The game is honestly really good, especially for early beta. It's not my typical style of game, but I've been having a lot of fun so far.
Hopefully the developers don't turn it into a cash grab, but a Chinese company and free to play model leaves some concerns. Game has real potential if they don't ruin the monetization aspect.
what do you think will happen
its going to be a no if its f2p. tons of f2p survival mmo's exist and they are all trash, dont let the shiny new paint job fool you into thinking otherwise since this is alpha or w.e you want to call it is the game in its natural state before the monetization systems kick in.

Have you played Alan Wake 2 yet? it's super connected to control with many of the same characters, connecting story lines etc and it's a pretty wild game

Refreshing to hear a developer wants an honest opinion.....thats how you know they are very confident in what theyve created, and theyre willing to listen to anothers POV....theyre willing to take criticism, and Im sure that means theyre willing to tweak it to make it better. Ill potentially be on board with this when it releases.
The backpack reminds me of the baby carrier pack from Death Stranding.
Seems they have a looooooooot of influence from specific games.
While I may have preferred the setting of the day before (if it was a game, not a flip), this still looks rather fun!

Yeah I think it's important to distinguish between a Beta TEST or preview and a final release product. This is a free Beta right now, and when looking at it through that lens it is crazy. There's a long road ahead for sure, but considering where they are in the process I think this has a lot of potential. :)

It looks pretty cool, but also super... Messy. Not just because it's still in development, but it just seems to have too many ideas at once. It's "4000 players/server with wacky visuals" and "3rd person Rust".
Trying to get people from Rust is going to be a hard task as playing Rust is a fulltime job.

This takes a lot of inspiration from Control and and I'm not complaining. I loved Control's art direction hopefully they'll do something amazing with this

Its a copy paste of monster hunter world 1:1 with ui, the entire character creation and prompts are an exact replica. And the whole character gearing and loot sponge aspect is copied from division 2, it has no uniqueness. The reload animation and items even has the same stats as division 2 items.
Heard about this game a while back, didn’t think much of it, but unlike the day before this really did have something hidden behind the curtains where as the day before was just the curtains. Nothing to reveal but a blank canvas of empty space. This game honestly has my attention as well, hopefully it does very well up to launch and beyond.
well to be fair...unlike the day before....this game has actual devs not volunteers
@@deenman23 Only thing I wish is that game wasn’t catered to online. Seems like something I would love to try, but if I can’t really play solo or at least as solo as I can get, I just would rather not. The concept of this game is really interesting too, what a shame.
Edit: I just looked it up and you can play solo so I’ll still keep an eye out for this one.

This game is fucking awesome. I got in a week ago and I can’t put it down. More complete than most AAA games release after years of development.
My only regret is it’s a closed beta. I can’t wait to see the actual release and how alive the world is going to be.
I like how the containment door is ripped from Control
The survival meter icons are extremely similar to Forest. Hunger is exactly the same even.
Almost like Hideo Kojima already made this backpack
lol it's almost worse than an asset flip... most of the themes in this game are a direct rip off of something else and they're still trying to act like it's original.
like one of the big bosses is just Siren Head but with radio dishes instead of sirens..

4000 people on one server is the first red flag
when the day before turned out how i expected i was really disappointed cause an open world mmo last of us kinda zombie game is a dream and once human is def a good step into hopefully that dream game becoming reality

ive been playing the closed beta for about a month now and holy shit it's so addicting, feels so fun to play and the gameplay loop scratches the itch for me PERFECTLY. Definitely excited for a full release and the future of this game
I've been playing this game for about a week now, and it's absolutely amazing. It feels like many different genres smashed into one, but it still pulls it off!

@@xman011101Yeah it’s super smooth only thing that I am not a huge fan of is games that let players build anywhere on the map. Typically people ruin it for others but that hasn’t bothered me in this game honestly.

