"thank you I love me too" Best Moment XD
Dave Mustaine is the best metal/rock guitarist of any kind ever.
Yeah, that and Dave for President.
I never paid much attention to him or Megadeth, but wow he's really impressed the hell out of me...now excuse me, I have some songs to download.
"I have some songs to download"
2011 be like
LOL.."I love me too" he says, you know what? ppl should love themselves more..probably why he still is able to sit up there. He's real, he has nothing to hide and he says what he feels..I like that.
So many fall into temptation that have money and fame to drugs and all it's bad sides..that seem good/fun. Glad to see him still alive n rockin! He believes in God, a God that has got him through the tough times.
Tottaly agree with you!
He used to be cocky, but now he's one of the most intelligent musicians out there
"I love you dave"
"Thank you, I love me too" haha so nice
LMFAO 😂💀
"It's for the cause Dave
It's for the Cause" Dave is fukn hilarious
i could see him being really successful touring the worlds auditoriums and colleges telling interesting anecdotal stories like this, maybe 'An Evening with Dave Mustaine'?
I agree. lets see anybody in any band that can play leads, rhythm, and sing as well as mustaine!
Man, seeing Megadeth tomorrow. In Northern Ireland.
I think we are a lot more tolerant this time round, so hopefully the venue doesn't get bombed.
Dave should have his own reality show!
The history of Megadeth is always interesting. Nice to hear some new information. Metallica was a good band. Their fist four albums were gold man. Megadeth has stayed true to their sound. They have not sold out, and made music to please a certain kind of audience. End Game is just great.
Woooooo Nottingham
its funny that allways when someone shouts something he answers shortly:D
Words of wisdom... Dave's more intelligent than most..
MARTY WOOHOO!
he said:
thanks, i love me too
i dont see why people think hes a dick. he can be slightly on the cocky side at times but thats more for the sake of humour and irony than true arrogance, and he always comes across as knowledgable and intelligent. you can actually learn things from his interviews, whereas most bands will just say what you want them to say. he can be opinionated at times but i'd rather have that than someone who never says anything conclusive because they dont want to upset anyone.
Fuck that. Take a stand! I'd rather truly express myself through music in local clubs rather than not take a stand and play it safe for 25 years. I'm not trying to be "bad ass" I'm trying to be myself when I play.
@OscarGmdxrulz Yea you too man I saw Megadeth with Anthrax and Slayer back in September. All bands were spot on, but my beef with Slayer is that most of their songs sound the same. I still recognize their talent though. And while it's true that Overkill started in '80 before Metallica & Megadeth, but they didn't become very active until 84, and even so, the classic sound of thrash metal was brought about by Metallica before Dave was kicked out. Overkill still deserves a ton of credit though
Evile, Sylosis, Warbringer, Skeletonwitch, Bonded by Blood. Some new thrash for you.
@OscarGmdxrulz I suppose you're right. Maybe it was because I was pretty tired from moshing and hopping around to Anthrax and Megadeth by the time Slayer took the stage, but you're right. Overkill does deserve more credit than they get. Same with Testament and Exodus. On top of that, I've recently gotten into newer thrash bands such as Evile, Gama Bomb, and Warpath. Thrash ain't dead yet! :D
@OscarGmdxrulz meh, I blame Bob Rock for the changing of the style. Nobody else wanted to go in another direction. Compare Bob Rock to Rick Rubin now, Rick just lets em do their thing. My prediction is that we never would have seen much of a change in Metallica had Bob not shown up, and even less so if Cliff had lived. And my comparisons are KeA > KIMB, PSBWB > RtL, Mop > SFSGSW, RIP > AJFA, and BA = CtE I don't even bother comparing albums after that
@OscarGmdxrulz I suppose. True enough they should have fought harder for their passion. Lars however was more in it for the money than Hetfield was (hence him being my least favorite member) And yes, Endgame is amazing. I thought Death Magnetic was pretty good and a solid return to their old style. I compare it to The World Needs a Hero. Megadeth started playing metal again, but it took time for them to get their style back. I have a feeling that the next Metallica album will be killer
This is for the CAUSE XD
GOD METAL DAVE!!
is that the time he was in in northern ireland when he said something bout the ira ?
around 3:46, Dave says the "Clause" instead of the "Cause" on accident :p
yeayy for marty's fans!!!! YEEEEAAAHHH
@fonduman213 Thats what makes him kinda like a comedian too. And thats what I like a him about.
he seems to unnecessarily put all the blame on Marty about their musical direction changing... c'mon, Dave's the leader, he had a part in it.
I actually thought of holywars when I have talked to Irish and Scott about UDA IRA . Yeah, they are not making the association of Prodistant and Catholic territory wars being similar to anything else on the planet
@DegraDeadlock countdown for extintion is also good
I love me too. I would too if i was Dave xD
What instance are you even referring to? What did he say that came off as cocky?
@zero4fallen though I agree with you about Endgame being better then Death Magnetic, not so much about they were good before Ride the Lightning. Master of Puppets was by far their best album, and everything Kill 'Em All through Justice is fuckin killer. I also love the Black Album and Death Magnetic. Load was okay, but Reload and St. Anger sucked, but it's true. Metallica never did sell out. Selling out is when you let the company write your music for you...they never did that
We love you Dave
Thank you i love me too
hahaha
Dave deserves a better thumbnail.
NOTTINGHAM!!!!!!
I was that person jaja!!
the mighty fuckin megadeth
lol
lmfao
Wow !!! Dave Mustaien is Very Look-a-Like Tom Delonge!!
@megadeath728 i can see you didn't "concender" finishing school either.
