For those not so electrically minded, it looks regular and normal to see a toaster heating up... just make sure you don't touch those wires because a) they're hot but b) small detail.. they can kill you. :) Be SUPER careful running a toaster while it's disassembled. Can be bloody dangerous. Cheers.
Video may of been a great improvement with verbal rather than annoying music, thank goodness for the volume on/off. Check out all the top Vids out their and no background noises.
Sir we’re sorry for the inconvenience. We’ll be taking your advice seriously and would forward your concern to videos creator to make sure not to add this annoying music.
Using the piece of broken element/wire I re-routed it so that it made contact with (the down stream) formerly disconnected/(non-continuity) element, tested it - (peanut butter sandwich) - its working - am a little worried that I might have created a hotspot where the element/wire is effectively doubled in thickness. If I burn down the house I'll come back with an update. Holding thumbs ( Means - Fingers Crossed- )
Great if u have patience and can put things back together after opening then this video is for you but After watching some part of this the easy solution for me is to go online and find a new toaster
@@easysolutions90: You might encourage people to do this but that doesn't make it a legitimate or recognised repair technique as any legitimate tech will tell you. All you've done is create a dangerous botched fix.
I want the exact opposite! I have a spare toaster and I want to toast a split bagel or English muffin on ONE side only. So from your video it looks as simple as cutting one of the element wires to break the circuit. And that could probably be achieved through the toaster slot using longnose pliers/cutters without dismantling the toaster!

Never repair a broken element by splicing. This is a source of heat and any unauthorised repairs can lead to fires and accidents Get an engineer to fit a new genuine element spare part. If you cannot then buy a new toaster. It is not expensive and safer
Your advice is appreciated but not everyone can afford to hire an engineer for daily basis home appliances issue, taking precautionary measures to avoid any kind of loss.
My toaster would not work at all. Found a broken wire. Aftee doing what happened in the video worked after this. Because of the broken circuit maybe toaster did not want to come on at all. Wonder how to connect the heating element back together fully.
'Fraid that fix will last about 2 slices. It is possible to reconnect broken elements but at a skill level beyond the need to watch vids about the techniques. The average person wouldn't be able to get the things apart and it's a swear-fest even for skilled fixers. Devil spawn devices. But I do encourage people to repair rather than landfill, give it a try by all means.
You have reduced the resistance of the wire. The element will now be hotter and present a fire risk. Modification rather than replacement of components with electrical goods is a bad a idea for a number of reasons. Invalidate warranty, invalidate property insurance, potential fire risk. This should NEVER be attempted by somebody who does not understand exactly what they are doing and the possible implications. Repairs should only be carried out by competent persons using approved parts.
Your point in the last is right but to that extent only as almost in our all videos we guide to the point procedure with all the details for repairing to avoid any kind of mishap btw we appreciate your concern. Thank you!
With the greatest of respect, this is possibly the worst kind of "how to" video to put on UA-cam for the simple reason that unless you know exactly what you are doing you should never disassemble, repair or modify any mains powered electrical device, especially one that utilises exposed conductors. And if you do know what you're doing you're not gonna do what you have done there.
We respect your concern regarding saftey of people as it’s our number one priority to tell all of our audience to follow our videos on their own risk and make sure to not try it unless you are fully capable of doing it with the stuff we used in our video. Still if anyone face fear while doing it, it is recommended that person should not get into this.

Indeed. You said so right plus this precaution added in description also. Thanks for your concern.
You omit the most important part: how to connect the broken?

After watching this video, my toaster went straight into the trash can and I bought a new one
What do you mean by that?
Think he meens it is easier just to get a working one rather than fixing it
But you don't feel like a man.
Hi friend thank you for the informative video. What is the size of the wire
Thanks, this worked!! I didn't even have to take the toaster completely apart to find the broken wire.
Your welcome.
Stay connected
Protip: put the top plastic part in the dishwasher on the hottest setting while you are fixing the electronics. It will come out looking brand new.
Thanks for the tip.
Or melt completely .. this could be one of those Sucker Tips .
I assumed that, but what kind of cable? That´s the solution I was expecting to find.
Fix the cable. That’s all.
💚 I've just fixed mine this way! Thank you.

I couldn't see what was done to the wire after pointing it out. And the music track is dreadful.
I tried to fix mine but it de-melted the wire and lit up… any advice? Maybe I used too small of a strand of the wire?

When I saw that duct tape I was like, I think is time to buy a new one lol
Why? lol
You could repair it.
The big text in the middle of the video is dreadful
Once I saw the duct tape I was like, Yeah, this is it.
I see.
The music was very helpful there was no need to put words on the screen . The music was like sign language. I wish more UA-camrs would just use music

If you do this replace the whole coil wire

Wonder how to connect the heating element back together fully.
You'll check the wire with a multimeter to see if current is going
Then your toaster is perfectly fine
Why not toast on one side and then turn the slices of bread around?
Thank you very much for commenting If you have so much time, you can move the around
OMG don't try this at home folks!
Why? We always say take precautionary measures before doing anything like this but it doesn’t mean don’t try this.
@easysolutions90 This will work 100%, for those not electrically trained don't do it. Get an Electrician to do it.
So i open my toaster to fix it, now the side that wasn't working is working and the side that was working before now it doesn't work.
Check out for the wiring, it might be disconnected.
@@easysolutions90 Yes, i got it now, thanks.

Turn the toaster around the other way and the bad side will start working .

All my points are correct! You should at least instruct people to disconnect the appliance from the power source prior to disassembly!
It’s a common sense that to disconnect an appliance before repairing it to avoid any kind of destruction!

What if I put some fatass juggernaut vape coils in my toaster? Will it be a super toaster?
