentures, I know that’s not always a option or what so ppl want to do, the sad part is the cost of implants is not “Affordable” no matter what they say, it’s so overpriced. The time and cost of having them reclined and the feeling of something in the roof of your mouth and bone loss. The benefits of implants of bone growth is definitely a plus, I just don’t understand why they don’t put some type of artificial track or something to fill that space from were the root and bone meets to help promote bone growth in that area when they pull all your teeth especially when you are getting dentures. I just don’t understand why they don’t do that even when you have any extractions. Thank you for sharing.
Its been a long time since I looked at your channel from your very first video way back up to the contest. I have gotten 2 bottom molars extracted over 3 years ago. I don't have my 2 molars replaced. They told me implants but they are too expensive. I will have 2 more molars taken out in the future on the top because one of them is coming out. Since looking at the video I may have a 2nd opinion. Thank you for posting the video.
Welcome back! Yeah, My molars were removed when I was 15 and the bone loss was very prominent, even back then. All of my teeth started to sort of fall in, due to the space let from the missing molars. If they can save those roots, that's the best bet. I believe a partial can even be made to go over them so there's something to keep the rest of your teeth from becoming mobile. Good luck!
I appreciate you so much darling give me stuff to think about and I feel you are an expert because alot of these dentist just want to make their money and for you to get out of their face and answering question you give detail God bless you 😊❤
Thanks so much! I’m glad you find them helpful! Yeah, they need to really work on just straight up explaining what’s happening. It’s often times very brief, clinical talk that flies over our heads in the moment when we are full of anxiety. A no bs pamphlet or a blog to follow with someone to provide answers would be super useful. If only we had something like that in 2021 🤣
I got my dentures back in 2018 and I went in knowing nothing! I paid $8000 for mine and they were what you call temporary but I was told these were permanent and exactly what you said would happen is what did happen to me! They hurt me so bad, even after my gums healed I couldn't eat with them - I went back several times had to get them realigned and they are still too big and my bone loss on the bottom has left me unable to wear my bottom teeth. I was never able to eat with them, my face has completely changed, I just sit and cry all the time because I'm not myself. I went through a divorce after 21 years and I'm afraid to even meet anyone new- I can't eat out in public because no way am I taking my teeth out in a restaurant and how could I ever explain to someone that I can't go out to lunch or dinner... My quality of life is ruined, I've become completely isolated. Your teeth look beautiful on you, I would never know that you have dentures. Because of the way they fit (or DON'T FIT) My speech is messed up, the glue dries out my mouth, and I wish I never got these things... My mouth is really small and it's exactly as you said - feels like a hockey puck in my mouth. Being on my own I can't afford to get implants or even a new pair of regular dentures. Maybe in the future they won't be so expensive, hahaha ( yeah, right!) But thank you so much for your videos- I just love you- you've helped me realize I'm not the only one with these problems - It sounds like your mom and I have a lot in common. I live alone so I usually just don't wear them ( I have to avoid mirrors when I don't have them in! Talk about hideous) Anyway, thanks again and keep making videos!
I started my Journey May 31st of this year. Just as you said in that 2nd week, immediately I needed my immediate dentures adjusted. They remade the top ones cuz it was really big to a point that my mouth was unable to close. My mouth is small so when they took the impressions before my extractions the tops were the most difficult to get. They tried 4 times. My bottoms got the soft liner when my top immediate dentures were being remade. It’s only been two weeks since that happened and my bottoms already don’t fit. Like they are digging into my cheeks and the gum area under my tongue and I can’t seal them to my gums without pain or them popping up. So I wear them unsealed and take them out when I eat and give myself a day or two of not wearing them so I don’t develop bad sores. I go back Aug. 28th for my implants as I will be wearing snap ins on the bottoms and comfi-lytes on the top as my permanent situation. I would have loved to get permanents or snap ins for both top and bottoms, but this is what I can afford now. So hopefully in the future that will change and I can have exactly what I want. Still the confidence I have gained back is worth it!
I had bone graft because of the bone loss. I did a lot of research before I decided to do it. The dentist put two bone grafts on each side of the upper and two on the bottom front teeth. I didn't want to get that sunken in look as I age. Yes it was 350 for each bone graft, no I'm not getting implants, I have a partial on the bottom, and full denture on top.
