I love Band Maid. They’ve worked so hard and sacrificed so much. And they still act like we’re doing them a favor by watching them play!? It’s so easy to cheer for people like this
Miss Luna, I agree with you 100%. Saiki went super nova! She was at the absolute peak of her powers this night. She owned the building and everybody in it.. And She always sounds better live for some reason. Love the channel.
Anastasia, It's great seeing you get another opportunity to react to my favorite Band-Maid in the world. You are dead on with your analysis of Saiki's voice during that concert. She WAS on fire!!!!! That bass/ guitar duel should go down in the annals of rock history as one of the best duels from any kind of instruments. It is absolutely amazing and DOES showcase how talented th Maids are!
I retire this year. I plan to travel to see this band next year - including Japan! Still trying to figure out why this band in particular hits me differently than every other band I have listened to in my life.
To me what make them stand out is their sincerity and the total absence of ego. They love each other, their music and the fun they're having! Never saw that anywhere else in that great measure. My two cents, 70 here 😁
That is probably the best compliment you could have given.... as a musician yourself, Band-Maid makes YOU want to work harder being a musician. These ladies just rock. Full Stop!!!!!!
Thanks for your comment. The drums, bass, lead guitar, main vocals, and chorus are all great. I think they're probably the best rock group right now. The most amazing thing is that the lead guitarist has composed over 130 songs, and the rhythm guitarist has written the lyrics. Furthermore, there are no boring songs in this song. Their songs are diverse, so please enjoy them.
My introduction to Band-Maid was Real Existence (live) and I loved Saiki's voice. There are vocalists who can sing flawlessly every time, with amazing range, can growl like a death metal singer. She doesn't have that. She's not a pop princess, but has the powerful rock voice with sultry note. I don't play their CD too often, rather I convert their concert dvds into audio format and listen to them regularly.
You know Midori, Asami and Haruna from Lovebites were there? The arena had a walkway around it that different maids walked around during some of the songs. At one point Saiki walks past the Lovebites members and waves at them.
Saiki's voice has definitely changed over the past two years or so. It has some extra weight or authority that it didn't used to have and she sounds more powerful now. I don't know if that's from age or training or what. I do know she's been careful with her voice since the surgery, so I wonder if she's been feeling stronger lately. She definitely went full power for Yokohama! The band also sounds a lot more confident since they started doing US festivals.
Hey Honey.....love the reaction !!!!! Misa and Kanami were on fire.....BUT lets give some love to Akane on drums !!!!!! She was totally on fire through this whole song !!!!!! Now you know how she earned the nickname Gorilla !!!!!!! I stayed up all night to watch this live online and it was well worth it !!!!! You should check out Endless Love which was the last song after 3 1/2 hours at this concert. Brings me to tears every time I watch it !!!!!!!!
Willie Nelson, if memory serves, had two drummers. One was named Paul. He was asked by an interviewer, ss head of security if he carried a gun. He said yes. Then he was asked if they could see the gun and he said Which one? Not just a drummer. Now the following is pure conjecture on my part but I think Miku is fulfilling a role we don't get to see. I think she is the point of the spear. Would you want to go up against her in a contract negotiation? Or a poker tournament? Remember the Gold Rush interview when her band members described her as a middle-aged man on the inside? I think all Maidiacs owe Miku Kobato thanks and appreciation for BandMaid still being here. AND she sings while playing the guitar and writes most of the lyrics while being the MC! I admire her so very much!
It's astonishing isn't it? You have the best drummer and bassist, the best composer/lead guitarist combo, the new and improved Saiki who has apparently decided to become one of the worlds best frontpersons, and our little pigeon Miku, holding it all together from the jump, and filling in all the gaps. Hollywood wouldn't touch this script too unbelievable, too many coincidences, too many things having to fall into place. Thank go d truth IS stranger than fiction.
Damn, I feel blessed to live near LA. The tickets for their show in Anaheim were only like $50-70, I ended up paying $300 but I brought 3 friends who'd never heard them. Honestly I wasn't convinced they'd be as good live as their live videos make them seem like they'd be, but actually they were even better. I'm so bummed they don't seem to be touring this year, but it's understandable since they're gearing up to release a new album.
Thanks Anastasia! They first pulled out the bass-guitar duo out at Lollapalooza 2023, and I remember being dumbstruck. But at Yokohama, we got everything: great sound, way better camera work, tons of fans. Saiki really did shine during that show, especially amazing considering the crap she's been through over the years with the vocal cord polyp surgery, rehab, etc.
Sorry, but no they didn´t. I was at the Tokyo concert on July 3rd last year and they already played the bass guitar part there. Lollapalooza was in August 2023.
