    You don’t need a liter or weights using a flying c? And you just jig a little and real slow with the flying c? Trying to learn the method!

    I'd like to see video of these complainers the first time they caught a salmon or any other species like how ro handle a sting ray or shark. Ya its a learning process. Being great at anything takes practice, trial and error and yea doing research. I bet you he does better next time. He obviously cares about the fish he even admits in his video when he states I hope the fish survives.

    Nice catch, and great to see it released. My only note would be to not leave the clipped line on the ground. When you clip the knot, put the clipped line in your bag for the trash later. 😉

    Ideally for salmon fishing try stick to a barbless single hook , and like everyone else said also you spent too much time cleaning yourself while you had a fish lying on the sand cooking away running out of air , need to get them back in the water quicker

    This is my opinion ok. This guy has obviously never done this before. first he didnt play the fish, second, he dragged it all around the sand and put his fingers in its gills. thirdly, when he did go to unhook it he had his foot on the fish. there is nothing sportmanlike about this video. if he inteded to keep the fish and dispatch it then the other issues would have just made him look like he was hunting for food. the fact he intended to release the fish, un educated shows that he has no respect for the fish or the sport. there are too many anti fishing/hunting goons out there now and this video doesnt really give us sporting respectful fishermen and hunters a good name does it??

      Tom Harris, it's just a fish, NOT a soul. And speaking of souls, where are you going to spend eternity after you die? Heaven or Hell? Do you think you deserve Heaven? No one does, because we've all sinned against GOD by lying, stealing, coveting, lusting if not fornicating or committing adultery physically, and by taking GOD'S name in vain to name just a few. Please, if you value your never dying soul (which you should) REPENT and trust solely in JESUS CHRIST who died on the cross, was buried, and rose again the 3rd day. If you die in your sins you will perish in Hell forever.

      Lol that fish swam off and died, if you stick anything in the gill it's going to die, if you are to scared to touch a fish buy some gloves. Dragging a fish on the sand and stepping on it is also very bad for the fish. Just because a fish swims off does not mean it survived. If you are not going to keep a fish then let it go the right way so the fish can go lay it's eggs, we are about 5 years away complete total closure on that river due to the low numbers of salmon on that river. It's not a bad thing to be educated. I mean if he really had to handle the fish that way he could have just given it to one of the guys fishing down the way, at least it wouldn't have gone to waste

    @theexotichomestead1961 Рік тому

    Yea not the way to go about it if you want to release. First off you completely destroyed the slime coat by covering him in sand. Second you grabbed him by the gills then tossed him on the ground. Third you are using barbed hooks which tears them up. Then you step on him to get the hook out. Its almost like a 5 year old catching a fish, im SUPRISED it swam away but I know it died the next few days. What a great fisherman you are. Would have had no problem if you kept it for dinner just saying!! Rubber net, keep them in the water and barbless hooks for catch and release.....
