Not really. Nixon only resigned from office due to the time of his presidency. It was an age when politicians were considered very trust worthy, unlike now. He accomplished some impressive things actually, and watergate wasn't actually as contracted to him as people think, nor was it a big deal especially in modern times, if ur had happened today no one would have cared, it's all about timing. Plus it came after and during Vietnam a time when Americans were already very cautious about trusting
