- Some customers are going into Chipotle with their cameras recording. They believe once the employees know they're being filmed, they'll dish out larger portions of food. The Chipotle challenge started after some customers complained about shrinkflation, claiming they were paying the same as they had in the past but getting less for their money. Chipotle's CEO denies that their portion sizes have gotten smaller.

I ordered Chipotle online ONCE, and got skimped bad.

You can't test its "consistency" only going ONCE... Especially since it varies on location . The one by my crib is absolutely trash and is consistently bad. But the one a couple miles over stack it up to the brim, and the food tastes fresh. It really just depends if the workers feel like working or not.
The thing is, it's not just chipotle. It's damn near everywhere.

A $20 lose isn’t a lot for a company compared to if they were losing thousands and so on, but it isn’t until then that they’ll revert their potions policy.
Not saying this don't work, but I'm surprised Chipotle hasn't put a stop to recordings since it's private property.

I’ve not done this ( yet about to tho ) but as a food service worker I don’t mind being recorded, infact id welcome the spotlight lol, I wouldn’t change how I work, because I’m proud of how I work. ( getting closer and closer to management for Publix luckily due to my performance actually )Even McDonald’s aka what we think or call cheap food, when. In reality is not.

It would be very uncomfortable for me to have strangers filming me at my place of work. I don't use social media and I don't post myself everywhere. I value my privacy. I would also feel anxious about the thought of the possibility of an abuser/harasser seeing it and figuring out where I was and worked. So, all I ask is that you ask for permission before recording someone on private property and respect it if they say "no" don't be pushy.

Businesses have a lot of operating expenses, and you'd be surprised to see how much profit actually is there after everything is said and done. If employees give less it's because a manager tells them to. So they're trying to keep their jobs.

I work as an aircraft mechanic for a major airline. Every time I do a call out and it’s something interior in the aircraft full of passengers. They always take pictures and videos of me working. It’s weird. Makes me uncomfortable and harder to focus on fixing your aircraft safely 🤷♂️

Regardless of cameras or not, there must be a standard guideline for volumes on every dish.
Chipotle's practice of cutting back on food has made me stop going there a few years ago. NEVER go thru their drive thru or order to-go because you'll be surprised how little food you get when you get home or back to the office with your order.

Ha this is like in Mexico where if you pay for a liter of gasoline you only get 3/4 of a liter but if you had a camera recording the whole transaction they would blame it on the pump and make it rigth to you and give you the whole liter, which is what you payed for in the first place.

They have gotten smaller. I was on keto and tried a keto bowl but they didn't have veggies to give me and they told me if they gave me more meat they would charge me double. This is in Mesquite, Nevada.

How is this "challenge" better than asking to put a little more. My experience is that chipotle workers ask me if that’s enough.

It’s body language. The best thing to do is to ask for more but know that it’ll be an up charge. I cook my food at home and avoid this problem.

This happened at my old work place, we told our boss if customers keep entering our restaurant and filming and taking emoyee's picture without consent then we would walk off the job or quit, customers stop coue days later.
Camera use in store without prior permission should result in being trespassed.
