I have this scooter for about i year now .
Man this is such a great buy !
I dont regret it at all !
Runs so good , start immediatly , brakes are good , comfort is great , enough storage space , superbe fuel consumption ( 2.0L- 2.2 L/100km ) tires a great , its just super !!
And with the right gear its not that cold on a scooter !
I drive it every day to work ( about 30km total ) .

Have you done some longer distance with it? I am seriously into buying it, i would also do the ocassional out of city driving, 150-200km.
@@apesic6 i only use it for work , but i have watched a video on youtube of a guy and he does a roadtrip in europe so its perfect for longer distances to !

best motorcycle scooter I have ever owned . quite nippy as well. . my mate just paid £2100 for a lexmoto aura . told him to pay more and get pcx. but no got the cheep Chinese lookalike. been back to shop 3 times now. you get what you pay for. .
here in the Philippines we have the same orientation of PCX the only difference is we got the pcx 150 with keyless variant only. this bike is very comfortable to ride and fuel efficiency..ride safe.
Good for you. It's what I want. Sadly in piece of shit Europe it's only 125, no smart key and costs double after all the criminal taxes
Yeah, the keyless option would've been so nice for this bike in Europe. A missed chance...

Iv got the 20 plates PCX 125 and done 20 miles so far and I agree heated grips and a taller screen would be beneficial. I can fit a flip-up full-face helmet under and my chain.
Thanks for the no nonsense review really nice scooter. I'm considering the pcx but also looking at the 2020 sh125, I''d love to see a review on the sh if possible.
Sh has the better 4 valve engine. I'm hoping they fit the 4v to the pcx
Just personal petty things. I have one with all extras, screen, heated grips, rear rack and luggage top box and it's truly the best toy I've purchased this year.
I have just bought one but as I'm retired getting from a to b quickly is not my concern anymore.
Enjoying the journey and scenery at a relaxed pace is now my main priority.
Rain? No thanks, did that commuting into London summer and winter for 15 years.
Fair weather only riding from now on.
I may even do some touring
Helmet, hate the bloody things
So bought the lightest open face I could find.
Head in a bucket is not my thing even though they give much better protection.
So fitting a skid lid under the seat is no problem.
Overall these imho are one of the best small capacity scooters around.
Lee B I totally agree with you about full face helmets, I have always felt Claustrophobic wearing them, now I have sold my larger bikes I’m going to get myself a scooter and enjoy the freedom of wearing an open face helmet.
@@jasonclarke7422 To be honest Jason one of the reasons I stopped biking for many years was not just starting a family ( so a car was a must)
But the helmet law, most of the time I never wore one until the law changed.
I didn't nore did my other competitors wear helmets when I did Trials riding either. Flat caps was the style or in Don Smith our ex World champion club presidents case a cigarette also hanging out of his mouth.
Even in that helmets are compulsory now

I ride a PCX150 at work, can't get my HJC IS-Max under the seat, but do have a top box for helmet, gloves, first aid kit, and paperwork. The space under the seat I can fit my riding jacket and pants for when I need to go for a walk.
I have managed to get 100kmph out of it but it is wind direction dependant, and it is subceptable to being blown around and can also be tricky in slippery conditions.
A bit harsh to criticise it for not having a kick start when hardly any bike, large or small, has one these days.
Nice review but comment about not having a kick start....really, when did you last ride a bike with a kick start? 😀

Loved the golf ball experiment at the end. Great trivia.
If you turn the Idle stop turn off it increases the extra power from the get go. But its the best in its class in perfomance. You can buy an aftermarket touring screen for the PCX.

I have a 2020 version and I love it, so far I have got it up to 64mph.but Tbh it will cruise at 55 all day..
I live 10 miles from work and I eat a lot of eggs which are almost the same shape as a golf ball so this is the scoot for me! 🤣🤣
Hi mate... Good review and I love Honda. I've never had a bike and not rode 1 in 25 years. I'm thinking of giving my Golf to the wife when she passes and getting 1 of these for work and share with my stepdaughter. What kind of gloves do you wear and jacket? Does the jacket have protection in it? I know nothing.

the manual recommends 2 bar in the front and 2 1/4 in the rear so you,ve got a bit too much in
Looks great like the front looks like a Fireblade. Abs amazing and space seat and dash. There is a promo Honda at the moment interesting. Very tempting to replace current bike 6 years old nearly. 😎🏍️. Actually looks like a small motorbike somehow.

Anyone know if I can plug a hairdryer into the little power outlet in the 'glovebox'? I need to take off some heated grips and have been advised a hairdryer is the best way to melt the glue. The outlet is my only option as I can't park anywhere near a plug.

Nice bike but some very typical overtaking for someone who drives a bike thats normally alot faster.
did they change the fuel tank capacity?
2014 model has a claimed range of 230 miles???
My full tank is 8 Euro.. and driving him every day 65 km on my job... per month i need 40 e... so that is something :) and i m driving fast...
At 134 miles per gallon It'll do way more than 170 miles on an 8 litre tank.

The worst thing about that bike is the handlebar. It just looks like an afterthought.
£295 for heated grips??!! Jesus christ you can get oxford ones fitted for £100 total
I used to wear fleece waxed mittens with silk liners they worked well on my 15mile commute even in mid winter. The thumbs were still ok for switch gear
Think I paid £9 but that's was a long time ago.
Lee B Yeah just wearing good gloves is fine for short rides. Heated grips only useful for long hours riding

3... buy something else. Sums it up pretty well for me, but an interesting watch for sure. I'd probably be well up for it once I can't lift my leg over a proper bike. Sorry, don't want to hurt anyone's' feelings. These bad boys are meant to be pretty good from what I've heard. "A thinking man's bike" is the term I like to use

I've yet to come across a quick bike rider who stays anywhere near the speed limits.

It's a great bike, had one for a year, top box for free, nice smooth bike and one of the cheapest 125's out there, about 800 cheaper than the PCX.
Whats the fastest it goes?
It's up for debate depending on amount of fuel on board, tyre pressures, road gradient, wind and weight of rider but i reckon 67mph is about right!

Tigerick It’s a pretty important asset and many will want to know what can fit under there. For some, it could be crucial to purchasing or not.
@@bennettsbikesocial I went to Barcelona last year and every other scooter was a PCX. They seem extremely popular there. It's a shame we don't have the climate for the Scooter culture.
@@tigerick7291 Absolutely, I can't get over why more commuters won't exchange the expensive, over-crowded and unpunctual public transport system for the freedom of the roads. With some waterproofs, heated grips and decent kit, you're laughing! Did you watch the Scooter vs Train video we published back in October? Michael
@@bennettsbikesocial No I haven't seen that but I will look it up. When I was a lad I only rode motorbikes, I had a ZZR 600 at the time but in winter I rode a 90cc Yamaha step through that I bought for £50. I was great fun and just as quick as the big bike for my 8 mile daily commute at the time.

Scooters 125 are good I have a better spec scooter being forza 125 these are the best 125 scooter range in the market I used to gave a pcx 2014 model was amazing on fuel especially

I have pcx from 2019 Jan. And he spend driving 70or100 km/h about 3 l on 100 km. He is not fast bike goes about 105 km/h max... maybe 112... anf my fullfacehelmet fit there... price in Austria is 2900 e.... insurance is about 12 e per month. Great bike for every day.. smal and real City bike... I will give it from 1 to 10 ... I give 9. And u do not need biger sheld becouse for 60 km per day is ok bike.

Could you compare with the yamaha nmax 125?
Suspension is better on the nmax. Everything the else the pcx 125 wins. It's even faster than the nmax