Thank you for all your videos! I’m trying to figure out when to take off work to get my teeth fixed. Mine are horrible. You’re so beautiful by the way! I live about 30 minutes away from Jacksonville. Hopefully I can find a dentist there that takes liberty insurance lol.
Hey neighbor! I’m seeing Dr. Ryan at Parkway Prosthodontics in Jacksonville. She does accept insurance but you’d want to call to make sure she takes Liberty. Best of luck to you!
I've been struggling with the shame and anxiety about needing a lot of dental work and likely dentures/implants. Your videos have been incredibly helpful and I just want to give a big THANK YOU. ❤
I'm about to start my denture journey and I'm truly terrified I had to take Bisphosphonates due to a stage 4 lung disease and my teeth have disintegrated due to steroids. I am having 7 teeth removed on 17th November 2023. I always have massive roots on my teeth due to my calcium rich diet. I am very sick with my lung disease anyway and I also have insulin dependant diabetes due to steroids too. I'm really worried that I won't be able to eat properly which is really, really bad in view of my diabetes. I am having acrylic partial dentures top and bottom. I am really, really worried about bone loss and bone necrosis. My cats hassle me too btw
What do you recommend for the denture cream to keep dentures in. Polygrip is too gummy. I need the better set but having major surgery so that will delay it for at least 3 more months. I have had the so called temp set for 3 years. They seem really good but I am sick of denture cream. I can no way afford snap in or full implants. My dentures are fine. Also I also have some bone coming out of a spot where tooth was. Uggh!!!
Hello - just discovered you today and watching all your helpful videos. I am curious if you were able to have all on 4 right away instead of your 2 sets of removable dentures (temp/perm) would your face look different? More bone preserved? I am curious why dentists can't put in implant like structures to preseve bone for people can't afford the all on 4 right away, so they have to get removable dentures too but then when they have money for all on 4 they have the implants that preserved the bone loss... ?
I think the bulk of the cost is the implants, themselves. I won my implants in a contest two years after I became a denture wearer but if I did have the money, I probably would have opted for the implants up front. And I’m not saying that would have been the best decision… I just thought that implants were way better than dentures…. And they are, in my opinion. But I feel like I allowed everything to heal long enough that I never had issues with the implants. I was able to quit smoking and I’m sure whatever caused my teeth to rot away in the first place was gone by the time I had implants. I just think my mouth was in a much healthier state after going the denture route, first.
From everything I've been learning, being so lucky to get implants done from the beginning reduces bone loss. I'm stating the obvious by saying it's such a shame (almost crime) that implants weren't affordable from the start of tooth loss. There are plenty of people experiencing tooth loss for reasons that have nothing to do with poor hygiene. I live in an area where I've brought up techniques that are common in most bigger cities and am told "we don't do that or it's not possible". Bone loss is so destructive. Our entire body is impacted by tooth loss. I can't chew solid food and to be blunt... visits to the bathroom aren't pleasant or frequent do to poor digestion. My diets poor and lacks variety because of this and the auto immune disease that's caused the tooth loss. Erosive sores make sure I can't eat much food with any flavor. Oral health issues diminish life dramatically
Thanks, Susanne! You would think I know this guy now but I’m always forgetting! I believe they are B4 but Ivoclar’s tooth shades are slightly different than the standard because they are layered and so while they aren’t as bright as the standard B4 shade, they are a more natural looking white that absorbs the light, rather than bouncing it off like a reflector.
Is it better to save those “few teeth” left or to get implants? How about implants with bone grafting? I’m terrified to pull mine but I would definitely do implants with bone grafting
Years ago, a dentist put crowns on my front bottom teeth. He built them up high presumably for a better bite. Unfortunately that caused too much "force" on these teeth and they became unstable. I still had 5 salvageable teeth on the bottom but I thought I'll just get 4 implants and a snap on denture and be done with it all. So sorry/huge regret. Wish I had got 3 or 4 individual implants and then possibly bridged those to the other teeth. Save whatever you can and work with that. It changes the way you chew, the way your faces ages. It's awful. If you're terrified for implants like I was, have them put you to sleep.
