Yes very good explanation watch out for the bird ball and the sea lions and they're the fish will be feeding on other little fish. I caught thousands of Salmon. As a retired commercial fisherman out of SF. Crabbing is much harder, working 18 hours day and night running that block. I live on my sailboat in the Oakland Estuary and I have no interest in fishing! I will take friends and the kids out on my boat to fish though. Thanks for posting

I use those flash and glo spinner it’s a great spinner I have caught many salmon on it! I have a very special retrieve that’s Dino might !

Most tackle shops will carry these lures, fisherman warehouse on Folsom Blvd has a good amount of stock and also I got the rod from basspro shops in Rocklin. It’s a st croix premier 7’ medium heavy mod fast
Have you been back out ? Any ? Do you know if anyone is catching at your spot?
I’ve been out daily for about two hours. Haven’t had any luck but I’ve probably seen about 3-4 fish this week per 10-15 anglers.
I have not caught a fish with flying C? Do you cast and let it sit for a few then retrieve?
depends on the area, ifs its shallow I retrieve right away if its a deep area I let it sink just a bit. good luck out there!

You use 12 lb line for King Salmon?
Yep. I’ll run 15 in faster current water but most of the time just 12 lbs

12lb will work fine. Using your drag right so the fish can run and get tired is more important. Don't have a tight drag and horse him in. Grab your main line with your hand and pull out smoothly, not too tight or loose. I buy Stren 300 yd. 12lb green tint mono at Walmart for $6.99 and tie a barrel swivel with a palamor knot. Then a 24 to 30 inch leader of 20lb Seaguar flurocarbon line at Walmart for $10.99 which is invisible line and tie to a swivel, then to my Flying C and connect to my main line. I retie my main line everytime I go fishing and never had problems with big Salmon.
The jet skiers are the WORST!
I really like using the silvertron version of the flying c. No luck yet though so who knows 🤷🏻♂️😂😂