@OscarGmdxrulz Perhaps. Only time will tell. There's no denying that Megadeth has aged the best out of the Big 4, but Metallica will always be my favorite out of the 4. I don't pay much attention to the rivalries because it interferes with the ability to enjoy the best out of what everybody has to offer. DM should have been better, but like I said. It takes time to redevelop a style once you drift from it. DM did have some killer riffs and vocals as well. Not a Mop or RtL but still good
@fonduman213
I believe it is now, after he have gotten over from the drug problem.
that wouldnt be enough...
did not he study at university
bachelor of thrash metal definitely compared to james he made it!!
@Phailure365 alexi laiho... what an awesome fucking player! whats up dude?
Marty Friedman is the best thing that happened to Megadeth
I agree but imagine if Jeff Waters or Dimebag got the gig. They both almost did instead of Marty. They would definetly have gone the heavier route.
jlarsena Fuck yeah Dime would've been the best for Megedeth in my opinion. Imagine a Hangar 18 style battle thing going on with some sick solo's!!!
PanamaSabroso Can't wait to see who's next. Dave always seems to find awesome guitarists we've never heard of.
jlarsena I really like Dimebag, but weren't his solos kind of identical? His solos were always stretchy dimebagish shit. Personally I would have liked to see Kirk and Dave team up. Kirk shares some a little bit of Daves style. Marty was trying to be way too complex on hangar 18, they were good solos but didn't fit.
Dave Mustiane Is Megadeth , granted I still think the music captured with Marty is the best , but Megadeth has Had Many great guitar players , no ... I don't entirely disagree with you .... but still
I don't think that Death Magnetic deserves number 1 status. End Game should be on top. It blows Death Magnetic out of the water in terms of good songs. Metallica was a good band. Key word being was.
@arealfanofmusic He's nervous! Let's see YOU speak to a crowd !
@DegraDeadlock well, imo...
And Alexi Laiho
@fonduman213 ask him about metallica
2:19 I know I love me too lol
well that was a tangent...
he almost said 20bpsecond out of habit
@fonduman213 meet him and you'll know
it won`t happen anyway...let people speak their mind...
You guys cant take a joke huh?
youthanisia is better than countdown!
at 3.12 (for the cause Dave) ahahahahahhahahahahahahah
he does't talk too much :D
2:02 BITCH DON'T YOU DARE INTERUPT DAVE!!!!!!
A prophecy of cancel culture 12 years later
Holy Wars... the punishment due.
You sicken me... aside from the fact that he looks nothing like him anyway!
I want that blonde chick to be my girlfriend.
pwoods100 who Dave?
dude she wants you
@doomsdaygray James has a better voice, but Dave always been better at guitar.
haha!
Seemed like she wanted to jump his bones lol
she is hot man iand he definitely too I would like to interview once
Nice to know the shithole country I live in helped spawn an awesome Thrash metal song. Probably the only substantial claim to fame taht Northern Ireland has.
You guys got amazing whisky if that helps you any!
Northern Ireland isnt a country and Ireland isnt that shit
+TheGrimReaper54321 since when? What do you think all the fighting has been over?
+Zag over religion and their heritage, but that doesn't make it shit, I like it here. Sure it can be boring and everything but sure
+TheGrimReaper54321 Awk its alight I suppose. It's home after all. That aside, Northern Ireland is its own country though.
lol but he still rips lol
this is why megadeth is great and Metallica sold out.
4:05 Dave trying to be funny and failed.
Nah it was funny. I can imagine him drunk off his ass
I'd rather a musician be honest and arrogant at times than a total tool with a fake friendly personality coached by his PR agents.
Merely a joke. nothing more.
Who's the chick anyway?
Dave always has someone to blame He never takes accountability for his poor choices musically. He basically is saying that Marty firiedman was responsibile for Megadeth's departure from metal. The truth is Dave wanted to make those records (Cryptic writings & risk), He was trying to sell out so he could be played on major radio markets. After Risk proved to be a complete bust Dave then decided to go back to his roots. The point is Dave did sell out but he was not successful at it. I mean Dave brought in a revered pop producer to do those records. Its clear that Dave was hoping to make a big pop album but he acts like he was forced to write radio friendly music. Dave just throws Marty under the bus to relieve his own sense of resposibility for making
shity music. Dave rarely has anything nice to say about past members of Megadeth.
I really really hate to agree. I love Dave to Deth he inspired the shit out of me. However, it seems since he has always had the most control over the music (so he says) he had an instinctive choice to make these records and sell out and I've always had the feeling it was all mostly Dave's fault. But then again when you are making metal for a living, those record companies are the people who write your checks, and it seems they've wasted his talent. Metal was on the decline back then. Metallica was making horseshit and all record companies wanted to make the magic that they made for money, those big dollar signs are in there eyes when it comes to music. It is sad that Marty was the one to take the blame for it all but hey he's fucking Japanese bitches and playing guitar all day for a living now so I doubt he really cares. Those albums aren't bad for a "mainstream" attempt for a record, but it ain't MegadetH! But I completely see what you are saying brother. We just can't really know who's to take the fault for this atrocity. We weren't there with Dave during the writing.
Kris Ross i agree as well, as much as i love Dave's music , i have to say that he plays the victim card at every chance he gets. Maybe this is why he has such a negative opinion of AA and NA because both programs preach accountability for one's actions. I have read Dave's autobiography which was a great read, but in the book he verbally beats up and assassinates the character of more than a few people. And at the end of it all i see an insecure guy who has been through quite a bit. That being said i personally have been through a hell of a lot including being born with Spinabifida , having 40 plus surgeries including the loss of a foot and then the leg and thats the tip of the fucking iceberg but you won't see me whining.
+Joshua Pelton It's so easy to complain on the internet isn't it? While he still continues to be successful.
