@@buttsbuttsbutts68 Yeah that’s fair. You can definitely achieve dynamics with triggers, but regardless of how well you manage the samples/set up the triggers, there’s always going to be a robotic element to them in my opinion. I have no problem with them at all, just not my cup of tea

Acoustic drums just simply sound better to me. Always. I know this is mixed.

@@drumttocs8 Yes, but compared to the triggers, these are just way more dynamic still. (Not saying triggers can't be dynamic!)
It's the very subtle things that just gives the drums life.
I would mix these a little different, but mind you, i'm no master of a mixer at all. But i would do it a bit different, to my personal taste.

Hey all! As im a cancer survivor, I was fortunate enough to be eligible for a Make a Wish, and as a drummer, I thought I might as well make my wish useful and long lasting, so I asked for a drumset. And low and behold, after a looong process, I eventually got this kit but in the Blue Abalone color and it looks suuuper gorgeous. I'm doing jazz drums for my major in college currently at Texas State and eventually, I'll be able to use my kit over here. Neeldess to say, this kit is super dope and saved me a ton of money. I just need to replace the heads 😅
Also, along with the kit, I was able to ask for cymbals that I could pick out personally, and I got basically everything I would ever need, including a redline pearl pedal, top of the art pearl equipment, and hardcases as well. I'm very fortunate that Make a Wish was so cool with this process!!!

It is wild how noticeable the increase in sustain is on these drums. I’m very impressed with the tone.

Being a professional acoustic drummer for many moons I love Pearl drums. I have a DW jazz series kit which are maple gum with die cast hoops and I love the resonance.
Maybe the definition of resonance has changed over the years or something, or maybe my ears just can't hear it anymore. I hear almost zero resonance in these drums. Sound flat with a little thud
I was cleaning the toilet while listening this. It's amazing how a nice sounding drum kit can make almost anything a better experience.

Whooooa that is such an incredible drum kit! Pearl has really been killing it as of late with their maple gum series and this demo is a perfect example of that! Pearl truly make some fabulous kits, I got a Pearl Decade Maple a few years ago, such a perfect kit. I love how Pearl make drums that sonically capture the best qualities in the tones while not being all about boom or crack; there's plenty of it boom, but it sounds controlled like it's in a studio already. Bravo Pearl & 66samus! \m/ Nothing beats acoustic drums \m/

Ive been on pearl since 2007, played a masters kit in February this year (supporting Decapitated in the baltics, i wouldnt say i was fanboying, but i was definitely fanboying 😂) but i digress. The masters kit was a joy to play. I cant afford anything like that, but ill happily stick with my 2007 Export until im dead 🖤
