Glad this topic got touched, this actually goes hand and hand with authenticity in life in general, streaming is just a small part of it. Life as a whole has lost its authenticity, everything became abt the check, when before ppl was doing videos and streaming jus cuz they loved creating. We don’t got that no more
AS A UA-camR im, ngl I love this video cause it almost shows how UA-cam has allowed a gateway to open where most of the content is short attention span stream clips, "suggestive animations," and minimal effort videos. I could make an entire video based on my time on UA-cam and what I've encountered since I've been watching/making videos for more than half my life. But it hurts more to say that many of us smaller content creators often think about appealing to "meta" because the standard for videos, depending on your profession (mine being gaming), gets higher to the point that nobody wants to do their own work anymore. This is why you see a lot of thumbnails, editing styles, etc., being so similar because ppl hire editors. But I've dumbed it down to 3 ways you can make it in the content creation business. 1. you grind videos, be different, and pray that one day your videos fall towards the right audience (not guaranteed that you'll reach soaring heights, but at least you tried) 2. you do what everyone else is doing (you won't stand out, but you will get a piece of the pie) 3. you hire people to help you with everything (this is not as bad as number 2, but I couldn't do it cause I want my legacy to be made by only me)
2:27 Siah I've actually got a question because i see that this part can easily be taken out of context. So lets say that someone has been on youtube for over a decade and they have been being themselves and doing their own thing and still didn't blow up or get a lot of views would that mean they didn't deserve to be a content creator? even though they've been on the platform for a decade. It just makes no sense to me because if someone can have a lot of experience on youtube but hasn't gain any popularity you can't just put a label on them saying "OH YOU DON'T DESERVE TO BE A CONTENT CREATOR EVEN IF U ARE BEING YOURSELF." it just doesn't make any sense.
Personally, I interpreted what he said as only referring to big content creators. I think a better way to say it would be "you don't deserve to blow up", rather than not deserving to make content at all.
Tbh, I think “Being yourself” is a vague and broad statement cause I’ve seen some people literally have different personalities through time so I think it’s okay to stick with “Being yourself” but leave room to evolve your personality over time as long as it’s not forced. The key is if it’s forced or not
Nah I feel all of this and honestly as a growing streamer its low key discouraging. Im not going to stop being myself ever but the world will always reward stupidity

I just hate how that becomes what is expected for everyone. However long it takes for me to build my community authentically, I'm down for the journey. I do think authenticity in content is making a comeback slowly but surely
I think lack authenticity is a part of the problem but I also think it’s bc it’s easy clicks. Drama, or any type of controversy generates a shit ton of views. I think the real problem is folks just focusing on numbers. It makes them do stupid shit.
6:40 This is disgustingly true...And it's like that for everyone, we all need a piece of that attention grabbing personality. Even if you're yourself. I mean streams are basically a bunch of people watching one person do something.

