    Hi! My husband and I have followed your very informative videos - we are actually here in Linden, TN right now (4/14) and will be (hopefully) purchasing land this weekend! So excited. Hopefully, we will get to meet you at some point, in person. I am Nan and my husband is Mark - both retired…now we can be on the road “almost” full time and look forward to making a home for us in Linden. :)

    SUPER Content -- we sell a ton of land, so pro-tip for others who want to do this --- have those Stone Trucks spread that stone -- that will save a ton of money not having that skid steer doing all that work. Nice channel - subscribing.

    Be aware that those trees are less stable now that their roots have been disturbed and some trees are now exposed to new wind patterns. Thats a very cool spot for friendly get togethers with friends. I'll be following...
    As for the gate- you can wait and see how things go, knowing you can do that whenever you need it. Once word gets out, things may change and it might be good to have a gate when you are there. Just saying...

    Merry Christmas, have you looked into above ground concrete storm shelters, there are a bunch of utube videos about them. Incase the hotel's in town have no vacancies.

    Wish you’d have sent the drone up higher to see the layout. I was gonna buy in phase 2, but no prices available so unsure if will keep my flight out this weekend. Well done you two, looks fun.

    you might want to build a roof for your camper to park under because that area gets more wind storms than we get over here in the smokies

    Great idea to set up a home base for those in this lifestyle of travel.
    It would be great if you keep us posted with a breakdown of all the costs involved. Example, land, driveway work, septic, etc. I figure for $150K you could be all set up.

    Beautiful wooded area. Townsfolk seem friendly. However; I'd suggest you put a basement or storm shelter in whenever you do build. ENJOY another New Adventure & Chapter in your lives!

      Loblolly pine trees are known for their shallow root system. Strong winds just tip them over.

    I work for Republic Services and will be transferring from Indiana to Texas next year. I bought a 1997 winnebago adventure 37rw and plan on living in it in a rv park or private lot with my girlfriend and two dogs. I drive a truck for work and listen to your podcasts all the time. Keep up the good work!

    Your property is BEAUTIFUL and I know you all are excited about the progress! Thankful that you all made the decision to stay in a different location. I plan to travel from Ohio to TN in the next month or so to view a few pieces of property.     I see more and more full timers making personal camping spots. There should be a share app, like air b&b for these spots. Just an idea.

    Nice spot. You need to cut down more trees, where you park your camper. Wind can blow over trees, also to close for fire danger. Make a plan for long range house location, for clearing lot.

    Quick question… the Guru Map app you are using, how does it know the actual map (perimeter)of your lot? How do you input that info?

    We just bought land in that same area Lot 19 and we going to do the same thing. We are currently in KS and look to put in two to three pads until we can build a small Cabin. We will be watching to see how everything goes for you as you do this. I am retired Military and look forward to being there in that beautiful area.

    It seems like full time RVers are looking for their own property now a days. So many are getting home bases.

    Mike, two questions on your Ham: 1) What antenna are you using on your RV and how did you install it?, and 2) Are you using DMR at all?

      Dual-band quarter-wave VHF/UHF mounted on the rear ladder. No DMR. I do use FUSION.

    Have you considered getting another vehicle for doing town runs . That way once you get RV sit up . You know nothing is close in the country .

    I travel with cats, are you concerned about BO getting bite by snakes? I don't know that area in Tenn. But that is a concern of mine.

      Yes, that is a valid concern. There are venomous snakes - Rattlesnakes and Copperheads - in the area. They are most active from April to the end of October.

    You two are both such an inspiration to all of us. To undertake a dream such as this is a lot of work but you never let hard work stand in your way. I recently parted ways with my S/O and my half ownership in the RV we purchased together; I’m more upset about the latter (the RV) but am on the hunt for a class B or B+ of my own so I can continue to explore.
    Hope to meet up with you two someday. Thank you for your continued inspiration.
