My flu, sleep deprived brain messed up while reading the script! I wasMy flu-ridden, sleep-deprived brain played tricks on me while reading the script! I was supposed to say, 'The farthest I have ever gotten was 15, but at round 20, it just ends.' Even though that information is still incorrect, and I got it from an article I found while trying to dive deeper into Hotpot and minigames, I managed to misread the script and didn't catch it during editing. I'll wholeheartedly acknowledge my mistake in the next video :)supposed to say " Farthest I have ever gotten was 15 but at round 20 it just ends." Even though that is still wrong and I got that info from an article I found while trying to dive deeper into Hotpot and minigames, I read the script wrong and didn't catch it in editing. I will acknowledge my mistake in the next video :)
The hot pot minigame NEEDS to be in the underground, but I think it definitively needs a reskin. The hot pot version should be exclusively for the Magi Market, but for the underground, give it more of a casino vibe, like blackjack meets mahjong. Very Zeki. Another game that could be cool could be a rhythm game with musical instruments.
Loving hotpot. I think adding it to the underground would be a natural way to add it as a permanent feature to the game. Having just one table that you can play at once an in game day might not be enough though. If you have a group of 4 friends who want to play, it would be really hard to all get in without a random person joining in. It would be nice if it was treated like the chapaa arcade game, where there's a couple in the underground, but you can buy one for your home plot. It would be so fun to invite friends over to your house to play some hotpot.
It would be so nice to be able to invite friends over to one's home plot. Since I've been allocated to the Asia Pacific region in game, all of my friends in North America cannot visit, I can't visit them, and we can't even team up for group activities anywhere on the available map. "Make friends in Asia Pacific then" is the advice; but the majority of folks playing in that region text in Japanese, Mandarin Chinese or Korean. I haven't mastered any of those yet lol. My best efforts in that regard is identifying which language someone is shouting out in.
The servers I end up always have some empty hot pot tables, I end up playing alone quite often if I can’t find a table to join. I think keeping hotpot and adding it to the underground is a great idea. Like maybe you get certain tickets from playing hotpot in the underground and you can buy exclusive black market items with them. Seasonal black market items would be really cool too, that could only be won via the underground hotpot tickets. Mini games in the game are a good way to encourage people to play together with other actual humans, but without making it impossible for solo play to happen for actual main game stuff. The tavern should also have some community based activities at all.
They should add some time of boss fight, where like once’s every Palia day everyone can gather up and enter a dungeon and fight a boss for riches, Ik the gave is cozy but I feel like this would add so spice. They also could add a mini game like over cooked, where there’s 2 teams, and there’s this big food meal (multiple foods) they have to make, and the first team to make the meals wins prices that vary from new exclusive food recipes that you can only get from that mini game or some just basic food ingredients
Hotpot is great. Needs to be a permanent feature for Palia. Perhaps we could play for renown or something the rest of the year. We need more than one table, because it would be a huge waste of time for everyone to run all the way there only to find there's already four people playing and you can't get in.
Thanks for the great content bro. I love H.P. too! My gripe is that the people who don't know how to play it, run the clock down too much. We addicted players are trying to get as many H.P. games in as possible before 3 am comes around. You always have that one player who takes forever to take their turn. Please do like I did; learn how to play, then challenge everyone. Peace.
I ADORE hotpot. I've played mahjong a fair amount, and this is just an easier version where I don't need to figure out the scoring X'D I also like that it's competitive, but still has a cooperative feel because everyone's points are based on the overall table results (except the winner bonus?). 🎉🎉🎉 It's so much fun!
I don't play Chappa chase due to a bug or something. Any time I participate in it I have to log out as it won't let me close the results menu. This is on the switch. I do think that they should add it to the underground. Or allow you to buy or make your own hot pot table that you could then place at your house.
If you have a chappa in your hands when the timer runs out, you’ll be able to close the results menu. I play on the Switch and had the same issue, but I saw a comment on a different video that said this and it actually worked for me.
Absolutely addicted and waiting for the irl tabletop version. I agree, I want hotpot tables in the Underground Night Market...or for the decerning Palian homeowner.
We were discussing this on the official discord. And the underground was one of the suggestions. I also saw how the setup could be used for trading and sent that through to add to my gazillion other trading suggestions
So much about my life will be effected if they don't let me keep hot pot forever... Sometimes I will stay in the area all day and just fish until 6 pm when I can play hotpot again
I'm wondering....If making a set of SEA FOOD on the SEA FOOD segment of the Hotpot Table, or Heat Root for the Extra Hot segment would garner higher stats? See how there's a prawn roiling around in your segment during this video? A mushroom on the mild segment to your upper right?
