Maturing is realizing that the best realistic case scenario for Greece would be Constantinople, the marmara region, Smyrna, and maybe the rest of ionia
I feel like you may have overlooked on change in this scenario. Unlike in our timeline where Belgium became an independent country which was ultimately accepted by the Dutch, full French annexation and the threat of a large French empire would have been a different situation. This could also mean British troops invade France through Belgium.
Great video. My suggestion is a repeat, but I feel it’s a good scenario: What if The Western Roman Empire was able to fortify their Italic homeland from barbarian invasions and keep out the barbarians? Retaining a unified Italy under a West Roman State. P.S. They would still lose the rest of their empire, they just are able to hold onto their homeland.
Oh, this sounds like a very interesting idea. I could see them collaborating with the Rhōmais Empire in the East, with both empires sending aid to each other when needed. This would also mean something like the campaigns of Justinian wouldn't happen, as there was no Gothic kingdom in Italy. This would prevent the depletion of the Rhōmais army, and allow them to better resist the spread of Islam when it comes around (though they would probably still loose Egypt and parts of the Levant, they would keep Syria, Armenia, whatever defendable territories they gained in wars against the Sassanids). Or they could deplete themselves by winning against the Sassanids, as they would have more troops to throw at them in this timeline. The Western Empire would serve as a kind of safe staging ground for the Eastern Empire, who could consistently call on troops and allies to bolster themselves. Meanwhile the West would be able to survive due to being able to use the threat of the East as a deterrent against barbarian kings, with the Langobarda and Franks probably staying out of Italy this time.
@@carissamace the real reason they were unable to resist the islamic invasions was 2 fold: 1 the local christians in syria below were schisming from the main orthodox church and sided with the muslims, and 2 because they were exhausted after a long war with persia. no wars in italy just means they likely fight the persians earlier and get time to rebuild, but the schism with the southern christians still happens. its likely they just revolt after the islamic invasions instead though as the battles are won but at high eniugh cost the southern part of the empire notice weakness and start a civil war which results in 3 empires (a western, eastern and southern christian roman empires respectfully)

This is a great video, Mr. Videntis. I really like part one from the Possible History Channel, and who knew Napoleon II would make a good president just like his cousin, Napoleon III. In the sequel, France and Austria would remain allies because it wouldn't make sense for France or Austria to become enemies and start a cold war. Napoleon II was the grandson of Francis II, the last Holy Roman Emperor of the HRE, and there were a lot of Austrian nobles who liked Napoleon II as Emperor of France because he knew when and when not to risk anything to recreate the old Roman Empire and was very influential in Russian, Italian and German. What would be interesting is to have France as a hybrid of a semi-constitutional monarchy and a republic and for Austria to form the European Union to restore the Holy Roman Empire with France's help. What do you think of that idea, Mr. Videntis? Any thoughts, comments, and opinions about this idea for part three?

End of the war would happen way earlier with a more lenient punishment (and not to say Austrians wouldn't even be able to reliably protect and influence them away from Russia anyways) 2. Greece wouldn't even instantly implode after gaining such lands, they wouldn't even get to occupy the Pontus before the Turks raise up and kick them out from Konstantinye, even with help from France/Austria. 3. Why would France gain western African British colonies. Britain is still the most powerful naval nation, France nor Austria would be able to enforce such demands on them, specially considering they still own Gibraltar and the Suez by the end of the war. At most, after a Russian capitulation, they would simply exchange peace for some war reparations in order to more hastily go back to normalcy.

Let's throw a further wrench in this three possibility scenario... the Bonaparte Emperor in the 40's marries a minor British princess who through an abdication and early death ends up the British monarch. I suggest that to remind you that marriage alliances matter too. Napoleon II is almost certainly not still Emperor in 1914-1915, so who did he marry and have children with, who did his successor marry and have children with?

The fate of the franco-austrian alliance will be decided on the trauma of war on both countries. Assuming they are both satisfied with their war gains and still traumatized by a truly violent war, they wouldn't have to go to War. Their relationship might sour and their alliance essentially weaken but the wars in the 1940's could just be regional individual rematches against ww1 losers like England vs France in Gibraltar or Africa. Or Austria going to war in the Balkans to settle something there...
I think the most interesting one is that Russia would have become the dominant power in Europe and possibly the world. I wonder how that would have affected the history of the 20th century and beyond. Would there still be a communist revolution, a cold war, or a European Union?

