I personally don't call out palium or small flow trees. It sounds selfish to say, but having to interrupt my farming session 5-15 minutes for every single node is annoying and I've had people who take their time getting to callouts because they 'know people will wait'. I have seen people start setting a time limit on how long they will wait, which is a nice compromise (especially for rare spawn plants and bugs), but things spawn so fast in this game (including rare things) that I really don't think people should be shamed or feel bad if they accidentally farm ore someone they didn't see was running to or scaring away an animal or bug being hunted. Obviously, there are exceptions, and I definitely will let people know if it's obvious they're farming on the server for things, but I don't think it has to be part of the routine. Save your time, farm away, and switch servers if people are being aggressive about it.

I had that happen to me after I called it out we waited for the last person and it despawned. I apologized and I left to go to bed, because I felt horrible.
I don't even wait for others to arrive to a plant - there's no point. Pick it, call it, flare it and move on. They either arrive in time, or they don't - nothing you can do will change that.
one time i saw a dari clove that nobody had called out (which is fine i don’t expect every single person to call out everything that might be considered desirable) and i was so excited to grab it and call it out for other people but it disappeared right as i ran to grab it 😿
What I usually do in Bahari Bay is when I find a Palium node and there is nobody that is in the nearby zone then I just mine it (bc I want those starstones). But if someone gets mad then just remember Palium doesn't go away, they spawn back lol. But if there is someone that is nearby and I do find a palium node then I do announce where it is. I remember someone flipped out on me because I broke a copper node right in front of them and I didn't see them. Like dude chill, they will come back lol.
Do: if you are a switch user (I am) note that when responding to things, so others know to give extra time for communicating. (PC peeps, it’s a struggle to type on this, especially when docked.)
For me personally, I treat others as I'd want to be treated. It's not particularly complicated. However, 2-hit Palium and tiny flow trees, unless I can see someone nearby, I'll just take. And I always look around to see if someone else is hunting for ores/flow trees when it comes to these. More practically, devs placing Palium where ever sounded fine, except it's incredibly difficult to describe where the heck it is sometimes, even when you want to call it out. Doesn't work well, in my opinion; even with flares.
YES this! Especially with all the cliffs and caves, even dropping a pin (which we can't do) would barely be enough for some spots. And even though I just bought the flare arrow recipe (I'm a newer player), I am usually not trying to take up another inventory slot when I head out on the off chance I find something so I imagine I still won't have them on me for a while
@@CalamityCannon Exactly right. With newer players, inventory space is severely limited until you can afford the Zeki expansions. And the newer expansion they've recently included only holds Quest items. Which is useful, for sure. But not everyone carries flare arrows for various reasons. Classic Wow quest item lines is one of my favorite gaming memories. I disagree about the fishing node. As long as you are not stealing a fish from a player, then the node is fair game. As a Wow player would say, “get good”, lol. I would never say that, I am always demure and mindful. The number one 'do' IMO is always shake it off and grow a thick skin.