I have two brothers that are experts at Man-Flu. I hope you feel better soon. I bow to my players around the hot-Pot as well. I am addicted to it too. I want it added to Zecki's Underground. I don' care what we win, I just want to play.
Many ppl play the hotpot over chappa chase because hotpot gives you so many more lucky envelopes. I kinda feel forced to play it over and over since I want to get the furniture. I would prefer an option to use gold since I can get that all the time and I am not forced to play 1 or 2 minigames and to a specific time.
They could add a machine (or use Zeki, since it would fit his character) that would chnge some number of lucky envelops to gold and vice versa. It probably can't be 1:1 because people would just use this and nothing else for money, so like: 3 envelops to 1 gold 3 gold to 1 envelope Or something. I would prefer it to be 1:1 but the creator probably wouldn't want that. What's your thought on that?
What if they put the hot pot game into a video game like the tower? This gives us more room for more tables. We could still win tickets that could be used to purchase added items to the underground. An additional register could be added where you could purchase things like the Zeki coins, cooking ingredients, seeds, and hot pot themed decorating items. (Things like cooking pots that are unique like reths lucky pot). They could also add things like makeshift chests for people who aren’t great at fishing. They could turn each hot pot card into a larger hangable poster they could put into a random chest where you get a random poster when you open it up. This could open up a new achievement to collect them all, and could potentially offer a “card trading” mechanic in the future.
Another item would be like a placeable hot pot game at your home (like the one you can craft from the inn set not playable but decorative), or like how people have their own poker chips an item like we have our cards to bring to games.
I would really love a mini game where we enter another place like the tower but instead of climbing we use our glider and catch wind tunnels like we did in temple of gales
Same addiction as you for the hot pot. When I'm home and I don't have to work, I do everything in home (cooking, eating, making a shower...) being sure to do it before .45 of every hour. My character is stuck in the market since the day 1 of the market. 😂 And I don't really understand why people are still stopping to play hotpot for chasing chapaas, you can have more tickets with the hotpot. Another thing I think a lot of people don't understand of hotpot is that if you cooperate with the other 3 players, instead of trying to close the hand as soon as possible, you can get more tickets because everyone get the amount of rank for the ENTIRE table, not only for our hand, so if we make parties and chat to trade the cards while we are playing, we can earn 1.200 or more tickets without closing our hand, you only get 300 tickets more if you close. I played tables where at the round 3 someone closed the hand and I had a good hand but the all table was something like 300/400 tickets, so why to close if the other players don't have nothing in their hands? Every community activities in palia is made for have more benefits if you cooperate, so I really don't get why a lot of people still don't cooperate (in hotpot) and just try to win. I mean, sometimes I have a steak for 4 rounds and when I discard that everyone discard meat, like they play for making the game harder for the other players and not easier.😅
Doesn't Reth have a little food area in the underground? It would fit in there pretty well. I could see Zeki putting him in charge of it. Having a Hotpot takeaway food item for every person that plays would be great and not game breaking if it is one game a night. The winner getting a star quality takeaway to display sounds great. To add a little more challenge, the takeaway boxes can be the colors of the categories in the game. The box you win is based off of what foods you win with. Example, you win with spices (orange), seafood (blue) and mushrooms (purple). Your takeaway box will be randomly selected from those three colors. Would that be cool or is it too much RNG and frustration to get the whole set?
You played at my Hot Pot table on the first day! I agree, bring it to the Underground, but I don't think it's worth it for one game. Make the prizes modest, tiny amounts of gold, and some renown for the winner, but let us play like we do at the market.
I thought the chase would be bigger til they started running as far as the stables. Arrrgh no not like that lmao😅 the card game underground would be sick
I would love it if they added some sort of weekly or bi weekly fishing tournament over at Einar's pond. Give me some tokens as a participation prize and I won't care if I actually won or not. Maybe give the winner some free glow worms, renown, and a Zeki Coin or something?
is there an explaination as to why I play but its only possible for me to make 2 sets of 3 and 1 set of 2, how do people get that third set with the last card?
No, it’s 20. I recorded this on flu brain and little to no sleep 😂. In my script, I had it 20 rounds and it just ends but I’ve never gotten past 15. My brain merged it all together. I am acknowledging my mistake next video
I meant 20 lol. Flu brain messed up when I read the script and even in editing, I just didn’t catch it! I’m going to acknowledge my mistake in the next video.
My flu messed up my brain and I was supposed to say farthest round I’ve gotten to was 15 but I’ve been told 20 rounds. But I was pretty delirious and don’t notice 😂