So you have implants now? You didn't stay with the dentures? Or did you get implants that dentures snapped onto? My bone loss is so bad that I have no ridge at all at the bottom. I've had dentures for years. I don't understand how my mom had her teeth pulled at 14 and had just dentures and she had good bone in her mouth and died with the original set of dentures at 81 years old. My problem is I have bad chemical sensitives and I react badly to all drugs and worry I cannot have bone graft surgery and what happens when I have no bone left and can't eat? My face has shrunk a lot. I've had mine for about 30 years. It worries me a lot. They also told me about bone grafting and since I react to everything with medicine I worry about any surgery not being able to take anything. I had a dentist tell me when I first got my set almost 30 years ago, that I had the bone loss of a 70 yr old and now look how many years later. I worry about trouble swallowing. My dentures have a thinner ridge than the ones you showed, my bone is flat on the bottom of my mouth, there is no ridge now. Also, if there was a way to have bone grafting, they told me it would be a year before I could have anything but liquid. I have reactive hypoglycemia and have to eat often and certain foods. I have allergies to a lot, so stick to foods that agree. I couldn't go a year without food like they told me I would have to do.
Yes!! By the year 2023; two sets of dentures? Implants with all swelling? Which alloy was used for this procedure!! Because this swelling could happen with other types of implants including tong.
I've had interest for about 9 years now and I never swelled like that but I'm blessed because I hail fast. My Denis was amazed on how fast I heal but I have had bone lost but I really liked to think about getting implant. It's so uncomfortable to try to kiss somebody like my husband it's really Funny it's just not the same when I try to kiss him.
Hi I have a question, do you have to have dentures day of extraction? Could you go without teeth and let the healing process continue. And then have a nice fitting over dentures made? TY..
Great question. Yes, that’s traditionally the popular way. A lot of benefits in going that route, particularly, allowing your gums to heal and get a better fit. But for those who do not want to or can’t go without teeth, immediate dentures are an option but cause significantly more problems than waiting for the gums to be healed before fitting.
New to your channel. I'm facing my 2nd extraction and I have significant bone loss from the previous one done 5 yrs. ago. So, with your bone loss you didn't need to have bone grafting done? I'm trying to decide what to do with these two missing molars (lower left & lower right).
What are hybrids? I’m trying to make a case for medical necessity implant supported upper denture. I have autoimmune disorder- psoriatic arthritis (triggered most likely after chemo in 2012) and it would appear that my crazy issues with mouth sores I thought from medication I take for the inflammatory arthritis. But I had a crazy idea that perhaps it’s “oral psoriasis” and I googled it on whim. It’s actually a THING!? So Rheumatologist is already on board with medical necessity due to me having dysphasia (EoE), Sjorgen’s and just a miserable world in there behind my lips! So I’m thinking that to keep the roof of my mouth unencumbered, my gums and tongue sores un-aggravated by removeable dentures and to avoid the bacteria accumulation in the nooks & crannies due to no saliva it would see that an implant supporteddenture would be good but I really don’t know! I’m only just exploring this because I have a big see thru hole in my front gum over my 6 tooth bridge. I’m disabled, on soc sec disability and almost 62, and the dental insurance they gave us Medicare folks is an insult. A root canal with crown would be $1,169. WITH insurance! Anyhow here I am utterly lost but also so grateful to you for doing this channel with such candor! You are gorgeous. Thank you for the support & information you provide. ❤️
How about bone grafts? I had all-on-4 implants 12 years ago. However, now the bone around my all 4 implants lost quite a lot so doctor wants to extract implants, add bone and put shorter implants back. Have you see anyone had these procedures?
I had 2 sinus lifts. The bone was taken from my hip and my bum(sorry) I was missing both my back molars and had significant bone loss. I've had 6 implants installed in the top and bottom. I'll show my finished work here in 6 months
@@KaKa-kv8tb Depends on your own individual situation. Most times you can get the implant done a couple of days after the extraction. Also depends on your particular budget. I myself have 24 zirconium crowns. All on 4 is a much cheaper alternative and an excellent choice if you have gum disease. I wish you all the best.
@@darthvader78441 thanks for the reply!,, but i was asking the number of years you were missing those teeth before the implant and before having an implant, what was your alternative before? Like partials?
@@KaKa-kv8tb I was missing my back molars for around 4 years. The bone had been reabsorbed into the gum line. I never had partials. I hope this clears things up.
