    P.S. I agree with you, while I like the look of the PCX, the Nmax is a better looking scooter for me too.

    Can you share some details about the anti-rust treatment, what exactly have you used? I had a '22 PCX and the whole exhaust and backside was starting to look a bit bad after a winter of food delivery work. I sold it after 1,5 yrs and i regretted the decision so much i bought a new '24 model which im currently enjoying, i should put on some anti-rust on it.
    A few things i learned after 12,000kms on the '22 bike:
    The engine somehow breaks in at around 7-8000km, it will become noticeably smoother and more silent, also the fuel consumption will go down. From new it was around 2,4-2,5l at the pump, goes down to 2,1-2,2. I'm 1,90m and 110kg and i rode it very hard. The front brake pads were gone after 8000km, i paid 15 euros for a new set. I had a matte blue which started to look worn after awhile, rain, touching it when getting on/off etc, so this time i went for the pearl jupiter grey color, i also recommend the pearl white, they look like new after years and years while the matt colors will fade.
    It's amazing for the city, super nimble and economical, good enough for a commute on normal roads but i dont recommend it at all on the highway. I went for a test ride 200km away of pure highway and above 75-80km/h it just vibrates and revs too much, it can do 90-95 constantly but it hates it and you just battle it out with trucks at that speed, it was very annoying and not suited at all. Then on the way back i got a strong headwind and could barely get above 80 and the fuel consumption went up to almost 4,0l, that's what a tall rider in full headwind does haha.
    I changed the oil myself every 3000kms (twice as often as honda recommends) as it's just 1L, super cheap and easy, just one bolt thats easy to undo/screw back on.
    All in all ive had zero issues, aside from the fuel cap thing and holding my bluetooth earbuds in the same pocket as the key which made it not work for 5 minutes once. Also i found the underseat storage to be cavernous, can fit my flip-up helmet, combined with a handlebar hook for bags and a backpack and a topcase means i can do all my shopping with the little pcx, no need to start the car and get stuck in traffic, which is a huge time saver. It's also just 12hp but quite decent at running errands with my 50kg girlfriend on the back, it's not as quick but still very doable at city speeds, up to 60-70kmh.
    All in all an amazing product and it made me fall in love with the small economical scooter concept for the city.

      Hi, thanks for the long and detailed comment. Firstly with regard to the anti rust treatment I used XCP Pro for the rear of the bike and that has worked well though it does attract making it look messy. Like any other of these products though this will be no use on the exhaust system and even after 1,500 mine is starting to corrode. For the exhaust I used a product like this previously www.demon-tweeks.com/uk/vht-flameproof-very-high-temperature-spray-paint-7000879/ and that proved far longer lasting that the factory paint.
      Like you I find it a really great option for just pottering around town. Where I do find it's limitation is on hills and there are many in my area. On hills I do find I hold normal traffic up but with a 350cc scooter costing £5,500+ I think the PCX is a great compromise, I just take my time and don't worry about any traffic behind me :)

      is the color degrading over time really that noticeable? I'm in love with the blue one but if it's bad I might just go with the black one.

      @@buttergolem8584 they are both matte and will suffer the same, fade and scratches will be visible, especially on the tunnel area from shoes scratching when you get on, they will lose that new bike shine equally, black maybe even more so. My advice is the pearl colors

      @@LiviuXSA I'd agree. If I was buying again I'd go for a gloss white if still available. Easy to keep looking nice and straightforward to repair / repaint if damaged.

    Did you consider the Yamaha Nmax at any point? I've heard it fits taller riders a bit better (I'm also 6'2). It's reportedly got better brakes as well, but the panels are thin and flimsy and overall build quality does not seem to match the Honda I've heard. But they say the engine is great and it's faster than the Honda.
    I was leaning towards the Nmax purely for the height concerns but if the PCX is fine for us at 6'2, then I think the Honda is better.
    Forza 125 and Xmax would obviously be ideal but they're much much pricier.

      Thanks very much for the kind comments :) It's very much personal preference. Performance wise I think it's had to split them but perhaps pulling away from a stop, around town say, the NMAX has a slight edge. What finally put me off the NMAX was that I heard a few people had worn pistons / barrels at relatively low miles and even a local delivery guy had a 2 year old NMAX that left a trail of smoke and sounded terrible. I could find no such horror stories with the PCX. In short if I was going to do lowish miles and sell once the warranty ran out I might have gone for the Yamaha but I wanted the scoot for a long time so went for the Honda, good luck and thanks!

      @@BikingChap Looking the subject up, I've just seen a video of a South Korean mechanic changing the piston and cylinder of a 2020 Nmax 125:

      No idea about the bike in question's history but there does seem to be some truth to what you've said. And it is a lot of work to replace those parts.

      Let’s be honest, I look ridiculous on it, especially with the very low standard screen. I’m plotting a ‘pizza delivery bike to the south of France’ series at the moment which could either be disastrous or mildly amusing possibly both ;)
      My little cbf125 was the star of my original video, on the same drive, some 9 years ago.