Whoah! I'm a newer player (squarely mid-game as far as I can tell) and knew dari cloves were rarer but had no idea these were something to call out. This is so helpful to know! Just confirming - I can harvest forageables, call it out/flare if it's a good one (are there others?), and then go do whatever? Trying to feel out the co-op aspect - the shadow left behind means that forageable remains there for others, and will remain there for #### amount of time?
So Dari cloves, imo, are the only ones to call out :) but other people may feel differently. And yes, the shadow left behind means it’s still visible to other players.
I often choose a small spot in bahari to cut down trees to spawn flowtrees, I announce it when I start and sometimes people just come and cut the trees without saying anything...that's very annoying as I want to spawn a few and then have people come and cut it, I'm making little groves :)
I think the fishing shouldn't matter, if you have sound on you just count the sounds from your bobber to know. But hope youve had luck getting the star quality stones. I found I had a better drop rate from clay than stone or ore collecting.
I struggled in the fishing games. Took me a friend fishing and observing her how to fish before I get that you have to move with the fish and not pull it in the opposite direction..... :)
I've only recently joined on Switch and had no idea about being supposed to call out pal and ft etc. I've kinda been picking rules up as I started watching your channel, literally just learned we are supposed to call out some of the plants 😬 I play solo and I love just running around mining, collecting stuff and exploring. I do call out fts when I see them but after waiting 5 in game hours to chop a grove the other day, I lost all my play time and I'm less likely to do it again. Totally bemused about cooking together 😂
Imo, I would only call at Dori cloves! If you’re in a grove and no one is there, I would join a discord or a community so you can let them know. People will server sync with you and help you out!
Some of us newbies don't understand certain things. I thought that each player saw Palium for a certain period of time. Doesn't it flash after I've hit it for the next player to hit it? I didn't think it disappeared after I hit it. I thought it was still available for the next player.
Thank you for this video. I now realize how annoying I am. >.< I just want to say that I play on the Switch (lite), and I hate typing / sending messages on it, so I don't even try. Also, I personally have a really hard time seeing around me, so I run thru people hunting without realizing until I got shot at (because the screen is smaller? My eye sight is bad?). :P I have no idea how to play on the PC because I just suck at keyboard controls. hahahaha Anyway, I do feel bad for everyone who plays around me. I'm just a nuisance. I'm mostly unsocial and tend to do my own things on my own, not paying attenion to anyone else.
I tend to go by what the developers decide. If not calling out resources becomes a bannable offense; I'll listen. Otherwise I spend the little time I have to play efficiently.
I play on my switch and it can be hard typing in the chat sometimes so I’ll let off a few flare if I find a pal and wait a few minutes. I usually try the chat when I find flow trees but using my flare gets ppl attention
I agree with a lot of these but 😂 I'm so busy I gotta game how I want. I've had people call me selfish in the game cause I didn't wanna wait around forever for one flow tree. Like I'm sorry I'm in my 30s I got shit to do lol 😂
Not exactly relevant to the video, but did you know you can use wallpaper on the foundation of your buildings? Or maybe its a bug. It was letting me do this the other day, and I've never noticed it before.
So you have a video explaining how the flow trees and mining and such work? I’ve only been playing a week or so but I don’t really fully understand it. If you hit the palium node, just it just disappear? The ft’s totally confuse me I’ve been a part of one grove cutting and I was TERRIFIED I was gonna somehow fuck it up for everyone
So the ore situation has changed since this video once you break an ore, like when you pick up plants, a ghost form of the node stays in it's place. Others will see the node having a bright silhouette that will pulse faster the closer it gets to despawn. Nodes once broken will last 3 minutes until they despawn so the best thing to do personally is mine the node, call it out in your server and throw a flare on it if you have one (Flares also last 3 minutes) The flow tree groves are pretty simple once someone calls out the grove you swing your axe at each flow tree once and wait until everyone is there and ready to chop. If you're far remember to call in the chat your otw so they can wait. typically they chat to chop at 3 or at a certain time in game so be there before that time.
We gladly exept your apology about the 15/20 rounds of hotpot. But I still think I was in rounds over 20. I will try to replicate and always remember: drink your tea, go to bed, listen to your discord community, we love you ;)
I'm pretty sure I was once. We finished the game at 5:30 am game play time and we started before Market close. That was back in the early part of learning how to play it; and I had absolutely NO CLUE how to "finish this darned thing already". I do now.
Did i miss something? Why was the crab pot pie party against terms of service. Im new to Palia and recently been hearing about cake parties and how they were nerfed but people still do them. What makes them so bad?

I was playing hotpot with some people when apparently someone scooped someone's spot at another table. Cue the most annoying and longest tirade against the player who took the seat going on for like 15 straight minutes of bombing the chat with complaints. I get it, I would have been upset if someone quick clicked and booted me from my table, but it was RELENTLESS complaining and rudeness. Ruined my focus on my hotpot game and was stressful, and I LOVE hotpot. Basically if your seat is taken, that does suck. It isn't fair. But don't ruin everyone's time with a tirade, suck it up and find another table. Sheesh.
I cannot join parties or accept any more friend requests I get a 409 code. I ask for help; some people might help, and others are rude in their response. I play the game that is it.
I never understand this game.. I hate doing the garden. I love the puzzle / questing game. But man.. some quest asked me to do garden? Nope, I skip it. Palia clothes are SO ugly.
5 whole minutes on the definition of "dos and don'ts" was way way too much. Look, in the public forum, some people are going to misunderstand you -- and some people just won't like what you're saying/doing. That's unfortunate, but it's life. The solution is to spend time learning the difference between well meaning, constructive criticism and dickery. The solution is not to spend 5 or more minutes of an intro trying to get ahead of any complaints. Just do you, man. That level of apology is just gonna raise your bounce rate.
I wasn’t really apologizing for anything. I cracked a joke about one situation but the focus of the video was people trying to force an “etiquette” into the game when there really isn’t an “etiquette” I just have a list Palia content videos and I go down the list, based after what people ask in my community.
If u want to help some people out without typing (I am on the Switch and i HATE typing) and you have the right amount of hunting skill, bring some flare arrows with you and if its something like palium ore or heat root shoot it with the flare arrows before going to town on it (not really good for the flow trees cuz those wont stay behind when u chop em). Might still make some people mad still for not calling it out but I think that's definitely better than nothing and gives good use for the flare arrows.

