- Restaurants serve lobster in rolls, soup, ravioli and even on pizza - and diners are willing to pay a premium for the delicacy. But an INSIDE EDITION investigation has found that you might not always be getting the real deal. INSIDE EDITION visited 28 restaurants around the county scooped out meat from a variety of lobster dishes and sent it off to a lab. It emerged that in 35 percent of the samples, the lab found cheap substitutes instead of lobster. #InsideEdition

@@JohnWickkkk this video just makes red lobster look bad but there's a perfect exemption first of all what they ordered was some soup thing and I'm sure it was suppose to have that cheap lobster in it as a mix cuz it was never just lobster and that explains why some of the soup had that cheap lobster and regular lobster, its a shame that people have to make other people look bad just for a story
they gave us red lobsters response at the end but you have to understand it’s different when it comes to a chain. it’s more centralized so the location manger most likely doesn’t have much control over supply. a response from corporate, like the one that was given, is a more accurate portrayal of the chain in general.
This is actually pretty scary. I have a brother that’s severely allergic to fish, but can eat shellfish (weird I know). So learning that some restaurants use fish to replace lobster is kinda freaking me out.
Yes my aunt can eat shellfish but not fish and they use fish oil in a lot of non fish products

Right, at the end of the day, you're either going to pay a lot more or you're going to eat a substitute. There's a lobster food truck where I live and I got a lobster roll there once and it was pretty good, but I won't get it again because it cost too much for me aha

Fun fact: a lobster has been proven to have the same functions of a bug and the nervous system of grasshoppers and ants. It makes sense really because I mean they crawl on the ocean floor like a bug and somewhat resemble a scorpion. Found this out right before I was about to eat lobster. Took me a while to explain why I was twitching with every bite I took. I know this is kinda off the wall but I found it cool

You know she's right. The only way to know for sure is to get it DNA tested. So the other night I got all dressed up, took the wife and kids to an upscale lobster joint and asked for the lobster. Once it came to the table we didn't take a single bite. Whipped out the bags, bagged it up, labeled it, and went home. We'll find out if it's lobster in about 6 to 8 months. What a great night.

it's simple. You go to the lab, engineer flavor that tastes like lobster, mix that with the cheese, and it tastes like lobster. That's how most chain restaurants do it, and 100% of McDonalds is lab created flavor. There's no real taste to any of their food.
