JImmy's daughter, Mahalia Barnes, is a back- up singer in Joe's band- but she rides up front with Joe for "Riding with the Kings" which will melt your socks off. Also she borrows Joe for her group The Soul Mates on "Nasty Gal" which will curl your toes up. Peace, love and bellbottoms.
And the drummer is Jimmy's son Jackie.
Agree, "Nasty Gal" is a must-see.

Jimmy Barnes and John Farnham’s duet, When something is wrong with my baby is awesome. The hey hey, it’s Saturday live version Is the best. These two guys are Aussie legends. Jimmy also did a great duet with Tina Turner, Simply the best. Great to see you’ve discovered Jimmy. His daughter Mahalia Barnes also sings with the great Joe Bonamassa. Riding with the kings and Nasty Girl, will blow you away. The whole Barnes family is crazy talented.
I have a mental image of Farnsey & Barnsey singing this at a party, and their wives nagging them downstairs into the studio. 😆

You have just experienced two masters of their craft. Jimmy's family is the most talented musical family ever. His daughter Mahalia is fantastic and is singing backup here. Jimmy's son is on the drums. Jimmy's other son, David Campbell, is a great singer with a professional career here and in the US. I recommend you check out Mahalia and Joe Bonamassa 'Riding With The Kings" and Jimmy singing with his son David Campbell "You'll Never Walk Alone". His other daughters are also backup singers.
As soon as I saw this in my feed, I knew you were going to love it. This is an incredible song, and the performances from both Joe and Jimmy are outstanding. I'd love to be able to sing like Jimmy, his voice is priceless. Great reaction, thanks man. And thanks Sylvia for the suggestion.
Wild thing by jimmy is the best live performance I have seen.
Now that you have discovered Jimmy, you need to go down that rabbit hole as he is a brilliant singer. A little piece of trivia, Jimmy has two sets of vocal cords.
You need to also check out John Farnham as he is also a brilliant singer who can sing anything.

Jimmy Barnes and John Farnham, "When Something is Wrong With My Baby" also Johnny Diesel (Diesel) aka Mark Lizotte on guitar and backing vocals, is another brilliant singer with some great blues songs.

As a contrast, can I suggest seeing Jimmy young, wild and not quite sober doing 'Wild Thing' with his band Cold Chisel live at The Last Stand concerts in the early 1980s? It's one of the best live rock performances you will ever see. It really will blow your mind... 😂 Cold Chisel are AMAZING.

Jimmy Barnes has an unmistakeable voice. My wife and discovered him and Cold Chisel when we lived in Australia for a couple of years during the 90's. Jimmy is actually Scottish and moved to Australia with his family as a kid. So, naturally when he was playing a gig in Glasgow (his home town and where I live) I went along to see him. Imagine my surprise and delight when his lead guitarist for the gig turned out to be Angus Young from AC/DC, it was a truly magical night. If you love Joe Bonamassa, try the guitarist's guitarist, Jeff Beck. (RIP Jeff)

It's funny I was compiling a short list of great reactors to hit up with requests for Jimmy Barnes and Cold Chisel and you were number 1 on that list! And here you are doing Jimmy. Jimmy has one of the best soul and rock voices in the world - I kid you not, wait till you see what he is capable of. Check out his covers of A Change is Gonna Come (Jimmy Barnes) and Wild Thing (Cold Chisel), also Flame Trees (live from the Last Stand concert or the 2003 Ringside concert).
Jimmy and Marcia Hines singing Fire and Rain is also one of the best examples of his gentle deep crooning abilities.

If you love guitar - Cold Chisel Bow River - Jimmy Barnes is the front guy but in this Ian Moss sings first and he is an amazing guitarist - also the Harmonica player in Cold Chisel is phenomenal and Jimmy comes in singing too. Cold Chisel reformed for this tour of concerts in the ring - it's amazing you gotta watch this.

Jimmy's been gargling bricks since his late teens when he started his musical career. His voice is incredible, rough as guts when he wants to belt, and soft as velvet when he wants to cuddle. As his career is ongoing in his 60s he doesn't appear to have damaged his voice, lucky for his fans. And Jimmy, I'd like to see you and John do a version of When something is wrong with my baby while dressed in your hospital gowns!!! I think it would be a killer version !!!

You really NEED to react to Jimmy and his band Cold Chisel doing THE BEST cover of "Wild Thing". The lead guitarist, Ian Moss, is also a guitarist you'll love. The keyboard player from Cold Chisel, Don Walker, wrote "Stone Cold". The live performance of Wild Thing will definitely be the wildest rock band performance you have ever seen. Please don't miss it.
Australian Tommy Emmanuel is one of the best guitarists in the world. He has performed around the world, Check out his own composition, 'Initiation' and the classical 'Classical Gas'. Also, Aussie John Farnham is the GOAT of Aussie music and even Jimmy sings praises to him. John sings in over 20 genres of music. The Aussie Teskey Brothers have a fantastic soul-bluesy sound and play often in America. All are on YT. There ae many talented Australian singers and bands. ALWAYS choose the LIVE video performances of them.

Jimmy is definately one of our most beloved rockers here in Aus, not only with an oustanding solo career, but also as part of Cold Chisel, (formed 1973) with Ian Moss, another Aussie Singer who also went Solo.
Jimmy has been my life long favourite and as good as he sounds now, you should have heard him in the 80’s!! He is a rock singer but has always had a leaning toward blues and soul. He does an amazing cover of Sam Cooke’s, “Change Gonna Come”

Aussies, Jimmy Barnes and John Farnham are beloved Australian Icons. They are two of the best male vocalists in the industry.
Forgot to mention earlier. . .Jimmy joined Cold Chisel when his older brother, John Swann, moved on and suggested Jimmy as his replacement.....about 1975.
By 1979 Cold Chisel was Australia's favourite band , bigger than AC/DC.....with 2 top class leed singers in Jimmy Barnes doing the hard rock and guitarist Ian Moss taking the leed vocals on many ballads, with Jimmy adding superb backing vocals for Ian's leed.
By their breakup in 1983 and the Last Stand Tour.. they were Australia's most popular band ever and Jimmy was our most popular rock star ever, and in his late 60's he is still our favourite rock and soul singer .
Only John Farnham has a longer career here than Jimmy, and although John is recognised as The Voice and better singer, it is Jimmy who is the rock star.
