Being close enough to Saiki to hear her sing this outside the PA system is something I’ll never forget. She’s better than this now, somehow a little deeper tone and more controlled. Seeing Kanami just lose herself in the solo was equally epic. You should see Band-Maid live in as small a venue as possible while they are at the very pinnacle of their abilities. It’ll be a lifelong memory.

As a very old rock fan I have listened to this song hundreds of times. I have yet to listen to this song without feeling the emotion when Miku sings the backing of 'Daydreaming, dreaming I love you' and repeats it. But then this band just has it all. They can twist the emotions, make you smile and then make you stamp your feet and punch the air. The band that saved music for me personally. After 12 years together they still manage to make every song an occasion to look forward to and enjoy.

Andrea, you do have a beautiful voice! Since you live in Japan, you should try to catch one of their live concerts at the end of November. They often include "Daydreaming" in their setlist for concerts. It's a fan favorite. Two other beautiful ballads by the group are "Smile", the official live video, and "Memorable", the official music video from the Band-Maid UA-cam channel. They are very generous in sharing their music with reactors and fans.
If you enjoy hard driving rock music with Motorhead vibes, you should react to "Clang" and "Moratorium" the official live music videos for each song. They are the kind of songs that make you get in your car, crank up the stereo and proceed to break the speed limit.

Seen them live multiple times and they are absolutely one of THE best live bands I've ever seen in my 60 years.
Hi to a fellow resident of Japan (I can see the kanji on the cooker behind you). I enjoyed your reaction to the Maids. They have well over a hundred songs in their repertoire in many different genres, though most of them are faster paced than "Daydreaming." All of them are fun to listen to and they are especially enjoyable to see live. I hope to see more of your reactions to them. If you'd like something at a similar tempo to this song, try "Awkward" or "Endless Story."

This is one of the rare songs where I never felt the need to look up the translation of the lyrics. All I've ever needed was Miku singing "Daydreaming, dreaming of you" and I can fill in the blanks with my own thoughts and memories. And every time I hear it it's always different.
One of the best power ballads by the best band out there. Years old but I will never tire of it. Really liked the snippet of your own song too. You have a beautiful voice.

signature model guitar and it sold out in 12 hours !!!! It was so cool that that all her band mates were at the presentation (Nov 20) to

BAND-MAID is a five-member girl rock band. This year marks their 12th anniversary. The members have not changed. They are a hard rock band and are considered by fans to be one of the best hard rock bands in the world. They usually have 23 songs and 2 hours of live performances. They were formed in Japan in 2013 by side guitarist Miku Kobato. Miku had experience working at a maid cafe in Akihabara, Tokyo, and came up with the idea of playing cool music in maid outfits. That's why the band was named BAND-MAID. "Thrill" was their first music video in 2014, and six months later, it suddenly achieved 2 million views in two weeks, avoiding disbandment and deciding to become a hard rock band. They have also performed overseas and are gaining more fans. Currently, they write, compose, and arrange all of their songs themselves. They have 140 original songs. They have 60 songs published on their official You Tube, and all of them are killer songs.

I saw Band-Maid perform "Daydreaming" live at St. Andrews Hall in Detroit last year. I was about three rows back from Kanami while she played that electrifying solo. They are awesome live.

Over 150 songs and this is top 3 cross the entire catalog. It is a damn near perfect song. It moves well and the musical emotion is dead on with the feel of the lyrics. The solo is the emotional release. Be sure to read the English lyrics to get the full effect.

Really nice reaction. Musicians really give great reactions since you guys have much better developed hearing and can pick out so many things.
There's something about this song that makes it special. I was lucky to see them in 2022 in Seattle and amidst all the hard bangers they played, this song still stood out and was memorable.

Andrea , the video was filmed in Taiwan in 2016 , that was before Saiki had her vocal cord polyp surgery in 2017 , I've heard Daydreaming live twice , saiki`s voice is Amazing live .
Thanks for the reaction. Daydreaming was released on the single "Choose Me" (another great song - was used in the Netflix movie "Kate") around the time that Saiki (main singer) had vocal cord polyp surgery. At the time she was having extreme problems with her voice and kept putting it off out of fear, but it got so bad she finally had to get it done and it turned out great as she also got a new vocal coach to help her restore her voice. The video was shot in Taiwan and was colored to look like being inside of a dream. The song is about a failed relationship and wanting to stay in the dream of it. Although I love Daydreaming just the way it is and believe it may be Band-Maid's best composed and overall accessible song, I've always wondered if it was sung in English, how deep in the international market Daydreaming would have traveled...? Andrea, Daydreaming is glorious, indeed.
But I also recommend you hear the latest from the Maids to better understand how they’ve grown and improved. Saiki and Miku’s voices are better than ever. And Kanami, Misa, Miku & Akane have continued to grow as instrumentalists, as well.
Live is best but the OMV’s and straight Audio (see Releases tab on UA-cam channel) are great, too.

Nice reaction and great breakdown of what you were hearing. "Daydreaming" my favorite Band-Maid song. And you are not alone in loving this song. Kanami's rock ballad masterpiece. The solo, surprised many, if not all people I've known and watched. Goosebumps on goosebumps. The first time I heard it, I don't know how many times I replayed that AMAZING solo. In Okyu-ji in the yesteryears I hear Kanami played piano intros to this song. I would love to see that again. Yet, her solo intro to Daydreaming at the 10th Anniversary Tour Finale at Yokohama Arena...WOW...just WOW. A tribute to her recently passed grandmother, it was something to behold. PO!🕊 🤘😆🤘

Band Maid is my favorite rock band across the world. Their music is just so perfect. I have seen them live in Los Angeles and it is amazing on how well they play live. The only group I like even more would be mamamoo(korean group not a rock band, they sing pretty much everything) but that is because they are 4 extremely talented vocalists who can sing live seeming better than recorded. Bandmaid plays live so well it is just unreal and there are so few groups who can play live and better Band maid has written most of their own music after the 3rd album at least.

If you are in Japan, why are sitting on your duff in your apartment. Japan has many, many live music venues with hundreds of bands performing live.
You talk to much about you and not the song.
Amazing group of five talented musicians from Japan. The worst part about him is stomaching the fan base. A bunch of back slappers know it all circle jerkers etc. They think their comments are just as important as the music that this band puts out. You will see in the comments section over time when I'm talking about. Happy New Year to you and yours.