As a 34 year old Streamer that’s also a Veteran I feel this 200%. I’m a chill guy that turns up every now and then. I love my authentic audience that come through every night, liking and sharing my videos. Is it bringing in big money, no but it’s steady, I’m at peace and it’s growing but these IRL, crazy over the top streams is not going to last, it’s the equivalent of hitting the corner it’s fast money but it’s not sustainable
He speaks facts when upload music on my UA-cam I’m not trying to play a character in my music cause that’s most artist do.For streamers is basically the same thing it’s basically entertainment.
While some people are just quick to just call this hating, the important thing is how going out and doing wild and crazy stuff for attention can really affect those kinds of creators/streamers mentally . Content creators like that tend to have a unhealthy focus on their growth to the point that they make it their sole mission regardless of how unethical or dangerous it is to others or themselves. The amount of streamers that feel the need to go out and do something borderline illegal , or bother regular people's day which could end up with them either getting arrested, beat up, or even un alived depending on the situation is concerning. That's how you have guys like Foozietube and the like who end up losing a grip on reality all together for the sake of clout. You just got to keep up the grind while staying true to yourself, everyone doesn't blow up instantly, especially today. But being yourself can help you not have to worry about putting on a clown suit every time you go live or press record , and have an audience that likes YOU and not who you pretend to be. Just some of my thoughts on it anyway.
I stream to 1 or 2 viewers sometimes even 0 but I am still myself no matter what. Idc about the types of people who want constant stimulation with whatever the hell you throw on screen. I love and appreciate you talking about this problem. I have a very small niche of people and I'd much rather have that than the tik tok or the public nuisance streamers. I miss the days when streaming was genuine and authentic too. I do my best to bring that exact content bc it's content I like to watch! Love the channel and wish the best for you and everyone on this platform. UA-cam shorts is an actual joke, same with Instagram reels and Tik Tok. We gotta bring back the golden days of content bc it's more informative and fun and it's so sad most people find that shit boring af. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK BRO 💜
Idk if this is just me, but the best streamers are the ones who just play a game, and chat. Nothing over the top, just talking to chat, talking to friends, just having fun. And that is how I have always done it.
I love authentic streamers and UA-camrs,their real people and their the best UA-camrs and streamers u can find,my friend is a streamer and he is one of the coolest people I’ve ever seen on a stream
I just be myself on my streams n vids. If the support is genuine cool, but I ain't about to fake the funk for those that ain't gonna support. Doing me regardless so u know.
I think its the way that going viral has ruled the internet for over a decade now. Its the same with music and other things too. Going viral is the most important for gaining money.
This is mad true i have about 500 subs ive never been crazy consistent but im pretty decent but the industry so fake and i might be a little to honest and people may not like that
i dont get people that doesnt wanna watch streamers playing games and having fun i've been watching youtubers like markiplier coryxkenshin etc like those are the goats and i wish people did more content like that now i dont even watch youtube anymore because of all the explosions editing it burns me out watching it i just want to watch calming videos and honestly as a viewer i love people playing games because thats the old content and i think thats how it should be
I think Trick2g is the best example of a dude who plays a character and breaks his shit all the time but he’s also himself pretty often and has a solid fan base
I miss when like 7 years ago I would see streams just of people literally sitting down or walking around talking and chilling and people would actually stay. I believe TikTok has killed the attention span because it too fast and now everyone is just clip farming and not building an actual community.
You can’t force people to like you eventually those fans will forget you like the you were never a thing. If you be yourself, keep different and able to have fun people will gravitate eventually but maybe try things like grinding on UA-cam first and then hop into streaming or both because twitch is too deep to instantly blowup I’ve found a lot of new content creators and enjoy them for them people like Caseoh and Plaqueboymax who are recommended to me on UA-cam I laugh my ass off to then I come over to twitch and watch them it’s very possible you just gotta believe you can.

Its crazy cause everytime i stream i really do head in without a plan. i always just try to give my authetic self no matter what
damn this is my first video of siaspeaks and i feel inspired
I legit wanna add my 2 cent just featuring on your channel.
Exactly, if you don't enjoy doing it and just doing it for the sake of money then it's for the best to stop
bro its not yapping my nigga its trying to speak your mind homie
attention span died and people only follow trends…..Solluminati was 1 of 1 and that’s why bro blew up!
Realest comment I’ve seen so far omg
I’m glad other people notice these things too
Theblackhokage is a good example of being authentic with his viewers and keepin it real
Idk if this is just me, but the best streamers are the ones who just play a game, and chat. Nothing over the top, just talking to chat, talking to friends, just having fun. And that is how I have always done it.
I like streaming be themselves.
THE ANSWER IS YOU CAN ALWAYS BE YOURSELF 100% BUT THE QUESTION IS DO A LOT OF PEOPLE FIND YOURSELF INTERESTING AND WORTH WATCHING.
Be youuu!!!!
too many kids tryna be Kai Cenat
I love authentic streamers and UA-camrs,their real people and their the best UA-camrs and streamers u can find,my friend is a streamer and he is one of the coolest people I’ve ever seen on a stream
my inspirations to do streaming/yt come from dontai, jev, cory, vanoss
I just be myself on my streams n vids. If the support is genuine cool, but I ain't about to fake the funk for those that ain't gonna support. Doing me regardless so u know.
FACTZ
5:09 basically clip farming and having a script for every stream
I miss the era of yt where you could just put gameplay over you telling a story time and get hella views
I think its the way that going viral has ruled the internet for over a decade now. Its the same with music and other things too. Going viral is the most important for gaining money.
This is mad true i have about 500 subs ive never been crazy consistent but im pretty decent but the industry so fake and i might be a little to honest and people may not like that
I agree
I gotta take UA-cam more serious because it def not enough genuine
this what i been saying forreal
Lmaooo, i just discovered what a lot lizard is. Ima park my Amazon van at a rest stop and see if it still works😂
They all dropped some hard facts on today's streamers and nothing was missed in this video
i dont get people that doesnt wanna watch streamers playing games and having fun i've been watching youtubers like markiplier coryxkenshin etc like those are the goats and i wish people did more content like that now i dont even watch youtube anymore because of all the explosions editing it burns me out watching it i just want to watch calming videos and honestly as a viewer i love people playing games because thats the old content and i think thats how it should be
real ahh talk ses gang
