Mitchel Carter I tuned my Yamaha kit like this yesterday, but it's not mahagony, or whatever his kit is made out of. 11 is the highest I'll tune the bottom snare, and 13 for the top. sounds decent. I think I have my toms set at 8 for bottom and top. make sure you're not accidentally setting it to 18 instead of 8!
but the fact that the tuning is that far off makes no sense. the Evans keys are supposed to work like torque wrenches, which would mean that every one that I use should give me around the same tensioning no matter what drum or drum set I'm tuning it with.
doclogic different woods = different sounds. he doesnt have mahogany shells for no reason. also got to take in to factor his heads, and the fact that his kit is miced with the best mics on the market
Josh and Clayton...2 great guys!!! Thanks for being cool ALWAYS on Warped!!!
More of these!
Congratulations on your marriage great drummer amazing drum kit
I’ve owned the torque key since 2015 and I’m only now finding out what it does. That’s sick. Thanks Clayton
honestly really cool and informative!! keep it up dude
I need to get on your level in terms of content. Great videos!

nasty 10/10 burp 1:33
What is the name of that evans drum head on his snare?
oooo shit. this better mean drum cams from this show ;)
man who the fuck are y’all
Evans Ec2s and White coated .
That China looks like 15" to me , because those crashes rides and hats looked bigger .
What evans snare heads does he use ?
Nickson Agustin ec2 I think
Genera dry
Is that a 12-in rack Tom? It looks like a 14-in
What's he mean high torque vs low torque? I use that Evan's torque key too. Does he just mean 16 and 13, not 6 and 3 high torque?
doclogic same bruh I tried tunning my toms like that and it was the highest I've ever tuned my toms and sounds nothing like his kit

it's obviously not gonna sound like this is it, everykit is built is differently, even if theyre the same wood and etc.

Thumbs up for Clayton the drum roadie! Without him surely more stress for Josh.
Josh using a remo head. Heresy.
I kinda hate people who use two brands of drumheads. Or cymbals. But I don't hate Josh Manuel coz he's Josh Manuel and I like him.
Issues are so awful
Angus O'Malley then why are you here
At least appreciate their musical talent. Really talented dudes.