Like always I love this video! Its always fun to see how others like tp play! hahaa and how do you switch servers? I wanta server hop!! lol
Not exactly relevant to the video, but did you know you can use wallpaper on the foundation of your buildings? Or maybe its a bug. It was letting me do this the other day, and I've never noticed it before.
Yes came with the new patch
So you have a video explaining how the flow trees and mining and such work? I’ve only been playing a week or so but I don’t really fully understand it. If you hit the palium node, just it just disappear? The ft’s totally confuse me I’ve been a part of one grove cutting and I was TERRIFIED I was gonna somehow fuck it up for everyone
So the ore situation has changed since this video once you break an ore, like when you pick up plants, a ghost form of the node stays in it's place. Others will see the node having a bright silhouette that will pulse faster the closer it gets to despawn.
Nodes once broken will last 3 minutes until they despawn so the best thing to do personally is mine the node, call it out in your server and throw a flare on it if you have one (Flares also last 3 minutes)
The flow tree groves are pretty simple once someone calls out the grove you swing your axe at each flow tree once and wait until everyone is there and ready to chop. If you're far remember to call in the chat your otw so they can wait. typically they chat to chop at 3 or at a certain time in game so be there before that time.
@@fire34fly I’ve been deep in the discord and reddit so I understand it all now thank u! :-)
I enjoy your Palia channel. I love your attitude and your humour. You can do a vid on anything you want and I will happily watch it.
Thank you!! I’m so happy you’re enjoying the channel!
switch user it also takes forever to type most times
We gladly exept your apology about the 15/20 rounds of hotpot. But I still think I was in rounds over 20. I will try to replicate and always remember: drink your tea, go to bed, listen to your discord community, we love you ;)
u da bestest!!
I'm pretty sure I was once. We finished the game at 5:30 am game play time and we started before Market close. That was back in the early part of learning how to play it; and I had absolutely NO CLUE how to "finish this darned thing already". I do now.
Can you chop the normal trees? Will the trees re-grow again?
Yes they all respawn.
omgg I love your character customization, it has such a Bobobōbo Bōbobo vibe to me haha dunno why
Did i miss something? Why was the crab pot pie party against terms of service. Im new to Palia and recently been hearing about cake parties and how they were nerfed but people still do them. What makes them so bad?
Crab pot pies are totally safe but there was an exploit that made each pie like 1.5k gold lol
@@PerzivalGG oh my days! Um Palia is definitely a grind. Just picturing this, wow! Thank you for answering 🤣
You can upgrade chests? How do you get the copper and iron chests?
Sorry for all the tree and pallium that I get without telling I m a switch players and just start to read and type messages
Adding that your doing a good job it my first time in that kind of game
TBH, ppl take some stuff way too srsly and get way too mad over a game...
I agree! When I am streaming, sometimes I forget to call certain things out. People have FREAKED OUT in game. I try to apologize and they just dont accept it. So I just jump servers!
I got 3 star gems garnet onyx and quartz 7 more to go
I finally got a sapphire!

Best Palia content creator 🎉
YOURE THE BEST BUTTERFLY
How do I know I found a node.?
Sheesh.
I am new to palia i play on the switch when i can this video help me understand it better
I'm still looking at S6 and waiting 🧐
TWEET THEM LMFAO
I might've made a ticket lol@@PerzivalGG

Hey, which program do you use to record your gameplay? :)
I had no Internet for a week. But I'm back now. So happy. 💜💜💜💜
I feel love is in the air between those two...
Let's goooo
How do you add other players on palia?
starts @6:25
Cmon s6, make this man partner already!
ONE DAY
I cannot join parties or accept any more friend requests I get a 409 code. I ask for help; some people might help, and others are rude in their response. I play the game that is it.
I love cooking!!
I follow rules and mechanics put in place by the developers, not a bunch of unsaid rules because you mad you didn't find it first.
Don't get mad at people for picking wrong ingredient while having cooking parties
This is why I have no desire to join parties. People are too intense.
I learned that people can be rude and mean in Palia.
I cracked a joke about one situation but the focus of the video was people trying to force an “etiquette” into the game when there really isn’t an “etiquette”
I just have a list Palia content videos and I go down the list, based after what people ask in my community.
I disagree about the grove. Not that hard to wait for everyone
I’ll wait but if I’ve been waiting forever, there is definitely time to move on.
The idea of waiting until 3 is great. But for every little tree is ridiculous. If you can cut a tree on your own cut it.
Pal name Stevemaitrechien again so sorry
Not good on cooking in palia
Too much hotpot. No time to talk to NPCs at Maji Market.
Easy...Dont play Palia, DO play anything else, lol
If u want to help some people out without typing (I am on the Switch and i HATE typing) and you have the right amount of hunting skill, bring some flare arrows with you and if its something like palium ore or heat root shoot it with the flare arrows before going to town on it (not really good for the flow trees cuz those wont stay behind when u chop em). Might still make some people mad still for not calling it out but I think that's definitely better than nothing and gives good use for the flare arrows.
Just flaring resources is totally fine. You’re still helping people find the stuff!
