According to the GPS, top speed is about 3.5 mph on flat water. This day was about 2.5 mph with choppy water. I've never depleted my batteries so I don't know the max duration. The most I've done is 6 miles and the batteries did seem to be weak when I finished. I've trolled for 12 hours off/on at low speed and the batteries were still going strong. I use 4x 12ah SLA batteries wired in parallel.
PaTricked Out Im sure alot of hobie owners would appreciate if u did that, I'm also planning to modify the watersnake onto the mirage drive. I don't know if I'm gonna go the remote route or take off the head completely and modify the same way u did, your video helps a lot, keep up the good work and happy fishing.
Nice set-up. I see you already have "CF #'s" on your Outback. I just built a similar T24S for my PA12, will have to look into getting CF #'s as well.

Did u ever have the motor on the kayak.. how fast were u moving ?
Sure covered a large distance a lot faster than paddling!
Do you have a wiring diagram for you setup?
+Walt Hundley I'll draw a diagram and post it tomorrow. Thanks for asking Walt.

What's your speed and how long did your battery last?

Ok... did u ever try to find out which trolling motor placement is faster, the one in the mirage drive or the one on the side ?
I don't recall if I tested that. It seems about the same. I'll have to test it and post a video.