Greece pushing back Bulgaria, let alone Bulgaria and the Ottomans in 1912 is laughable and with Serbia in the mix even more funnier. In reality Greece at that time would have been smashed like a bug and annexed between Bulgaria and the Ottos even before Serbia joins for the spoils.
The whole Greece part of the video was extremely unrealistic, though since you are a American I am not even surprised. Ignoring the historical fallacies. I would suggest you to learn more about the areas where you make a border. The borders in Cilicia for example were the most ridiculous, Turkish Yörük filled areas along the Taurus mountains going to Greece meanwhile Armenian majority areas in lowlands going to the Ottomans... The location of the coast that was left of Ottomans was ignorant aswell, that location is filled with marshlands and are not suitable to make a port, if you look in the google maps you will see there is barely any settlements along the coast there. There is a reason why the Second biggest port in Turkey is located in Mersin instead of its provincial neighbor Adana. To end in a good note however, I did like the visuals.
Britain seems way too psssive foe a country seeking to preserve a balance of power, against a Napoleonic France against whom they should be particularly vary of (instead they let France annex all of Belgium, take swathes of Italy and even leave Prussia to die against 2/3 great powers. Russia sgluld have also intervened in the Austro-Prussian war as to prevent Austria and France from giving too much power. And Prussia just seems suicidal for jumping to war against Austria and Big Bavaria with way less territory and the chance of a French intervention and no Italian ally either. (And Greece is let annex 3/4 of Anatolia of largely Turkish land AND establish puppets). An interesting experience, just wish it felt more balanced and realistic
Make an video about, what if Hetman Hmelnyts'kiy, leader of Hetmanate state has won war for independence against Polish-Lithuanian Commonthwelth and become fully independent.
In the France vs Austria scenario, I believe Bavaria would be a French ally as it has been for centuries. Bavaria would also fear Austrian hegemony in Germany.
There would be a major cultural and religious bond between Bavaria and austria aswell with them beating Napoleon in this alternate universe there would also be a bit of resentment for the bavarians making Bavaria more likely to ally with austria
Here's a fun scenario they are three scenarios all combined into one Napoleon never invaded Spain what if Napoleon married Russian princess and never invaded the Russians but invaded the Ottomans
Cool video, but what about other scenario about Napoleon thematic: "What if countries of continental system didn't betray Napoleon?". (P.S. after Russian invasion failed)
@Videntis.History really needs to do a Napoleonic sweep scenario for our Napoleonic wars, then implementing more realistic expectations from the death of Napoleon 1st in the 1830s, maybe 1840s (lives longer due to better physical and mental health in a victory scenario). Best case scenario for this European state is that the French Empire decentralises and shares its power with some German states to create stability, creating a Napoleonic equivalent to the Austro-Hungarian Empire with its shared power. The Franco-(insert whatever German coalition) Empire shall rule the continent. This comment was copied from the PH prequel.
You forgot possible alliance led by Poland, with all the Central European states (Lithuania, Livonia, Belarus, Ukraine) and balancing it all - or shifting scales. Those borders wouldn't be enough for Poland in the long run.
I find it unlikely that the Danes living in northern Schleswig wouldn't seek reunification with Denmark after seeing all of the other oppressed people getting some form of liberation

Big Austrian East Europe looks weird, i love it.
one suggestion. make the music for the beginning of segments quieter. My ears are dead
The borders for Greece were made to look neat, clearly no thought was put into it.
Make a third video where the alliance won (an alternative to this alternative scenario)
Heres a Possible Video Idea: What if Carolengion Empire Never Existed and was lost through time? There would be no France or Germany
This was a very creative and interesting scenario
I just realized that there are NO tanks in this alternate.
I really, REALLY want to know. how do you make your maps, seriously, they're so good.
Can you make one that is "What if the British defeated the American Revolution?"
Now what if Germany had a combination of both it's 1914 borders including Prussia and it's Holy Roman Empire borders of the 11th century.
Got earblasted at the 1915 peace conference music
Sorry I will fix that going forward

Suggestion: What if Mali discovered the New world
as an austria enjoyer I see this as an absolute win
What’s the music in the background called from 10:52 until the end of the video?
I want to know too, I know I've heard it before on Dr. Ludwig's channel, but I forget which one
Die Grenzwacht hielt im Osten
This dude definitely greek
How can Greece defeat the Turks if the Brits and Russians are supporting the Ottomans? Ataturk would still wipe the Greeks from Anatolia
Turk Kope.
No I’m American 🦅🇺🇸. Greece has aid from France and Austria after Russia fell
Video is good, but god damn that ear rape at 8:19
Great map!!
What if byzantine empire rocovered west!!
Holy shit theres so many comment essays on that post
Ethnic tensions in greece?? Ataturk??? Greece would never be that big

Suggestion: What if the 1848 revolution were successful
You forgot possible alliance led by Poland, with all the Central European states (Lithuania, Livonia, Belarus, Ukraine) and balancing it all - or shifting scales. Those borders wouldn't be enough for Poland in the long run.
Dawg those are not Central European
@@karaltar7914 Exactly them are Central European ;) Geometric center of Europe is somewhere in Eastern Poland/Western Belarus ;)
Please do what if the german empire was formed in 1849!!
What if instead of Prussia unifying the Germanic realm, but the Austrians instead? This would be a rather unique divergence in a way.
Before German unification the austrian empire saw themselves as a protector of smaller German states so this is unlikely to happen
i feel like most european powers would oppose such a huge greece as to keep their own influence in the balkans and anatolia
I find it unlikely that the Danes living in northern Schleswig wouldn't seek reunification with Denmark after seeing all of the other oppressed people getting some form of liberation