There's a skin or costume (one can purchase) with a Guitar slung over the back. And there's a stage in Zeki's Market. So I'm thinking....
Pretty sure we're going to get some musical instruments in game, maybe a skill and/or something we can do together in the underground
Bring it to the underground! Underground!

HOOOOTTTTT POOOTTTTT!!!! We're all going to need a 12 step program after the Market ends and Hot Pot goes away 😭
Oh, Yes!
Bringing hotpot to the underground market makes so much sense, I'd be VERY surprised if S6 doesn't go that route.

Yep, have the same issue with the Chapaa Chase as well. That's why I exclusively play hot pot now.

I'm hoping it gets added to zeki's underground market !!!!

i just ended that hard ah egg quest cause my brain won’t let me continue till what i need next is checked off 💀i’m excited for hotpot

Do we need to hoard soy sauce? Will it be available after the festival?
Yes, it will be available at Zekis shop!
Crying, wish I knew this before I spent all my envelopes to hoard soy sauce 😂
Ty I honestly had to ask about how to play hotpot... embarrassing to admit... addicted now. ❤
Same had no idea how to play nd not I can’t stop
Yeah it is very addictive and I've already been thinking that it'll be a bummer when it goes away.
Can confirm I am a hot pot table hog! No ragerts.
Shout out from Biloxi MS!
Lmao I love Biloxi!
The Tower....I walked away lol
Hello! My name is Froggie...and im addicted to Hot Pot...lol Please dont save me😅 Chaappa who...what?
Love Hotpot, but wish the time between games and player moves was shorter.
is there an explaination as to why I play but its only possible for me to make 2 sets of 3 and 1 set of 2, how do people get that third set with the last card?
When you draw the last card of the third set, that finishes the game, and you are the winner!
You have to pull the last match from draw or if someone has it in their discard slot.
Ah, i see. I didnt realize that card counted towards the matches. Thanks 😊
I love the game itself but when the game is finished I have to restart the game every single time.
Is the 15 rounds new because I've had ones go up to 20 rounds.
No, it’s 20. I recorded this on flu brain and little to no sleep 😂. In my script, I had it 20 rounds and it just ends but I’ve never gotten past 15. My brain merged it all together. I am acknowledging my mistake next video

You definitely were!
I guess I'm a minority then, since I couldn't care less for Hot Pot.
Honestly, for the Market as a whole.
We love hotpot
What the heck is that card with the two white ovals on it? Are they egg whites? Flat, round dough? I don't get what they are.
It’s just eggs. But no worries, people have gotten confused with it. Someone legit asked if it was a shaved coconut 😂
I thought it was sliced
Potatoes 😂
I thought they were water chestnuts and could not reconcile that with them being included in the tofu/dumpling category
Hotpot game is only simplified Mahjong.
Hotpot is life!🎉
15 rounds? I got to 18 rounds last night
I meant 20 lol. Flu brain messed up when I read the script and even in editing, I just didn’t catch it! I’m going to acknowledge my mistake in the next video.
