Man, as someone who is in the parking lot striping industry I’m not too sure how you charged 10k for that. That’s a very small job. Wish we were able to charge those prices.
@@dinamiteurdinamiteur2324 I would have charged maybe 1-3 grand for that. Don’t have time to actually quote it out. I didn’t know that included the power washing of the concrete and building. That’s a reasonable price for everything.
Question I made 100 brochures for snow removal , fall cleanup, and atleast 25 other services. I put them all out, not a single person called me. I put them out on September 15th, any tips or advice, it's pretty disheartening and makes me feel shitty that nobodies calling me

What pressure setting do you use? And what brand of paint do you use? Ive been having trouble with my PL 850 dialing in the right pressure and thickness of paint.
hi, good channel i have a question , i just bought a used 800 power liner (titan, its a older model for the 850) , it does not have a pressure adjustment ( i have several regular electric paint sprayers )on the manual says take it to the repair service to adjust the pressure, do you have or know more about the 800 model ? i couldnt find videos
Just wondering the guys doing the parking lot striping what kind of tip did they use for that machine that 850 tighten and what kind of paint did they use? Did they have the pressure up or low for the sprayer new to this industry trying to get all the help I can get
I use a graco line laser for striping but usually paint between 1000-1250 psi, it depends on how fast you are walking and moving with the machine. Faster speed higher psi, if you’re moving slower and trying to be precise, Lower psi so you don’t spray too much paint in one spot and waste material. In terms of paint you can use oil based, acetone based and water based. Oil and water take a lot longer to dry though and in my opinion acetone based is the easiest and most consistent paint to work with, also dries much faster like 5-10 mins. Don’t mix different paint bases cuz it will curdle the paint. If you want to switch Colors or paint type of a machine you can use a bucket of acetone and run it through the machine and the gun until it sprays clear with acetone.
How much pressure do you use? I have had an issue with my 850 since I bought it last year. The lines get narrow and widen on there own as I’m striping a line.
I’m really new to the industry. I’m not quite sure what you mean by hitting the bypass and letting all the air out. can you explain that a little differently. I tried looking up that phrase online and there isn’t anything that tells me how to do that. I know that I saw a video talking about lines doing the hourglass shape and it was regarding the hose, but he didn’t tell me how to let out all the air.
Hey have you had instances where your titan machine gets stick and you have to twist the tip to unclog mode then back to spray mode? really troublesome for me.
Clean and grease your tips after every job, helps to soak em in acetone too over the weekend to keep bits of paint out. Flathead screwdriver works great to clean em
@@dfig2569 love all the advice. How do you grease the striping tip? I went and bought a Graco tip and I’m going to try it on my 850. They are more expensive than a Titan tip so I want to make sure it stays in the best shape possible.
You guys your that titan a lot. Seems like even for a small machine it can handle large jobs? Also you y'all use water based paints instead of oil based for a reason? I thought oil based would be the way to go? Any insight would be great!

I think it's time to upgrade to a serious machine. Atleast a Graco 3400 or even better 3900. This is a field marking machine.
For sure that is a baby machine, best would be a Graco 3900
Along with stencils, then his whole game will change.
If it aint broke, don't fix it.
Nice lines man great content !
What kind of plaint is that?
Where to buy it ?
And thé machine? What is the name

How you charge for the handicap? Do you charge separately for the van accessible slant strips? Or 1 price a stall?

Where are you located? I would like to come see how you stipe parking lots!
You should add grit on the slanted walkway.
Just throw on sand? Or is there some other way? Honestly curious as I am looking to start a striping business. Thanks

Great job if that was a 10k account! Shingles for parking curves/bumps, they lay down heavier, along with being thinner to get more of the curve.
You saying this, Ice and water shield for long straight runs. Reusable too.

what machine are you using in this video?
Id like to have a picture of striping caught in the rain on hand to show any customers that is wanting it done immediately.
Maybe you can get yourself an actual striping machine now!

If you are using water based paint you should bag it before using it

Justin, are they using a Titan striping tip or a grace striping tip.
for that line in Graco you use a 3-19 tip in yellow
I want to start but I don't think I'll be able to fit that machine in the backseat of my car :(