    Good review and agree with your points. I have a 2021 but it is basically the same as the 2024. After 6000km, the sticking fuel cover seems to have resolved itself but I definitely experienced it when the scoot was new. I installed a taller Puig screen and a Shad 33l topcase on mine. My only complaint is that the battery on the remote fobs seem to need to be replaced every 4 - 6 months. Could be some interference with the Honda MapIT tracker that came with mine here in Spain. Brilliant tracker and app though. Not sure why they don't sell it in other countries. After 6000 km, I can hit 110kph indicated but normally drive at 90 - 95 on dual carriageways. Otherwise it is a faultless urban bike and offers great value for the money.

      Ah, thank you! I forgot to mention the fob battery, I had heard about it. Odd isn’t it? As mine has been mainly used round town this was the first dual carriageway run so it may still be a little tight. What impressed me most was how refined, stable and sweet handling it was. Nicer than the 350 ADV handling wise imho.

      @@BikingChap After the initial breaking in period, it maxed out at 105 so it has definitely become slightly faster on the top end with a few more kms on the engine. As you noted, it is more lively at urban speeds than you would think for a 125.

      @@macraemorse that’s useful to know, thank you. I’ve had CBFs and YBRs in the past and while they’re great for longer journey I think the scoots are so much better in town to avoid the endless gear changing.

    Wow, never knew bikes had stop/start 🤯 Assuming you can class the X-ADV 750 as a scooter then I've proper fallen for Scooters. There's an R1250GS in my garage too, but the X-ADV is my goto bike. In fact I'll most likely hand back the GS when the PCP is up and stick with the Honda 😎 Thanks for the real world review.

      I absolutely get that, the 125s are great around town, but do struggle over 50 or where you have bigger, longer hills where the 300 / 350s come in to their own. Then you have the ADV which many guys use for light touring in Europe, like an NC bit with better quality suspension / brakes. What’s not to like?

    My model 2013 start stop only works after warming up the engine + achieved the speed of 5mph. they added the voltage sensor in 2014 so if the battery is too discharged it won't work too.

      Thanks Keith! I’m trying to secure some more bikes to test but it’s hard to avoid the ‘we can lend you bikes if you say nice things about them’ trap which so many channels seem to fall in to. Might be trying some older ‘classics’ 400/4 for eg, not sure how it would go down but it would different :)

      I'm always wary of 'best bike' recommendations because everyone has different priorities. I went for the PCX because I wanted more power than the Vision 110 and Honda reliability but didn't want to spend Forza 125 money. What were your priorities for your new bike?

    Are you comfortable at 6'2"? Im 6'4" will it fit me? How are the vibrations from a single cylinder?

      Hi, ok easy question first, the engine is silky smooth, it really is, so no issues there. As to your height, I'm ok on it at 6'2", the lack of comfort after a while comes from all the weight being on your backside. I think the issue for you, especially if your height is mainly from your legs (I've a 32" inseam) will be your knees touching the handlebars as you turn. It's marginal for me and in the beginning I caught the left grip on my knee once or twice. If you can sit on one and with one foot on the board make sure your knee clears the bars when turned lock to lock you should be fine. Good luck!

    Is there room under the seat for a helmet or no?
    There is in my honda vision 110 2023.

      Hi, it's very touch and go. My large, full faced Shoei doesn't fit but many open faced helmets fit fine. Can you take your helmet in to a dealer and see if it fits being buying?

      I won't wear a half face. If I ever fall off Id like to keep my jaw.
      I just bought my vision so I'm happy enough. Just dissappointed in Honda I guess if they havent designed the PCX to hold one.

      @KrisVic91 fair point Chris, mine is tight but then I’ve got a head the size of a small planet. They’re a fair bit more punchy than the vision and it’s worth checking to see if your lid fits ok. Agreed re the open face lid.

    Hey Jon.....welcome back with a vid......I bought a 2012 PCX and had it for 10 years which I used for work......I had upgraded tall screen, shocks, pipe and a ton of bling attained when I was in Bali....I loved it and so did the wife around town and regretted selling it when I moved out of town...in Bali and a lot of eastern countries they are 150cc ....that extra 25 cc makes a difference.... keep a check on the belt and rollers .....cheers for the vid mate

      Thanks as ever Adam, struggled a bit with the quality on this one but I’m determined to get some more content up shortly. It’s a great little thing and given the stroke appears the same I wonder if it’s just the barrel / piston that differs. Would be a nice little upgrade if so for those with full licenses.

      150cc looks like the standard over the world apart of the UK. 125 cc is a max what a learner can ride + other things like the taxes and A1 driving licence. I wish I could try 150cc. I just wonder if it is the cylinder different only or something or more. Does anyone know?

      @@jerryorange6983 I keep meaning to look up the part numbers but it’s certainly only the bore that’s different so the bottom end may be the same. It’ll be interesting to see as the petrol ban for 125s comes in 5 years before the rest of the bikes whether Honda then bring in the 150s for a few years for full licence holders. Doubtful but you never know.

      @@jerryorange6983 From what I understand its just a larger bore and remapped ecu. I have ridded the 150 in Bali and that extra few cc makes a more fun ride. You can buy a kit but its nearly £500 . Thats a lot really for a cylinder and piston.
