@@eladcasspy9466 just started learning this tonight and I can confirm that it is super fun to play. Granted I can play it but It sounds like shit 😂. Better practice it more
Cheers, the amp was on the Bassman voicing and the settings were: Vintage Channel - Volume 1, Treble 4, Bass 7. Burn Channel - Gain (1) 4, Gain (2) 8, Treble 4, Bass 6, Middle 4, Volume 1 and Reverb 2
You're quickly becoming my favourite youtube guitarist. Great taste in music, great playing ability, and that god-like tone! Keep 'em comin' (please!).
@OxygenMcgee Honestly, just practice practice practice! I'm sure you have heard this plenty of times but it truly is the one thing that will get you playing bar chords. The number one thing that helped me was to learn all the notes on both the E and A strings so you know the roots of all the bar chords. Once you know this, just keep practicing the E major/minor and A major/minor root bar chord shapes. Also, visualize your bar chord switches so your fingers will end up in the right place!
dude - you have john mayer's thumb! how you guys bend it freakishly like that is awesome.. I can't quite get that far down on the thumb wrap (yet)! Thanks for posting!
yo man. i listenend to bold as love, lenny, and wait till tommorow. you are truly a great guitarist. God Bless bro!!! you will do a great thing with this gift God gave ya man.
@cmsquared63 totally agree with you man, a lot people think they know how Hendrix would feel today just because they're a "fan" of his but nobody knows how he would really feel. Mayer's a musician, hendrix was a musician, I'm a musician, many other people are musicians and that's what matters
Pretty redonk! I was waiting for the camera to move up and be John Mayer, that in itself is impressive. Would like to see you play your version of this song and since I know you have the ability. Nice work!
@fartknockers even in those days they had overdubs and i´m pretty sure hendrix would have recorded the music first and then add vocals, mainly because he was not at all comfortable with singing... and theres also a reason hendrix never played this song live....
@UnfukmeeIsAFatTroll U know that people are saying that he's the successor of Clapton, right? And I wholeheartedly agree. Don't bash other musicians- if u listen to him, u'll hear that he makes staggering improvements in his playing in every album he releases. He's already reached a music milestone, recieved many Grammys, sold several albums, and has made a name for himself in pop and blues music. What have u done since 2000? Sat on ur ass, bashing dudes out of jealousy?
Not sure if it just YT but are you using some compression, highs and lows seem nice and even, when I play more rhythmical parts like this, I feel the highs and lows are too harsh at times, this was very smooth overall, will a compression pedal help to get that sound? Anyone?
@mrnikhilbanerjee I think more than 1 out of 10 teenagers would know about Hendrix, more like 9/10. The facebook pages is a good point though. However, i believe it is because more ppl listen to green day today, than to jimi hendrix. But then its all about the definition of famous. If famous means many ppl know them, or many ppl listen to them.
Would you please do an instructional video for us? I've been trying really hard to emulate your playing with a little success but it would be soo much greater if you slowed things down and talked us through this awesome song. Thanks and keep posting these awesome video's!!
Jim was a bit of dude wasn't he, sorry pilky27, actually wait, you can tell you've done a good job because you've got comments talking about the legend of Hendrix and not your shite playing, so you are playing it well. Congratualtions *applause*
@wainerkorven green day just has simple straight forward pop punk annd theres nothing wrong with that! the ramones only used three chords in their whole carreer! and how famous are they? nonetheless this s a great cover and hendrix is the man!
@JoostVanKommer Ye i understand what you are saying but i still dont like power chord spam sry. Makes all songs sound the same. I dont judge them from their famousness, but from their musical talent.
Awesome cover with a nice solo at the end ! At last something that is not a John Mayer cover : - ) ! I guess that it's the appropriate tempo but it makes it hard to sing along doesn't it ?!
This guy is a total pro. Too good not to be a known musician beyond UA-cam IMHO. I'm not a conspiracy theorist, but.... something a bit fishy. Anyway, whatever the case, I can listen to Plinky jam 24/7. What a brilliant player. Guy's got a gift.
Thanks for your comments. I had the amp on the bassman setting with some reverb and used the "burn" channel for the solo.
thanks for letting us know. Is it a 60 watt or 22 watt amp
@@jasonshrestha i guess 22
How did you play that one part from 0:00-3:00??
im trying to learn this song and you just made me lol jesus this guy is good
@@marcusadams6595 this is probably the most fun song to play, well, did you make it?

I love the burn channel licks you used! It sounded a lot like Stevie ray Vaughan in the beginning
huge ol hendrix hands!
Best guitarist on You Tube!!!!
Absolutely perfect playing absolutely flawless and the distorted tone was literally Hendrix
The guitar even sounds like John Mayer’s voice
Not really. His is a bit too thin. I don’t know how to explain it but they don’t sound alike.
You're quickly becoming my favourite youtube guitarist.
Great taste in music, great playing ability, and that god-like tone!
Keep 'em comin' (please!).
Narrator - "he did indeed, keep them coming"
i have been trying SO long to get a part of that main riff to sound right. thank you thank you thank you
A very John Mayer feel to it, great cover.

I wish you had better recording device. Your guitar play is awesome
Great solo man.
So it's in the key of G?
It's in the key of entire fretboard by the looks of things lol
@PaulMcCharmly
Jimi Hendrix ,not mayer
what's your amplifier?
I think a Compression Sustainer, I want the tabs, for accurate playing..:P
Im a teenager, and i can asure you that more than half the amount of teenagers i know, know Jimi Hendrix... but only his obvious stuff.
Constantly practice. Day after day. You'll get the hang of it :)
LOL....
I always thought it was a rake at 0:11 but anyways great playing
@PaulMcCharmly So did Jimi
You need to put out more videos, all of your covers are the best on youtube.
sounds like sugar man real good playing ,ghot the tabs or notes?please please

bro...the song is meant to be played 1/2 step down(d# a# f# c# g# d#)not the standard tuning (e b g d a e)...thts why it sounds right on the 8 fret

Just always like the finder sound ...
Don't think they can. Hes not playing the actual music in the background. But Experience Hendrix would if they could..
Your thumb is longer than my forearm!
it's not how long it is, it's how you use it :P

tabs?
Im still convinced that this just is john mayer
I wanna see Karls face when he's feeling the music
Angel how do you know?

Ali Mirza Genç makeup
Agreed. He moves just like him and wears what he used to wear (pre tattoo)
