The website says there’s a minimum order of 15 buckets per order, per color. So if I want some blue, white and yellow, I have to buy minimum 45 buckets and that’s $8k for water based. If I need the same 3 colors for oil based, that’s another 45 buckets…. So to stripe at all, it’s an automatic 90 buckets at over $18k, not including taxes or shipping. Not including the machine or stencils.
Just so you know guys I bought a striping machine through asphalt kingdom early June and told me a 5 day wait for my machine.. 5 days past they said 30 days more okay not a big deal then 30 days later they say another 60 days until shipping ETA and they weren't even sure about that. I hope I didn't get ripped off so ima wait it out and hope I don't have to take legal action.. they might say they have all the paints but who knows how long to receive them..just saying
Bought one through Sherman Williams , and the estimated time was 60 days minimum. And that was their Commercial Store that deal basically in rigs and high amounts of paint. I went with the graco 3400 because it’s a machine I’m very familiar with.
I've been ripped off a few times and a common tactic is to repeatedly delay the transaction until any statutes of limitation are expired. I'm using that term loosely, but seeking a remedy through a credit card fraud claim, through the courts, or through some other venue will all have some sort of time limitation of when you can file a claim. Covid1984 has changed the supply chain for the worse, so don't assume they are ripping you off, but you need to look out for yourself and that includes not allowing them to wait out the clock to your detriment.
Personally, I’ve used paint purchased from Asphalt Kingdom and it’s probably the worst I have ever ran they my machine. After straining a 5 gallon bucket of the paint into another 5 gallon bucket I had about 3.5 gallons left that was usable. Do some research and look around if your going to purchase a painter/striper. There are a lot of suppliers/distributors with lower prices!
I have a store I go to for paint and for a 5 gallon bucket of solvent paint it's 250 plus tax. Crazy. I don't like water based paints. They just don't last
Awesome video. Was watching a lot of your pressure watching videos. Then I searched paint stripping and I see your all over that as well. Keep kicking ass !
It’s all about who you know. Building a strong relationship with your rep is so important. These stores would claim to be empty but have pallets of shit reserved for the big guys
I’m feeling it, I got the equipment, enclosed trailer, stencils, odd and end tools. Went to get paint and nothing.. now nervous to start knocking and hunting jobs cause of the lack of paint. Was able to finally get some latex but it’s fall and preferably like to use oil. If I was buying from y’all how does shipping work, those 5,s have some weight to them?
PPG makes most all the paint for the brand names you are familiar with. Energy costs and access is killing them. You think paints expensive now? Wait for a few weeks.
Hey forever self employed I love your content and your an inspiration. I want to get into this when I move back to Missouri once my lease is up but a lot of my money until then will be tied up with moving. I was wandering if I decide to buy your pressure washing blueprint in a few months will it be on sale then as well? Your the main source of information I go to and I just found out about these businesses less than a week ago and I want to catch that course before it goes back to your normal price. Any hints as to when I should buy it would be appreciated greatly. But I also get it if you don’t drop any.
Hey SirCartier, yes forever self-employed does give you some awesome content... If you also want to also look up Billy Davidson on UA-cam, he also has great content also.... But Billy Davidson does do power washing and soft washing and also Line striping also.... Now far as I know forever self employed and also Billy Davidson also has works with Asphalt Kingdom and they both have their training on that website also...Now a FYI check out Asphalt Kingdom website and see what their prices is and also both of these fine gentlemen post specials on the vids and sometimes it doesn't show on Asphalt Kingdom....Hopes this helps my man.... Have yourself a wonderful day!!!!
Stencils are the only way to go, taping is so inefficient in time and paint wasted, I only taped a bit on my very first job and said no way. I was also wondering why he was hand spraying so far away from the surface, 6 inches should be about the max for control and proper paint coverage .
Depends one how thick you’re applying and what paint you’re using. A 5 gallon bucket of sherwin Williams set fast usually goes abt 1500. 1000 linear ft for firelane
Hey there. Just wondering how is it that I could communicate with this guy is using the 850 time and parking I have one and I need some tips can you help me out
Striping paint is last on Sherwin Williams list because of the catch up they are playing due to relying on a resin manufacturing plant that shut down in Texas when they had that freak deep freeze. Yes for volume and sales striping paint is one of the last on there list. I have heard there are plans for SWP to make there own resin plants. Its smart for them to use an outside vendor/ supplier for paint at this time. Congrats to Judd for landing that with them. I hope there isn't any red tape going on however. I hear there is quite a wait time with product from Asphalt kingdom.

What do you do with pressure washing wastewater? I live in Ohio and it’s illegal to have wastewater and chemicals run down storm drains.
Do it at 2 in the morning. 😬
I have a 4 door sedan can I use that for this?
I’ll keep u updated with more paint companies that u can get from cus I work with a company that does roads parking lot and cross walks etc

I have plenty of paint just lacking in jobs.
Grow!!!
The most satisfying part is after the tape is lifted, showing the finished result... there was none of that in this video :(
Hey man around what area of Louisiana are you from? I’m moving to Hammond and if you’re in that area I’m just not gonna try pressure washing 😂
Why do you plate every line? And also why tape every arrow instead of finding a stencil or some such

Inspirational as always! #Grow
Wow, maybe thats why our town has a bunch of newly resurfaced streets with no stripes. 😳
Do you paint in the winter? Bro!
How do you calculate the total paint needed per job?