Im a young woman in my thirties and have been told by my dentist that I have paradontitis, so sad.. is possible to the the all 4 in one denture, with that gum disease?
So it’s better to get implants as soon as possible after tooth loss correct? Would that prevent bone loss from happening if you went right to implant dentures vs regular dentures?
The sooner, the better. Yes. But with the all-on-4, your bone loss has to be extreme for you to not be a candidate. The way they place the implants at more of an angle makes most people able to get them.
I appreciate your videos but i'm a little confused i have surgery coming up in a month for the whole top and lower jaws, six implants up top and six implants at the bottom, 12 teeth up top and 12 teeth at the bottom, is there a danger i could suffer bone loss? I have paid the ten per cent deposit... i am so worried. i have lost most of my back teeth either side at the top.. i was hoping implants would fill my face out again?
Worse come to worst, what is the most costly expense (or at least, the price range) for people to expect when they loose most/all of the dental bone (both upper/lower)? Before anyone hoping for a permanent dental implant Thanks for your help.
As someone who is just starting this journey at 32 (my first consultation is next week on the 17th) what do you recommend? My teeth are horrible & most are broken off to the gum. Most of my teeth will have to be surgically removed like yours. I had someone recommended “all on 6” versus 4? I’m still so confused by it all.
I don’t have experience with the all-on-6 but the all-on-4 has definitely worked for me. Dentures were better than my teeth. Heal your mouth however you can and go from there!
How did you get on? ... i'm 48 male UK.. due surgery in one months time... i'm having six implants at the top and six at the bottom. So worried and scared.
@@markjohnson8824 All on 6 Mark.. a UK company did mine called Evo Dental I had mine done in Leeds and I can honestly say it's one of the best decisions I have ever made. I was struggling to eat a lot of foods but now a couple of months on it's like I've discovered food for the first time, I have never eaten so much. The other plus is that I have stopped smoking too. To anyone having doubts like I did just go for it, and I would recommend Evo Dental to anyone genuinely.. it cost me 20k and then some but it was worth every penny. I go back in to have the permanent ones in on the 8th of June as these are the temporary teeth.. but to be honest they are perfectly fine.
My Dentist has told me I have bone loss and need to take it from my hip for a graft this terrifies me. Is it possible to do regular dentures with bone loss without bone grafts
In the beginning I was biting my tongue, I was biting the inside of my mouth, and complaining to the dentist! He said take smaller bites and chew slow, he was right. It's been over a year now, and I can eat anything. I have a friend who takes her teeth out to eat! I talked about this to my dentist, he said that it's the worst thing you could do and she's losing more structure to her gums. Not to mention she is making her gums really sore.
Not just that, eating on your gums long term can cause extensive damage to your body internally. People end up with colon and bowel issues, heart problems and constant infections as it degrades your gum line even more
Hey! Implants and a hybrid will not give additional support that wasn't there to begin with. But if you haven't already lost much bone, the implants can certainly preserve what you have.
Kalin, I just got all my teeth extractions on the top and I am getting a fixed zirconia bridge. But he put on a temporary in the meantime it is very big and bulky and I hate it. Is that normal? How did your temporary feel?

What I don't like about Ginger's getting stuff underneath them. That hurts really bad when that happens and when you're out in public. You can't just take your Dentures. How can rinse them off?
Did your implants change your voice at all? I’m in a very similar position than you, oddly similar, but music is so important to me and I want to be able to sing the same don’t care so much about speaking but sing. Also , married, but can you feel when you kiss? I can’t find these answers anywhere. Please
As a dentist, I am really impressed how accurate the info you convey is. Good work!

Beacause you are greedy
In the Netherlands dentures is free of cost . The basic health insurance about 180 euros every month included this even implants . Even rebase reline . Also removing teeth.
I am from SA and I need implants
Great. Great video Kalinjax! YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY AN EXPERT xx🥰💐👏🏻💯
1- Yes, absolutely, studies have shown that within 3 months of extraction, bone loss is up to 50% of the total bone loss that occurs after extraction. This becomes more and more noticeable as the denture becomes more loose and the more denture "Glue" has to be used
2- Immediately after surgery, the swelling makes the denture "stuck", but then, they don't fit anymore as the swelling subsides. That's why a reline is necessary within 2-3 weeks.