You hit the nail on the head ... it's not just that they are goddesses of music, that they are the best band on the planet, but they make the world a better, joyful place. Really great reaction, Anastasia! 🤘🤘🙌🙌
I agree with you on Saiki's voice for this concert. She's on a different level for this show. And it was a 3-hour show! You need to get the concert Blu-ray!
I feel a genuine love for them. For all other good bands, admiration. For Band-Maid, love. About ticket prices, you got scammed. It was never over $60 each. Keep sharp attention about the sales date, and buy them right away.
I agree with your comments, Band-Maid is just special. So versatile and excels at everything they choose to do. Thanks for your great reaction and I enjoy your music as well!

Hi Anastasia. Talking about the price of tickets. I’m seeing Lovebites in London on July 1st and the venue only holds 600 people. Ticket price. £25.00. Excited doesn’t cover it.
Lovebites is my fav band, however B-M is fire as well. One of the best dueling solos ever. That bass tone is incredible. Saiki has really matured into her frontwoman role.
the guitar bass battle is more of a male bass voice arguing with a female lead guitar voice that devolves into shouting over each other until finally the bass leaves leaving kanamis' guitar still ranting
The Yokohama video is better in every technical way, but there's something I like about the Lolla video. I don't know if it's the energy or the rawness or the fact that they were on stage at a US festival without a lot of rock/metal acts and thousands of unsuspecting folks got their faces melted that morning, but by the time Kanami's doing the tapping I'm thinking "stop! stop, can't you see you've already killed them!?"
I was about to say "How have you not reacted to Hate? yet ?" Thank you for supporting the greatest rock band on the planet. Edit As far as the cost being expensive... - Im in the southeast and Band-Maid didn't play near me so I flew to Houston and Denver to see them. Houston is an 8 hour drive but f-that. I flew.
I was stationed in korea and japan in the army I was going back for a few months then covid hit but I dont know if I can do the 15 hour flights I did see them here in washington D.C. a few October's ago its cheaper to live in the phillipines or thailand like you if I go im not coming back!❤❤
Thanks from Japan 有難う💛。 I witnessed this very performance at the venue on Nov.26, last year. Very exciting 3-hour-40-minute-long show with 33-song setlist. (Happy fatigue thereafter 😍) Please react to "Endless Story" from the same show that performance will, I believe, make you weepy. 😄

Thank you wintersun Alex. ❄️❤️🌹🤟
Hey, totally with you, have watched this dozens of times and happy to watch it again with you. Last time I saw them, we were just feet away from MISA, and we knew this song was coming. For those who never get tired of different takes, here's my capture of the "battle": ua-cam.com/video/EvW-m4Sziaw/v-deo.html
If you like metal, you may want to check out Native Howl. They call their style Thrash Grass. They are from Eastern Michigan, home of Ted Nugent, Bob Seger, Alice Cooper, Iggy Pop, and Kid Rock (as well as Motown). Their song Mercy featuring Lzzy Hale (who was one judge of a talent contest They entered and won) is great! Check them out!
I´m pretty sure regular Band-Maid tickets will never cost 300 $, unless you go for a super-duper mega VIP-package or being late and looking for scammer tickets.
Of course these days, if you want to be on the rail or nearly there, you have to buy the super-VIP tix. Even if you buy regular VIP and line up at 6 AM, the whales will get in first and ensure you're five rows deep.
@@chrisbergsten1429 yes, that's probably true. But that was not what she was talking about. She said she wanted to go to a concert (not VIP, not at the rail) and the tickets were so expensive they cost 300$. That's why I said regular tickets would never cost this much.
Your BAND-MAID reaction video is shown at the 8:08 mark of this video. -> “BAND-MAID sits down with FOX 5 to talk US fans, music and more” by FOX 5 New York They watched you!
Just a thought but Band-Maid, like other great musicians of the past. feed off the energy of their audience. To play a 3 1/2 hour concert - aMAIDzing!!!!!
It's not a guitar and bass solo, nor is it a battle. It's an argument. Taking the context of the lyrics and the aggressive attack at the beginning, look at the bass as the guy, and the guitar as the girl, in an intense argument. The bass starts off, "complaining about something". The guitar answers back. The bass continues to berate the guitar, but the guitar merely mocks the bass and then they both just begin yelling at each other, until the guitar eloquently finishes the argument and has the last word and the bass mumbles. Saiki then adds that extra angry final Lalalala (which I picture her stomping her foot down hard) to finally say, YES! I HATE YOU! I don't know if that's what they had in mind when they wrote those bass and guitar solos, but in my imagination, that's exactly how I envisioned it. I've been in enough bad relationships to recognize an argument when I see one😂😂😂😅😊
