GOING ELECTRIC! Why the Husqvarna EE 5 was one of the most brilliant bikes to ever be produced!

Are you a parent that has a 5-6 year old who loves riding motocross and is ready for the "next step up bike", but are concerned what that brings with it? I was! And this is my story...
I was faced with all of these questions when I realized my son Rennen wasn't just about playing around in the yard or hitting the occasional practice day at the track.
"Do you keep them on the PW50 even thought they're way too big for it and it's getting dangerous?"
"Do you move up to a CRF50 that is really just a play/trail bike and not competitive at the track?"
"Do you jump to a Cobra or KTM/Husky 50cc gas bike and shoulder the maintenance time and cost?"
or
"Do you bite the bullet and spend the money on the capable bike that can be ridden in your own backyard or neighborhood any day of the week, and any time, with almost no maintenance other than the chain?"
The choice I made was clear to me with as many sticks in the fire as I have going right now. I think it's something all parents with kids that are interested in riding should consider as you'll quickly find the benefits will soon save you the difference in cost in both time and money. - Авто та транспорт
your son got some taste, I'm getting close to 50 and going to get a Svarpilen 401 as my main ride, easy to handle and enough power for me
Thanks! I’m super interested in that bike as well, but don’t ride on the road enough at the moment to make it worth pursuing. Maybe in the future though, I really like the looks of it and engine package
Your son has good taste in bikes ;)
And expensive! Lol
Electric dirt bikes have a huge advantage in today’s world. Can’t wait for Honda’s CR-E to come out!
The only disadvantage this bike has over anything is that the battery will run down, but I’d say it’s about a gas tank full of ride time. An hour break is needed to recharge over the time it takes to refill a tank, but it that’s the only disadvantage is that time difference. I don’t mind it for the time I save on maintenance!
2 years later do you guys still have it and does your son still love it? Thinking hard about getting this. Great video!
Great video!
We’re picking one up this weekend.
Got a question for you that I can’t find anywhere, do you know if I can use an inverter with my car at the track? If not, do you know the ideal size generator to get for it?
Thanks!
Wish you had bought the cobra, as I don't see many UA-cam channels reviewing them... and I think the cobra would eat this electric bike but I'm interested to see your pros.
Actually had a Cobra JR and it was the reason I got this! Lol! The cobra might have an edge in top speed, but since we’re not hardcore racing, I value more seat time than race laps, so this is the clear winner
Been riding my LEM 50 for 2 years never change the oil or anything, ripper
I enjoy your channel and watch most of them but have “0” interest in electric motorcycles
I didn’t either until it meant my son being able to practice and ride everyday in my backyard if he chooses. Neighborhood knows none the different, he becomes a better rider faster. For the street? Nah. For my particular situation? No brainer
@@John5XR I don’t disagree, it was fun watching him in the video. I’m old and old school and will never accept the electric movement or the Green BS!
I’m with you too, I’m a lifelong racer and LOVE my two strokes! (Have a 79’ RM250 I race), so gasoline runs through my blood.