3-Within a couple of years, the dentures become way too big and need to be replaced within one year or even earlier if the shrinking is important.
4-Once the Denture is converted or replaced by implant supported bridge, you're absolutely right that space has to be present between the bridge and the gum so that you can use waterpik to clean. if you don't have space, your bridge design is not ideal, and has to be re-adjusted
5- Absolutely, absolutely right: you definitely experience facial loss of volume when you switch from denture to implant bridge, because the denture flanges or "borders" act as a facial filler because it gives support to the cheeks and lips.
7-Sometimes, very few residual teeth are left in the mouth and sometimes they need to be removed in the context of implant rehabilitation, but exactly right, they should not be removed before because they cause bone loss
Bravo Kalinjax!! You are incredible xx🥰💐👏🏻💯
Another great comment with pertinent information. Thanks so much for your continued support!
Can you elaborate more on number 6?
Hope you are doing well, i go for implants in a month and i have never been so scared in all my life.
Wow, best of luck to you!! You got this!
@@kalinjax Thank you ! You are absolutely gorgeous 🥰
@@rmarvel169 thank you! Please let me know how it goes when you are up and able! 🍾🎉🍷🥳♥️👏
@@kalinjax hi! I'm pretty good I suppose. Ended up taking so long to put SO much bone with the sinus lift that he didn't touch the lower. So in 4 mths., fingers crossed, I'll be on to the implants ! Thank you & I will update 😊
Come to eastern Europe and have same job done for 10k but you will need to travel fee times to do this
I just found you on UA-cam!
I had all my teeth pulled 10 days ago and i honustly wish i had any of this explained to me at the time. Thank you for the video!!
THANK YOU
And you are an foolish to believe what is talking
Your teeth looks great I would've never known there was a problem.
@@alwaysdonnie72 My dentist advised against losing my bottom teeth they were fixable.
This was very helpful! So thankful to hear all of the great info & experience from an actual denture wearer. Doesn't seem so scary now that we know what to expect. Having your old dentures for props gave us a real visual compared to just words from a dentist. You are so kind!
Hope you are having a wonderful day.💜
Thanks so much for the feedback! Glad you enjoyed. ❤️
Love your channel! Hearing your first hand experiences puts a lot things in a real perspective of before, during, after and in-between. Thank you!!
So good to hear different experiences...suffer altogether....looks like implants are still good ,even though expensive and hate tooth being extracted.
Hey Kal, You're a f*****g trip! No shittt. You're helping a lot of people who are crawling slowly thru hell.
Thank you Jeff 🙏
This video was very helpful and informative. I'm in the process of getting a full set of all in four dental implants.
And without you talking
About it, it would be worse.
Poor, young lady,..she has been through hell....all good advice to everyone...especially about bone loss.
After everything you know now, would you choose an over denture just to fill out your face more? You look amazing, just curious since you mentioned it. Thanks! Keep doing what you're doing! Bless you ;-)
II recently got partial dentures. Interestingly, my dentist mentioned that I was one of the few patients he was actually glad to have wisdom teeth
Hi how are your partials fitting presently ? Are they the kind that needed to be permanently screwed on or snap on or put on? I’m so upset I got some of my teeth extracted only to realize how much bone loss occurs within the first three months .
Thank you, thank you, thank you. This was so very helpful.Bless you for sharing your journey.❤
Thank you for doing these videos... I've learned a lot watching you explain everything.
Is the 2nd set after immediate included in initial pricing? Or did you have to pay separately for the permanent set?
OMG so so Educated. I having some teeth Problem.
Your teeth are so beautiful and natural. What is that shape/style called? I really love them.
Good luck!
for the algorithm your channel is a great help thankyou
Do you still have the Golpa implants titanium screws or posts
Very detailed and most helpful. Thank you.
So I can get bone grafting some even without implants ? I have a full
Set oh dentures . Got em a year ago and I already notice bone loss :(
You truly help me, make my mind up on which way to go in my decision. Thank you!!!
Best of luck to you!
@@kalinjax Aw thanks girl! I will definitely look into it. Thank you so much!