Looks like they mixed the Division (with zombie-like stuff), Control, and a hint of Death Stranding (just the backpack), and Ghostwire Tokyo enemy design.
This usually is not my kind of game but man...all this footage got my kinda hyped to play it.
I definitely hope the game launches with a PVE mode like other survival games to cater to the more casual audience. It looks like there's gonna be a story for this game, and I imagine it'd be pretty difficult to experience it if you're constantly being shot at by other players.
There are PvE servers where you must flag up to PvP and can only attack other flagged players, versus PvP servers where PvP is always-on after level 10. My husband and I are in the mid 20 levels and never flagged or gone into the PvP zones and are in no danger from other players.
I played the beta for a bit. It honestly felt like an uninspired and contrived mobile game. Enough so that I removed it from my wishlist.
I hope that there are also pve servers. I'm not much for pvp. I'm more pve oriented. Now I'm not saying get rid of pvp. What I'm saying is have different servers for pve, pvp and pvevp.
As far as I've seen from gameplay on someone else's twitch vod, you cant pvp outside of specific zones. So unless you go out of your way to enter those zones, you don't have to worry about other players
ive been playing this beta the whole time and really enjoying it. obviously there are some issues, the AI needs to be better, there needs to be more enemies, the boss fights need to be reworked and make more exciting and harder, loot needs to be balanced more (acid is needed for everything and its annoying to get). but most of the game is pretty good.

Huh, so this is real game. One that sorta continue the sub-genre that Secret World left off: MMO survival TPS with superhuman PCs facing off against SCP-level enemies/threats & other rival players. Interesting...
This seems very interesting, it could be good! Love Luke’s reviews, I wouldn’t listen to him with Starfield, but he knew something was wrong from the get go and raised it, but people thought he was a debbie downer. Man, was he spot on, despite incredible hype!
I love games like this with good survival mechanics, open world exploration and looting, light rpg elements, base building, dynamic world and events, enemy attacks (tower defense mechanics are a bonus). But I want to play them either solo or with a couple of friends in a private server, so they must offer amazing and engaging PvE.
My ideal game of this type is the core of Scum (visuals, movement/animations, weapons and equipment system, survival and rpg mechanics, vehicles, and almost everything else of its core gameplay).
The base building and environment/weather effects of Icarus (I have not found anything that even comes close to this).
The open world of State of Decay 2 (its Infestations, roaming groups, and maybe a few of its base management mechanics on top of Icarus's building system).
And a good enemy wave mechanic like 7 Days to Die or something similar (No One Survived, The Front, etc.)
ps: Anyway, thanks for the video. The game looks good, so I'll add it to my long list of games I want to get on Steam...
A small developer who takes their craft seriously is always a win in my book. We have enough scammers and garbage games clogging up digital stores.

I will never play a game that I will die if I don't eat weeds and drink river water. Just not my jam. I know a lot of peeps love the survival thing, so I hope it's a good game for that crowd. They been disappointed lately.
I saw a little bit of this game like 2 weeks ago on tick tock and immediately added it to my wish list, I just hope that the combat feels as good as the division. I'm super finicky about third person shooters

I’m actually a big fan of using mixed languages in a game so long as there is enough visual context where the different language adds a nice layer but is not critical to understand what you’re doing.

it is, but it works like that because it's a chinese game and they are just copying the code from their other game with "base building" and "resource gathering" where you do the exact same thing.

I’ve been playing the beta like crazy. It’s had the most content I have ever played in a beta. Currently level 32 with a cap of 50. Sure the day before devs are bad. However this game devs already have a huge mobile game. Which is hugely pay to win!
In the same way, the mobile game is pve and PvP. With the PvP game mode being pay to win.
This game has a literal gacha machine. It’s called a wish machine. You get better weapons by finding blueprints around the map. You also get them from the machine. However the same currency used to hit the machine to get more blueprints is the same currency to get more cosmetics.
Which worries me most. PvP has the ability to get high end resources and you must fight for them. Better guns equals more wins. In the beta it isn’t pay to win so it’s fun. Who ever grinds the most. Etc. you can also get gifted resource packs for daily login, so hopefully you can’t top off materials without grinding.
I have genuinely enjoyed everything. I did some PvP and it was alright. Confusing. It’s still in the works but u hope it won’t be pay to win.
Just beware. You'll end up playing for hours without realising it.

The pvp in beta is practically non existent, pretty lame. Knowing someone can kill and steal your stuff is like 80% of the thrill in survival games lol

So, how many enemies are there? Are encounters frequent, or like once an hour or something?
When I was trying to build my base/house, theres a few zombies that would always be near but hardly attacked me. However, there's zombie gators that would always come at me somewhat frequently. Even after killing them, they respawned and would be near about every 5 minutes.
