The fact that I spent months saving for this plant, to finally have it arrive on the same day you drop this video, means that the universe is telling me to subscribe! (I did!! Thank you for the tips!!)
Perfect timing, thank you for this video! My Gloriosum arrived last week and has a new leaf unfurling 😍 I‘m absolutely in love with this plant and it’s sitting right next to its sister, a Melanochrysum. 😍
I have only STEM for my Gloriousum from perlite now i change into pafcal chips after few months dont have any progress. Since then new leaf are slowly grow from the buds ❤️❤️❤️ can’t wait to see my gloriousum getting bigger
Great video just added this to my wishlist today. Seems easy if you're used to caring for aroids. You forgot to put the link in the description for your friends air layering video.
Congrats Princess on the 10k! I think I joined before 3k! I imported my big G and should arrive next week so this video was right on time! You go girl keep up the great content and grow ya channel! Halla!
I got one 2 weeks ago and it was pretty big done everything right had no pests and low to medium light but 2 big leaves went yellow and fell off so now I've got 2 smaller leaves left they have turned yellow as well but still on the plant do you think its trying to acclimatise thanks good video loved it
I just received my Gloriosum and I noticed that the leaves have fluid filled blisters. Like if you pop it, there’s water inside. The leaves also turned yellow within two weeks. The roots are very healthy and the soil is moist. Is this bacteria/disease? How’s your plant now?
I have a question about dust on the leaves. Do you wipe it off with damp cloth, or leave it? I would be scared to put it under shower as even with well draining chunky substrate it's gonna be Moist.
Beautiful plant! I love your content! My new fave... strange question though, what us your intro song and music it is making me nuts, I really like it! Anyhoo, keep the vids coming they are very informative.
It’s very hard to know 100% but just make sure you are at least asking the important question, “where does your supplier get these plants? Are they picked from the wild”. You will likely catch some sellers saying yes, as they don’t know the severity of the situation.
I was SO excited for this video! Thank you! I do have a question though..So I recently bought a Plowmanii, which has a pretty similar growth pattern..i got it from a nursery and it already had 3 fairly large leaves. I got it home and over a few days realized it had, possibly thrips, and the leaves went downhill pretty fast. I've done all the treatments, but the damage has been done, so I'm going to need to chop it before the leaves TOTALLY go😬 the top leaf and node don't have roots yet though, so how should I propagate that cutting? I'd appreciate ANY suggestions! ❤❤
If you’re sure it has thrips, the best way to go about it would be to cut off all of the leaves as that is where they lay their eggs. You will get new leaves from the axillary buds! It seems harsh at first but it’s the best way. Once all of the leaves are gone, submerge the stolen and roots in neem or captain jacks or end all for a few hours!
Beautiful plant! Can you tell me if the care tips (mainly light and water) are the same for a Philodendron Plowmanii? I recently bought a stem/stolen cutting, its my first "rare" or less common plant and the leaves, which are just tiny (the largest is maybe 3 inches) were already curling under and yellowed around the edges. There is a new growth point on another node (there are two nodes) but it isn't doing anything so far. I really want this plant to succeed as I think they are beautiful at full size. Most of the care tips I see online are from plant channels in the southern hemisphere and say to keep it moist and not to let it dry out but the yellowing leaves concern me although the roots did look healthy. Its currently in a 4" terracotta pot in really chunky well draining soil, the stolen is maybe a quarter height under the loose top soil, I have it about 2.5 feet below a general purpose LED grow light around a pebble tray with my Alocasias'. As we are at least in the same country with roughly the same climate any tips will be greatly appreciated.
Such a gorgeous beauty! Very intimidating. 😱. I know that clear pots are mostly for orchids so finding them larger than 6" is impossible,so far, for me 😞. I have googled my fingers off. Do they come larger than six inches? If not, being a plant influencer,I think that you should develop your own larger clear pot line!💓😊😘. Love this video 💓
I always kill mine, I’ve had two but they were both pretty juvenile so I’m thinking about getting a large one & trying again but I’m so scared to buy it & kill it if I spend the money on a big boy. I just know sometimes when the plant is more mature it’s easier, I am thinking maybe I should go with a glorious instead I honestly don’t know. 😂

I just traded for one! Thanks so much for the tips!

Very useful information, thank you for the video.
Gorgeous it's so big! I got one as well it's so tiny the leaves are smaller than my palm. 😁 But it keeps on pushing new leaves such an easy philo!
Thank you! I literally just got my first one a few days ago and i need all the tips i can get 😅
Such a great tip video!

I think its just called good !
Great suggestion about not buying from poachers but do you have information on how to distinguish between growers and poachers?
It’s very hard to know 100% but just make sure you are at least asking the important question, “where does your supplier get these plants? Are they picked from the wild”. You will likely catch some sellers saying yes, as they don’t know the severity of the situation.
Thank God I got mine from Enid . I would seriously feel horrible if i got it and it had been poached.

Your gloriosum is spectacular 😍
Did the grow light also cause your leaves to curl inward from the tip a bit? I can't figure out if mine has too much light..
Excellent review!! If my gloriosum is crawling out of its pot do I have to repot it or is it okay for the stem to be just in the air? Thanks!
It’s okay! I would repot eventually but it happens!
Such a helpful video thanks!
I can’t wait to own a gloriousum one day!
I wonder if this can grow on moss pole, so like the stem will be attaching to the moss and actually climb? Hm
New sub . Very informative video . Thanks you kindly.
Very informative 👍
It’s a gorgeous plant. 💚

Definitely keep it dry and only water when the leaves start to get a bit droopy. I would move the grow lights further away. They like lower light ☺️
@@LulusLeaves Thank you 😊