I've been struggling with the shame and anxiety about needing a lot of dental work and likely dentures/implants. Your videos have been incredibly helpful and I just want to give a big THANK YOU. ❤
I'm about to have my top teeth removed. Hoping I will have denture implants by 6 months but listening to you I'm not convinced.
Where did you go for your implants
I'm about to start my denture journey and I'm truly terrified
I had to take Bisphosphonates due to a stage 4 lung disease and my teeth have disintegrated due to steroids.
May I ask what shade you chose for your implants? They are beautiful!
It really is life changing
Another great video!! Thank you so much!!
When you want to go to implants after that initial year on average what is the cost...
Thank you for helping people
So you have implants now?
I got Tuesday to have 14 extracted and get comfilytes. What kind are yours they are beautiful
Thank you so much for your channel and info
Did they put bone grafts in at any point to help with bone loss?
Do you know any place where there is progress with stem cell for tooth growth?
How much ur face changes after tooth loss pliz reply
Congrats! Best of luck in healing!
How many years before you were able to get an implant after extraction ?
O wow, you got yours the same day off extraction?! I didn't even get my impressions till a month after extraction
What is an over denture
Is it worth going out of the country since the ISA is so expensive.
So in this video, are you wearing your regular denture or all on 4 fixed denture ?
Smart. Beautiful. Thank you.
Bless you for doing this ❤.
thanks for all the info, I love your videos❤️
You’re very welcome. Thanks for watching!
Thank you Kalinjax! 🙏
Hey 👋🏻 Ramon! Thanks for watching!
great chanel a d a great kalinjax.. thank you my dear😘😘
Thanks for stopping by!
I appreciate your videos but i'm a little confused i have surgery coming up in a month for the whole top and lower jaws, six implants up top and six implants at the bottom, 12 teeth up top and 12 teeth at the bottom, is there a danger i could suffer bone loss?
I have paid the ten per cent deposit... i am so worried.
i have lost most of my back teeth either side at the top.. i was hoping implants would fill my face out again?
thank you for the video
So if I get snap in dentures the rubbing and sore areas won't happen anymore?
Worse come to worst, what is the most costly expense (or at least, the price range) for people to expect when they loose most/all of the dental bone (both upper/lower)?
Before anyone hoping for a permanent dental implant
Thanks for your help.
The immediate look more real.
can doctors still do implants if you already extracted your tooth 2 years ago?
Can you get the dentures without the plate just lining dentures. My top dentures makes me gag.
You look fabulous by the way
As someone who is just starting this journey at 32 (my first consultation is next week on the 17th) what do you recommend? My teeth are horrible & most are broken off to the gum. Most of my teeth will have to be surgically removed like yours. I had someone recommended “all on 6” versus 4? I’m still so confused by it all.
I don’t have experience with the all-on-6 but the all-on-4 has definitely worked for me. Dentures were better than my teeth. Heal your mouth however you can and go from there!
How did you get on? ... i'm 48 male UK.. due surgery in one months time... i'm having six implants at the top and six at the bottom. So worried and scared.
@@deannelson1388 3 on 6 or all on 6?
@@deannelson1388 Oh cool!
Good morning kiddo… 70% bone loss, yikes… Love my metal acrylic partial…. Crud 59 March 2022 😱 Thanks once again ♥️🇨🇦🌏
Good morning, Gayle! 🥰

I decided on a metal acrylic combo for my upper perms. how do you like it?
Thank you🌻
My Dentist has told me I have bone loss and need to take it from my hip for a graft this terrifies me.
People end up with colon and bowel issues, heart problems and constant infections as it degrades your gum line even more
Hi i was wondering if i extract all my upper teeth and get the implant supported bridge will i still lose facial support and appear gaunt ?
Hey! Implants and a hybrid will not give additional support that wasn't there to begin with. But if you haven't already lost much bone, the implants can certainly preserve what you have.
Kalin,
I just got all my teeth extractions on the top and I am getting a fixed zirconia bridge. But he put on a temporary in the meantime it is very big and bulky and I hate it. Is that normal? How did your temporary feel?
hope ur permanents feel better mate, i'm gettting full implants next month and i'm very worried
so pretty mrs. JaX!
Thanks!!
Would love to donate. Any way?
You need to find a good prosthodontist,a lot of general dentists try to do all on 4s but don't have the skill set. to do them properly
